I really appreciate you all putting proper subtitles in the videos
I didn't know this came out until I watched the video you just posted
Canceled games always intrigue me .
Same
Same
Scalebound lol
I don't think that's what you mean to say
i love 3D games on primarily 2D consoles. they're always really neat to see
I actually enjoyed the longer videos I like to put the stuff on my stereo from my phone and listen to you talk about gaming stuff while cleaning my house thank you very much lol
From what I remember, the Mega Man Mania game never got finished because all the source code got lost
With all the Mega Man Collections we’ve been getting this would be THE time to finally give us Mega Man Mania which could now be called Mega Man Handheld Collection. They could even add in Mega Man Xtreme 1 & 2
i'm so happy that the Shantae GBA game is gonna see the light of day
honestly, i never watched this video until now, and i'm glad that my first time watching this is after the announcement
Huh. I just logged on and caught this within a few minutes of it being uploaded. That almost never happens...
the frame of the hyrulean king got me
45:31 How tf is that GBA?? That looks like a DS game
That's the power of the BlueRoses engine! There are several other games using this engine such as Smashing Drive and Big Mutha Truckers.
@@Sterophonick came to say this. Those devs are super talented
@@SECONDQUEST absolutely
Imagine making a slightly rage comment with your verified youtube channel lol
@@drunkencel4091 It’s not a rage comment. It’s just crazy that’s GBA
This was a great video. I love the longer videos. Something nice to put on in the background.
ok, I'm here. I'm watching. It's not Mother's Day and I have time
I haven't watched this channel in awhile, & I forgot how much I liked hearing about game development & whatnot. It's so interesting how games come to be & what the devs experienced.
I miss the GBA years, sad to see there was much more potential out there
Man these really help with work. Keep them coming DYKG
Dark Knight by NAPS team eventually became the upcoming Indie project Baldo, which is itself a Zelda-like game with an art style inspired by Studio Ghibli and Anime. I am so looking forward to playing it when it releases.
i always loved reading about obscure old games on wikipedia and this video is like that but turned up to 100. great content thank you
"Just do whatever you think works best."
"...Oh, but don't do anything too cool, hold those for the box."
Yeah, definitely sounds like Microsoft.
Especially in the 2000s lol
“Is this footage from the project they’re talking about or an entirely different game?” I repeat this question about every ten seconds on these canceled game videos.
23:29 “I think your chickens like me better than you”
sir, your transitions between segments were beautiful.
Fine, I am watching it now, happy?
20:36 bro animaniacs was my favorite cartoon series and the fact that it still got video game tie ins all the way until the gba and gamecube Era says alot about how many people love the series and still care about it
Great video! Personally, I'd love a video on cancelled Wii games. I know there are a lot of cancelled oddballs on there
Man, this video is really well researched. Good job guys.
This video was recommended to me btw. Just been busy ;)
Where's that new vid at? The one that says 'YouTuBe isN't sHoWinG yOu oUr Vids'
Think they finally realised that they done fucked up 😆
@@LadyNeeka common sense kicked in
@@Omabatfartsbruh Took them long enough! 😂
It did show the vid
Most comments on that vid said they just didn’t watch it
I have a research paper to do, I must come back later to watch
"...the 2012 comedy Food Fight." Said as if it's a real film. With effort put into making it. Just made me smile to myself.
It exists, sadly.
@@hectormanuel8360 unlike all these games.
Which is even more of a shame
@@shytendeakatamanoir9740 These games also exist but unfortunately are lost
OKAY IM WATCHING THIS VIDEO FINALLY ARE YOU HAPPY GEEEZE
I love how Retro City Rampage DX really fulfilled what a GBA/SNES GTA would be like, with extra nintendo-ism. That game was an instant classic
Kinda funny how they make a post bitching about it doing badly, and then it suddenly gets recommended and starts doing well
Uh is it possible that the video they made saying their subscribers weren't served this GBA video actually led a lot of those subs to realize this video existed so they came and watched it? I mean that was the entire point of them posting that video. Makes sense doesn't it
It showed, for a lot of us... Many of us though didn't have an hour to spare on a finals week+Mother's day weekend on a video about cancelled gameboy advance games

@@El_Frutero - Yeah they didn't say it showed for everyone, they said it was shown to less people. The video's like 2 minutes and 20 seconds of it is them saying the clickrate was average but views were way down, which means people were just as likely to click it if they saw it, but fewer people saw it.
@@thegrapefruit8362 I only came to this video to shame them but they still get the view, I'd say in the long run it wasnt worth it, it left a bad taste in alot of people mouths.

They unlisted it LOL

Dude, Nintendo’s audacity to be like, “Yes please give us exclusive rights to Harry Potter.”
TBF the movies weren't a thing yet, so it was just a series of popular kid novels rather than the juggernaut IP it is today.
Also it would have meant Harry Potter in Smash Bros
@@nonnoumby Dude I didn’t even think about Harry in Smash.
@@nonnoumby That still wouldn’t have happened since Smash only uses characters who originated from video games. That’s the one hard rule they’ve had to this day
@@thedapperdolphin1590 Sakurais rules are about as solid as melted butter
@@thedapperdolphin1590 Book characters are in a grey area. We do have Henry Fleming from Code Name Steam as a Spirit, but he is based on a novel character.
Also he considered James Bond for Melee but didn't follow because of realistic guns and having to license the actor's face.
A lot of these sounded really cool. Such a shame they never made it out!
I know! Radium would've happened on a home console with barely any changes.
Some of these titles look so interesting. So sad we never got to experience them.
Cancelled GBA game: *has good graphics*
GBA: "We don't do that here."
Man I love this video and I’m so glad UA-cam remembered to show it in my sub box. Can’t wait for the next video *stares angrily at the youtube algorithm*
I see what you did there at 14:34
Nice touch
Never expected Oggy and the cockroaches to be mentioned here
i saw that in Wikipedia
Honestly, this should have been done in several short videos (10 - 20 minutes each) instead of one long video.
I like how you guys complained about how this video got no views. Then the community explain to you why we didn't watch it. Then you delete the video just pretend it never happened.
It happened. ua-cam.com/video/UOnBqOWryJQ/v-deo.html
Knowing some of the crappy games that actually end up going through with production, it’s sad to see some of these promising titles canceled, especially when they’re mostly finished.
Guinness world record for most segues in a single UA-cam video.

I had no idea there were so many 3D games planned for GBA.
Man, never realized how many studios went belly up in the early 2000's
Many were started too, people were excited about new tech but much of the industry hadnt grown nor advanced enough quite yet. Kinda like how the GBA having an ARM chip but no backlit screen. So many ahead-of-their time things from that area in gaming and general tech. Now the industry is huge, my 8 year old son wants a GBA lol

That first Pokémon game you described, well it did come out eventually. It's called Pokémon Go. It's a mobile multi-player role playing game that its gameplay depends on location, time of day, and weather.
