Hello Sr. Could you please help me and show me if is there is more screws beside the four at from? I removed the four screws at from but it will not com out as easy as in your video. It is there something else holding it in place? My GE refrigerator is the GSL25JGDB LS. Thanks you in advance for you help. Thanks
When would you need to replace that shaft with spring that holds flapper? I saw they sold entire assembly but it seems just replacing the flapper should be enough. I see they sell just flapper, but I don't want to replace it and find I then need spring assembly. I already replaced the solenoid that closes it.
Hello: I just replaced my flapper and did everything in the video but the lights don't come on on the control panel and the water and ice dispenser don't work. I triple checked the connections to the panel and they are all secure. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Apologies for the late reply, I have been away from this account for some time - to your question, assuming your replacement panel is an in-kind part and is a working part itself (ie. not itself defective, which can happen even for new parts), then it is possible there are issues with the internal wiring that connects to or from the circuit and/or there is a short happening. In effect, here might be more happening here to fix versus just replacing the panel. I am afraid this is where a professional needs to be called in... wish what you did was able to solve your fridge issue!
Let me just say I have bought 3 of these and it didn't work. 2 were after market and warped and the last one was GE and it was also letting in the light and frosting my freezer. I have also replaced spring, solenoids, the bar the flap hangs from. I give up.
Excellent video..Extremely helpful! Thank you very much
Gracias por el video ,aprendi como cambiar el flapper sin romper nada , gracias mil
