I was in Japan last month as an exchange student in Akita. I think it would be interesting if you have the chance to go also to that area (Akita, Aomori, Sendai etc) cause there's not yet a lot of travel content on those areas and I personally think they are really beautiful, especially the landscape. It is not easy to travel there with public transportation so I often went with friends who could drive and we rented a car. But despite that it was definitely worth to see 👍🏻

Hey don't knock those old videos. I love seeing the stuff in the Pokemon centers, the cafes, shrines, shopping. When the place you live has nothing like that, experiencing that (even vicariously) is awesome.

I am glad to see you moving forward with your life. And no joke watching your videos (even the ones you now regret) has helped keep me sane recently. I would go through stretches where I would watch your videos on Japan travel and just add more to my bucket list. Your excitement in those videos excited me about the possibilities of places to go and see. I really thank you for that. As I'm Japanese, I am a huge fan of Shiba inu (黒柴) and I had owned one dog same coloured like Hina.
She is such a sweet girl and your dog's bow ties are so adorable.
I have no doubt about finding a good sewing person (Japanese are good at all detail things) for your new business.

There are so many places you can take your dog like a Cafe, shopping mall, hiking, camping and spending time together in Nature.

Congrats on the move! As long as it's what you want to do to be happy, which appears to be so, then do it. I wouldn't be so hard on your younger self, you were only doing what you thought was right and didn't have the life experience and knowledge that you have now. I came to some similar realizations about myself during the last two years and am now making plans for a move, not to Japan but away from where I'm at currently. It'll be interesting to see what your impressions about life in Japan now are like - hopefully visits to USJ are still part of them.

With any luck, the last I heard there would be 85% chance for free travel from the US to Japan by December, I hope to get back there early next year.

I have been watching your videos for almost a year now as I was obsessed with your guide videos for japan!! My best friend and I were planning on going at the end of this year but because of the borders we, unfortunately, could not go. But are now planning around it and looking at maybe going next year for the cherry blossoms! But I am so inspired by your story, it's really great to hear that you are doing better and you are well and happier! It’s interesting that I used to watch your videos a lot before pandemic since I was planning to visit Japan then stopped cause I put the travel plan aside for a bit. Recently the travel restrictions lifted and I start watching Japan travel videos again and I happen to came across your videos under my home page then I realize you haven’t updated new videos for a long time. I’m happy to see that you’re back to this channel and will update more videos. And I admire your courage for moving to Japan for a year with your loved one and do what makes you two happy. Not everyone has the courage to do that. And I wish you all the best. Looking forward to more Japan related videos.
