What a great way to pass half an hour on a Saturday afternoon. Glass of wine, a few cheese sticks and watching trains go by. Thank you and cheers to Jago and Thames Link.

Ah, London Bridge - I was able to visit only this week, and to play the rather marvellous pipe organ which is tucked away. It rather beats the common-or-garden railway station piano!

I've always loved the sound the Desiro traction motors make as the trains arrive and depart. They remind me partly of the Class 350s near Birmingham (I live near the Snow Hill line in Worcestershire though so I'm more used to the DMUs; haven't travelled on the 350s much as I've never had much need to go to New Street), but mostly of the Class 444s and 450s from whenever my family would visit my grandmother down in Liss and we'd often take the train down to Pompey (or at the very least, five minutes down the line to Petersfield).

Thameslink has evolved ever since it became operation many decades ago. And today it still is the most busiest major railway line that goes north to south and vice versa. And with the Class 700 Desiro City trains being the most reliable trains that came into service in 2016.

I think it's at City Thames Link where you can watch them put their antlers up. Or take them down
