Can you make a video showing symptoms of it going out please
Remote start won't work is one
Any check engine code will disable the factory remote start
Could the vehicle shift hard?
lalolalito91 I heard this will fix hard shifts, I’m having hard shifting from 1st to 2nd I’m going to order the sensor and hope it fixes it, my tranny is freshly rebuilt
Mine has a hard shift into first gear and remote start wont work
Can you send a link for the part
What was the reason for changing that scensor ?
$1000 question
So basically you drive a vehicle and you're at a stop light. The vehicle will sometimes not accelerate anymore. That's what a faulty tps sensor does. You go into limp mode. You will have a check engine light and you cannot accelerate.
First to second gear would have a hard or delayed shift
oh my fucking god where is the fucking volume
Anyone having throttle issues on a newer GMC/Silverado (2014-2019) pick up? I’m thinking I need to replace my TPS as well :/
Jeremy M - any update with your truck? My 2015 Silverado 1500 just started acting up, with engine light blinking, then steady on, StabiliTrak light intermittent and engine shaking / bucking - taking to shop tomorrow for diagnostic.
@@cwmson8381 turned out to be the torque converter that went out. I had to replace mine along with the transmission since it went out. Appears to be a common issue on the 6L80 transmissions. I had 110K miles on it at the time. If you’re getting a random misfire code then it could be the fuel injectors. I had replaced all 8 as well. I didnt have any issues after I swapped the transmission and torque converter though which got me to 128k mikes before I ended up trading in for a ‘21 Yukon Denali. Fingers crossed no issues with this one.
@@utrocker7 Wow, sorry you went through all that - thank you for the information and good luck with the new ride.
@@cwmson8381 thanks. Good luck to you figuring out your issues. Hopefully it’s not the Torque converter because you have to drop the transmission to replace that part alone. Labor was more than the parts.
@@utrocker7 Had misfire a on one cylinder (Code P0300) - local shop changed all the plugs and the one coil at the misfire - been running fine and without trouble lights on the dash (mileage 48K, so I guess plugs made sense). Thought it was going to be electrical / computer due to other recent problem with blown fuse and dash messages, which was probably due to using portable compressor too long. Also had Codes U0401-71 (Invalid data received from ECM), which may have been old, so they cleared them, and we'll see if they come back. Anyway - thanks for the replies.
what about the relearn tbs
Google Chevy truck idle relearn and rockauto had a PDF you can follow
Thanks Tyler H
I didnt need to do that just install the new throttle body and start the vehicle. No relearning process for me.
It doesn't work I have replace this
was wondering where you got this for $30
O'Reilly's Auto Parts
Oreillys
What year vehicle is this?
can I just clean the sensor? I have a Dodge Dart, not the whole throttle body but just the sensor
You can try, but you will probably end up having to replace the entire sensor.

Rat hay va bo ich ,xin cam on.
No Volt Meter?
So I’ve done everything shown in the video to replace it but engine light came back on for the same reason the tps sensor.do I have to reset any codes or give it time to relearn something? Please let me know any suggestions
Go to oreillys and erase code it's free to use their scanner and you will be good to go
Thanks
Wouldn't it be easier to take off the throttle body and replace it
Jesus Guerrero the 4.3 requires the whole replacement of the throttle body. 5.7 you can just replace the TPS since it’s external.
Thank you this must be a common issue on the 08 chevy tahoes ect
i know this might be a different topic but doesn't anyone's 08 escalade have
engine hot
a/c off
engine overheated idle engine
and then the temperature gauge flickers
also stabilitrak off comes on & engine power reduced & it starts to shake if at a red light, sometimes on the freeway
much thanks in advance everyone
Question where can I get one?
I ordered mine from rockauto.com but you can try amazon also.
shop.... I bought a new throttle body that came with sensor attached. It was cheaper than sensor by itself. 4 10mm bolt/nuts, gasket that came with it, very easy. Easier than changing just the sensor. All new gears in throttle body. Already timed. SHOP
