Great job, it looks amazing especially the way you lit up the bottom lava. I installed the bricksmax kit for €80 since I didn’t like most kits and liked this one the most. Buying seperate components of lightmybricks would’ve been very expensive which I didn’t want to do since the set itself is allready expensive enough. Ps your lit up collection looks insane👏👌🏻
Hey Mike-awesome vid as always! Nice job with your custom lighting of Barad Dur. I’m with you, I much prefer the flicker effects of the original version 1 of LMB. Also, loved the yard sign in the Simpson’s House!
This is an incredible piece of work! I have the same reservations about LMB 2.0...it seems really great but also quite limiting. I was going to use the new kit for the Back to the Future delorean but you can only have it in the traditional car mode and not flying. Anyway...keep up the great vids!
I would be interested in learning how you determine what components to buy for sets that don’t have premade kits. I want to light my Monster Fighters castle and don’t know how/where to start. I see that you have the same set but just have flood lights on it. Maybe we could do a video for that set? Thanks for putting out your videos! I really enjoy watching them
@@monkees71 No problem! First just look at the set and decide what colors you want to go with. I used a lot of green on mine. Then look at what components you have available for purchase. From LMB or wherever you can buy separate components. I spot lit the outside and inside with green lights. So if you want to do that I’d buy the spotlight pieces from LMB and maybe 2 packs of lights and 6 or 8 port connecting boards. Then I’d buy some connecting cables maybe a pack of 15cm and a pack of 30cm. You’ll also need the usb wire or the battery pack to power it. I’ll make a short for you and post it.
How do you connect all of your Light kits? I have like 9 Light Kits and I want to connect them together... all of them running with battery boxes right now
@@wolfsrudel6861 I buy the connecting boards and some cables separately and use them to run sets together. Then you can just use either one battery box or, use the usb. I use the usb into a WiFi wall plug. Hope this helps!
Wow. You actually done Barad Dur lighting that looks menacing and not like Christmas tree. Awesome.
@@gadjung Thank you! I appreciate it!

@@onlyBaguettes Thank you! You’re definitely right about it being more expensive. I like the Briksmax kit. It’s definitely more cost effective.
I am contemplating using Light My Bricks for my Barad Dur set, did you create a bill of materials for anyone wanting to DIY instead of LMB?
@@randallsimmons391 I did not but, I can figure it out and let you know. I’m currently on vacation though. Give me a few days.
@@LitBricksdid you end up making one?
@ I haven’t yet. I will though.
