No, it doesn't have a full mahogany body. The older ones, 2002 -2018 had laminated maple bodies (top, back and sides.) The ones made after 2018, have a linden (basswood) laminated body. You can query the Wiki on this guitar and see the full specifications of it. Also, if you'd like to hear what this guitar can sound like in a traditional jazz context, listen to this song. This is a one man band thing, where I used the AG75 for the lead guitar track (the very first half of the song.) This guitar can have a very "warm" and almost thick kind of sound. Of course it's a traditional jazz box, so that should be expected. By the way, thanks for the review, Huey. It's interesting, and positive. ua-cam.com/video/aMiyZLon3qU/v-deo.html
Nice honest review. I'm considering this model as I'm incorporating jazz and classical in with my normal blues rock as well. Ibanez builds great guitars for sure. Thanks man, Dave in the Adirondacks
Smithjgwhs3 at the time of this video I had 9 guitars and my favorites we're my hellraiser, my h-1007 and my.9 string, I can't even rember who made it. This was.an awesome guitar but seeing i play in high gain situations I got alot of feedback. After some setup it played awesome and sounded great even with stock pups but it got sold for an acoustic and 5 string bass.
That’s a great guitar…ive head it too…..i regret that i shel it…..and now at this very moment bought one back on marketplace in holland….i’m very lucky and happy to have it back…..thnx for yuor fantastic review…..don’t sell it ,heuuuu…play on and grts Peter Disco…Amsterdam🎸🍀👍
I hate the fact that it's made in China but guitars made in the United States of America are so ridiculously priced you have to have a net income of 100,000 a year just to afford one
I have a 2005 AG75 BS. I had the same concerns about the 'Made in China' aspect. I've always heard Indonesia is a better quality manufacturer. However, the specs for the AG75 actually went way down two years after the manufacturing moved to Indonesia. Body: Material: 2002-2018: Maple (laminated) 2019-2022: Linden (laminated)
Well everyone it was a great guitar but I was wanting something new. Something exotic that would take me out of my comfort zone and allow me to create so many different sounds. I sold the Ibanez and it held its value I got 66% of what I originally bought it and that's pretty good seeing the most usually given is 60 percent. I then purchased the Agile 9 string I did I review of.
According to all I've read, the only thing that is mahogany is the neck. The body parts are all maple. I just bought one yesterday, used, and I like it so far. But yeah- the floating bridge is a bit of a pain when changing strings. I've seen tape used to mark it's position prior to taking the strings off, so you don't have to guess where it goes and then maybe have to re-intonate. Considering the nice craftsmanship, all the binding, abalone fretboard inlays, etc., i'd say it's quite a good bang for the buck! The Chinese are getting better and better at making instruments, it seems. ,,
Cool beanz man, I was wondering if you were using some weird phase shifter until I saw the ceiling fan's reflection. I'm looking at a used one and found your review helpful, thank you.
lektrikbass I wasn't the best player but I learned alot about how they should be built and setting them up. Also the Electronics. If I could split a pup or reverse phase it if I remember correctly I would do it myself. Been away from guitars for 4 years but moving this weekend to Atlanta to a place 2.5 times the size of my current place so I'm gonna get a good.metal 2x12 100 watt combo and a few guitars again.
Well the neck is mahogany the body of the guitar is maple maple is usually better when used thin like a maple fingerboard and yes I really like mine also the only problem is the 12th fret is lower and there are a few dead spots
Thanks for your review. I've heard and read that when an electric hollow body lacks a center block that feedback becomes and issue. Did you experience any feedback when you had the guitar plugged into an amp...? And/or is that why you switched to the other amp that you used in your demo...?
This looks to be a later model where they put a better emblem on the head stock. Is the front of the body of the guitar a matt finish? or is it the lighting?
With bridge like that just change the strings one at the time, and use elevens at least, theese guitars are made to be played on thicker strings, thats why this pickups have so low output.
LeBron James I dont understand when you ask "where cam I get a guitar with no sale" but as for the Ibanez yes it is worth the 400 IMO. so versatile and Ibanez guitar retain their value. when I sold this I got 360 for it
LeBron James Check out reverb.com I believe. also get on facebook amd join the guitar groups. there are always amazing guitars on Salem. im in like 25 orn39 guitar groups alone. In onto RC now and I'm in about 50 of them. that's where you'll find some of the best deals
like any hollow body or semi hollow there will be feedback. yes it is good for distortion, I even played metal on it while I had it, the stock pickups were very nice but remember any high output with any type of hollowed guitar, the guitar will have feedback issues unless you stuff it with foam.

That guitar already has a nice bluesy pickup in the bridge.
And the neck. The guitar was built for jazz, fusion, and blues.

Good presentation. I just bought one
Very beautiful instrument . Got one myself. My 2nd favorite of the collection I have perhaps .

I'm thinking of getting one soon, do medium jumbo or jumbo frets cause notes to go sharp if you press too hard.

Power Evolution RC how much did it sell for
Lynyrd Skynyrd rules! Good review, simple man!

“ Uuuuhhhhhhh!”
Thanks for your review.
Good-looking guitar and has a good sound. I have intended to buy that kind of similar, if I'm able to save up the guitar and case.
More POWER!
8:37 sweet twinkly sparkly sounds -

Too is acoustic, only electric ?

BigRed56 Yes there will be feedback but you can add some foam 8n the sound holes to kill it

LucasZembrzuski 10 guage are fine
Is it the acoustic volume sufficiently loud to sing on top? Thank you
- It's a mapple body, Randall ! :)
Hi! What's the song at 8:37?
is this worth the 400$, where could i get a geetar thats no sale?
LeBron James I dont understand when you ask "where cam I get a guitar with no sale" but as for the Ibanez yes it is worth the 400 IMO. so versatile and Ibanez guitar retain their value. when I sold this I got 360 for it

LeBron James pawn shops also. but never pay what they're asking. haggle/negotiate to get the price down.
So is this guitar good for distortion or not?
like any hollow body or semi hollow there will be feedback. yes it is good for distortion, I even played metal on it while I had it, the stock pickups were very nice but remember any high output with any type of hollowed guitar, the guitar will have feedback issues unless you stuff it with foam.
Can I make percussion on this?
Mochi -liando I don't see why not, it's a hollowbody, not semi hollow
What string gauge r u using?
Resa Adilaksana power slinkies. 10-56 I believe
your guitar does not have mahogany front back and sides but instead is of maple.
Tbis was early on in my UA-cam journey and I had some freudian slips tbis being one of them. The neck is mahogany. Thanks for the correction
better collect stamps !!!!
Don't quit your day job!!! Don't spend any more $$$ on guitars.
Wow very bad review.
