For the price of that thing, the mic quality of the Sony headset is beyond shameful.
He didn't mention this but I bought them. And aside from kazoo level mic they have close to the lowest max volume of any headset I've ever used. Absolutely nothing worth buying those Sony h9 are a huge flop.

I tried many and the best option under $ 70 for sure is Karmafier Immersum Headset. It has really really good audio. Amazing bass (I'm a bass head) and really clear highs. And I really appreciate the lack of muddy mids. I owned more expensive ones before that were not as good.

When I play games with my friend, they always tell me to turn my mic on that it’s making the buzzing noise. IDK what causes this. I’ve changed 3 different headsets and it’s still thesame. Although I haven’t tried wireless headsets yet. I plug the 3.5MM jack directly to my controller. Is there any way to fix this? What causes this? Any help? I also try this myself when I go to settings to see my mic quality on the Ps5, immediately I turn on the mic to talk I hear buzzing sounds

Just got the nova pros and I love them being able to listen to UA-cam while gaming is so amazing when waiting in the lobby so my team mates don't hear all the sounds
I think there was a few important things left off or just barely touched on about the nova pro wireless. If you like the wired sound better there is a jack on the headset. You can also use them as a normal headset wherever you go not just a gaming headset cause with the mic pushed in you can’t tell. Probably my most liked feature is having them connected to my phone and my console at the same time. You can watch UA-cam while waiting on the game or or need help in the game while still playing. The one thing I think they should have is a mute button on the hub. Heck they might have added it already. I haven’t updated lately.

I had Arctis Pro Wiress for about 4+ years. Once my Arctis Pro Wirless breaks, I will move to Nova Pro. I've been lovingArctis series. Amazing features and sound quality.

they got the mics down but the audio kinda sucks if you put them on full volume they produce a faint white noise

Debating on getting the arctis nova. My arctis pro wireless just broke last night taking it off my head, and I don't know why cause it's the same way I always did. But I noticed that the left turn nozzle basically, to wrap it around your neck or place face down, moves on its own for some reason while the right one stays still. That could be the reason it broke, basically just that it got twisted.
I got the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for 279€, and do not regret the purchase one bit! Your review had a big say on the decision, thanks 💙

Hey, can you do a list of the greatest Headphones for gaming, but also other content? I always see UA-camrs do lists about headsets, but they are often way inferior to headphones like Beyerdynamic DT770 oder 990, basically with the only advantage of having a microphone.
It would be nice to have list to compare headphones between each other.
Edit: to clarify I do agree, that a lot of those headphones have been covered and even compared, since they are often already very very old and not just recently released. But it would be nice to have a video on them from a gamers perspective, not just from audiophiles, that use Music or film as their base.
And I also like the idea to also cover bluetooth DACs since I actually know even less about them.
I want to agree, but there's just not much more to say about them. All the good classic headphones have already been released, and the ones that were good 20 years ago (like Sennheiser HD600) still remain good today, so they've already been covered. Whereas with new funky gamer headsets, there's just much more to cover.
But I do agree that Frank should cover them anyway. And maybe also a video on Bluetooth DACs, so one can have those good headphones as wireless.
I suggest finding an audiophile talking about budget headphones because they will have a much better and more in depth review on the headphones not made for gaming specifically

@@montazownianr1 Nova 1 you can get under $100 and the quality is competitive with headsets double the cost. Nova 7 has so many Sonar features, under $200, and the only thing missing between that and the Nova Pro is the wireless charging and 2 soun drivers. Nova pro is $350.
I have the artic nova pro after yesterday and it so good the bass is also good after sonar eq and the mic in mindblowing with sonar big 10

Many years later my Sennheiser X320's still sound great, feel very comfortable and doesnt make your ears feel like their in a oven! :)
The steelseries nova headsets are good and I just picked up my nova 7's. But one thing I've noticed and we are now 4 in my friend group who has wireless steelseries headsets Is that the mics are always very crackly especially if someone shouts. Just something to keep in mind for future users

I recently bought the Arctis Nova Pro. Spent big bucks on it. Wouldn't recommend it for comfort. Especially if you wear glasses. Look up reviews and you will see why. Everything else about it is amazing. So far the most comforting earsets I've put on are the HyperX. Though their mic is trash and lasts only 1-2 years (in my personal experience) Hopefully this helps others. Thank you for the video.

Some openback headphones that I can definitely recommend for gaming are the Drop x Sennheiser HD 58X, they are constantly on sale and are super high quality. I've been using them for about 3 months and they are just perfect for me. Incredibly immersive for story driven FPS games and also perform well in a competetive environment as well.
I picked them up and running them off my motherboard they distort pretty bad after about 70% volume. Not sure if defective or what.
@@myboostedtsi I am using them with a separate DAC+AMP and they get very loud with no distortion. It's most likely your motherboard audio.

Yea the original battery swap steelseries headset was never dethroned as the best ever gaming headset until they came out with a new model, and likewise with this refresh. I doubt anyone will ever create a better product, until steelseries refreshes it again, these are going to be the best wireless gaming headset. My only vice with these is that the battery is almost always on 1-2 battery life, charge still last for hours, but it feels really bad that your battery always appears to be almost empty at all times.

Honestly the best gaming headset is just a standard studio headphone with a USB mic. Not joking either I had a Samson sr850 for 35 dollars and it sounds better than my old arctis pro from steelseries for like 250
Now I use a beyerdynamic dt 770 and for 125 it's the best headphones I've ever used

I'm considering to upgrade and I don't know if it's worth the price as I understood that the audio is better on the previous gen
I had the previous generation and just got the new one.
Pros that I noticed so far:
The headset now turns on by itself when swapping batteries. Saves you a click and feels faster, very little loss of audio time while swapping in-game.
Before, if you had bluetooth on but wireless off, to turn on wireless you'd have to switch off the headset completely. Now you don't need to disable bluetooth while switching on wireless.
White noise almost gone. Wasn't a major inconvenience for me but it's quite noticeable.
Materials feel more premium. My white arctis pros were looking yellowish after 3 years, I doubt this visual degradation will be the same in these ones as it's mostly metal on the outside.
Cons:
For some reason the reach of these headphones is smaller than previous gen. I could go to the toilet without any loss of sound from my studio, now it starts breaking off much earlier.
These pads will make me sweat like crazy come summer.
Im not sure how durable the headband can be. I had to replace my old gen band twice due to it losing elasticity, which made it uncomfortable for my ears. However, before replacing it, I could simply tighten it up a bit more. This one has a limit of tightening, so if the elastic stretches, I will need a new one right away.

my issue with steel series isnt the sound. its the velcro head band. when you set it down the velcro will come undone and you have to reset it every time your put them on.
