- In this video I show you how I plumb the 55 gallon drum for pressure washing and soft washing.

Much appreciated man. Great information. People like you are saving us younger "go-getters" a ton of time & headaches.
I'll be doing the same for the next generation! Blessings 📈
Thanks. I try to pass on what I have learned.
Perfect vid, thanks
Thanks for watching 👍
Ok your video helped me ! Just wanted to show my idea of plumbing the cap. I got a 1/2” Uniseal which fits snug under the bottom of the cap. Then ran 1/2” line through it. Then 1/4 downstream like through the 1/2”
Glad I could help. Sounds like it should work. Uniseals are good.
Very good video. Thanks for the info. I am in the process of building my first rig and struggling with filtering the SH, ( to filter or not filter) but since you dont seem to be having any issues with your soft wash side I will try something similar to what you did and see how it works.
Yeah I dont filter the SH. Any filters I think may slow the flow through the pump. I put a mesh filter in once and the bleach eat it up.
Nice setup, thanks for the info. Will you make a video of the final setup? 😎
Thanks. Yea for sure. I will have everything moved and ready to get it soon.
Love the video. How did you get that inner cap out to expose the 3/4” thread? Did you need to cut it out?
Thanks for watching. Yes I drilled some of it out,but still needed some threads so I took a razor knife and cut the excess off.
Could this same set up be used with a 12v pump? I'm building a budget 12v soft wash system and am curious if it would have a problem pulling from this set up.
Yes it does. One fitting on this is for my pump the other is for my downstream hose. Check out some of my other videos and you can see how I have it plumbed in the truck. Super easy. Thanks for watching 👍
What did you use to cut the bottom lip off the bung hole cap. I have the same problem.
Razor blade knife. Once you get it started it will almost follow the threads.
Is there any GPM or pressure benefit in using larger size fittings and hoses? 3/4" garden hose, soft wash hose, and all fittings? Versus the different smaller size fittings and hoses?
Bigger hoses don’t always mean better. It all depends on what your trying to accomplish.
I wanna see it in action!
Check other videos. I ran it like this all year until I got a bad pump and then I had to re plumb it.
@@jonboysprowash7845 I wanna build one, I just wanted to know what the outcome looks like when using it!
@@user-jk6yd1ds4w it worked great for me. I’m not sure which video it is,but I show how I have the downstream injector hose coming out one side and the 12v from the other.
What do you use for a bleach filter before the pump?
I don’t filter the bleach before the pump. I should clarify that. I run a strainer on my downstream tube but not on my soft wash pump. Thanks for watching 👍
How do you plan to vent the drum when you start drawing? I plan to use the same set up but for softwash only. I'll still batch in a separate tank for downstreaming to be able to add soap. Just remove the other cap each time?
I will run it with both tight right now and see how that works. If that gets to be a problem with the tank I will loosen up a cap. Just be trial and error with it.
Just an update. I have ran this for 2 months now and I don’t tighten the caps. I thread them to keep from coming out. It has been a huge game changer for me and my setup. 👍
How do you get the knock out, out ?
I drilled mine and then cut it with a razor blade knife to clean it up.
@@jonboysprowash7845 awsome, did it draw sh with the 3/4 pipe? got mine all set up just curious if i will lose draw with such a big pipe
Yea it draws fine. Not had an issue with it since I changed it to this way. Really nice too because I don’t have to worry about it floating up in the mix.
That damn bag grrrr lol
😂😂😂
What's your 50/50 mix?
Just bleach and water
@@jonboysprowash7845 10/4
@@jonescleaningservicellc8076 I use to use soap, but not anymore. I get the 15% so I mix it 50/50. If using weaker bleach mix it stronger with bleach like 70/30 or 80/20.
@Jonboy's Pro Wash ok I was just saying to myself does he use soap with the bleach are not. I have a vertical 25gallon tote that I want to use for my batch mixing but wasn't sure how I wanted to set up my trailer yet. Still have to buy the pump etc.
Just play around with it,and then act like you are on a job. Once you want to move things around to where they work for you then bolt it all down. I use to use soap, but not anymore. It didn’t make a difference for me. When I do a roof I may add a little, but not much.
Is this doable with a metal drum?
You can plumb it this way,but not put bleach in it. It wouldn’t last long at all.
@@jonboysprowash7845 it’s just to use on a few cars really so that works! Thanks!
@@Gyushinoo You’re welcome. Thanks for watching 👍
I think those nylon fittings might get eaten up by the SH
Hey James. Which nylon fittings are you talking about?
That must be for roof washing only bc that’s the only thing you can use the 50/50 mix on.
I use it for everything. One hose pulls to my 12v pump the other goes through my downstream injector. Works great.
Are we just not gunna talk about the face at the bottom of that grey plastic bag?
😂 what time in the video?
Use a “T” instead of a 90
In the top of the tank?
I like the video, but that bag was so irritating
I know. Thanks for watching 👍
