I have been using RejeX®, it's a thin-film polymer coating designed to provide a high-release protective finish. It was originally design for use on fighter jets canopies to eliminate yellowing and promote a clear undistorted view. There are no abrasives in it. I hand buff often on my new Club Car Golf Carts and CanAm Spyder Windshields. Golf Cart windscreens are known for yellowing and scratching, Rejex keeps the windscreens looking like new(just keep people from fingering when visiting). I have a 9 year old F4 Windshield on my 2021 CanAM Spyder, I've used Rejex on it from new and it still looks like new. The F4 replaced the stock windshield.
I've used Rejex and a buffer on a a number of my friends windshields/windscreens with remarkable results.

I use metal polish on my windshield and the plastic body with a DA polisher similar to what you have, and it comes out incredible. The metal polish is much more aggressive than any car polish but still finishes out nice. Kind of like a one step compound and polish. Give it try sometime, I bet you'll be surprised! Great vid! 🍻

I'll have to try that out. The windshield on Ron Burgundy is due, we ran it into some tree branches. Thanks for checkit it out!

I bought a new tinted windshield a few years ago and the tint is beginning to bubble up.
Is there anyway to fix a factory tinted windshield?

    • @acautocarts24
      @acautocarts24  Рік тому

My impression is the tint is in the plastic itself, so same process applies. The one we did here on the black Yamaha is tinted.
I haven’t seen one where there is a film on it. That doesn’t sound factory to me. Did someone put a tiny film on it?

      I don't think so.
I broke one and ordered a new one and he asked if I wanted tinted or clear.
I'll have to check and see if it's embedded in the shield, or applied over it.
      Thanks for responding

What kind of compound do recommend, When I purchased a new windshield from China it came with these weird spots on the windshield, I thought i could just use windshield cleaner but it did not come off. By the looks of it I will need to buff it out. I see some of the products your using but I don't have a compound yet.

Thanks for the note. I have been using some compounds from ADAMs polishes. They are not super abrasive so would be difficult to ruin the plastics. our viewer @mygt8a4re mentioned using wheel polish in the comment below.
I have some product links in the video description if you want to check those out.
      Thanks for the question!

Hey, I used a vinyl sticker for a charity golf tournament on some golf cart windows, and it won't come off! Do you have any advice for me? The course is furious, I need help!

Oh no! Have you tried some heat? Either put the cart in the direct sun so it loosens the glue some. Try that first. Be careful with solvents, you don’t want to eat the plastic. No razorblades except to maybe pick at an edge to get started peeling.
      Good luck!

I know this is a little late, but steam would be your best bet. You can get a cheap steamer from Harbor Freight. Call a local car detailer and they most likely would have a steamer that would take that off in no time.
