Okay, this is gorgeous, but there are some safety problems here. Always wear safety glasses, and yeah, a mask, but, you need to dampen that glass you are working on to a) keep the glass cool and prevent cracking and b) to keep the glass dust particles out of the air. It is incredibly dangerous to breath any glass dust, I highly recommend watching some glass safety videos.
Thank you for your input! This was my first time trying this
This is very creative, I wonder how this would turn out if you were to:
Remove the paper and stuff to get to the glass
1. engrave the backside of the mirror
2. box frame the back
3. line the back with LED light strips
4. flip it over and see the color changing lights shine through the mirror
it actually turns out amazing. i saw somebody do this on a dremel art group on facebook a while back and decided to do a picture of my grandpa and his dog with his last name and my brother made a wood box with an led strip inside and put backing on it. turned out way better than i expected.
Love it! The finished result is great
Came from the weird art group
I was watching this as a tattooist and thought it was a bit like tattooing, then when you said it 🤣
Samesies! Lol.
Dry erase marker , what a great idea to get the pattern on.
Well done for 1st mirror job looks amazing
Which tips are the best size I mean
Did you have to prep the mirror with anything first? And did you have to seal it after?
Really Awesome!!! Thanks so much!!!❤
Where to see drill tips used, please?
Great job, but I have my questions on that, how you draw the flowers? Do you use carbon paper?
Do you know how to shade with the machine ? If so can you show in debt detail plz
How do you deal with the ‘grain’ of the glass?
It gets LOUD around 5:00 in, just in case this helps anyone
That is absolutely gorgeous. Great job. Question...how did you get the background color on it ?? It just kind of "appeared" on there at the end of the video :)
Wait...or is that just a reflection of a backdrop behind you ?
Yeah it's a reflection! I hung a sheet so it was easier to see the design haha
What glass cleaner do you recommend?
What drill bit did you use?
What nib did you use? I’ve been engraving metal and I tend to lean to the pointier nibs but I didn’t know if it would crack the glass, if that makes sense lmao
I've been trying to do this for about a year now and I just cannot keep my hand that steady. I kinda wonder if It's the tool I'm using.

This is what I use!
@@BrokeGirlsArtSchool thank you
Where is the description box?
Good work Mam
its a great job i love it but i think not only mask u must wear glasses care about ur eyes too
Good point! Thank you!
Why don't people do this on the backside and not the front. That way you can etch and paint it and unlike the fro t it doesn't hurt anything when you clean it. Cleaning etch stuff on the from of a mirror is troublesome. Do it on the back and you never have to clean it cause it's on the back. Try.it one time. You'll love it. I do all my mirrors on the back. Just dremel off the paint on the back. Then you have.clean glass. Then etch with cream then leave it like it is or paint it. Then the from remains smooth cause you did nothing on the front. Try it.please
How do you take the mirror glass out to do that? And what do you mean the etching stuff? I didn't know you could paint it.
Do u know how to transfer the same image on to another mirror without doing it all over again, i drew something on a mirror and I traced it on plastic now I’m trying to find a way to light Box it on two more mirrors
I just watched a video where they guy just used tracing paper and traced the design onto the mirror.
Great job how did you get the pattern on the mirror
I just drew it on with a dry erase
Hoe die you get the picture in the mirror before engraving it?
Were your hands okay? Did you get little shards in your fingers?
Nope! But now that you mention it gloves might be a good idea lol
How did you get to draw the flowers in the mirror. How did it get there
I just used dry erase marker!
Is that a diamond tip that you started with or can you use any ordinary tip?
It was a round tip!
@@BrokeGirlsArtSchool Hi, thanks for answering. There are some tips that are diamond covered. They are specifically for hard objects and I was wondering if it was the diamond covered ball tip or the ordinary ball tip you were using.
What brand dremel do you use? I need a better one.
I tagged a link in the description box :)

WHAT??? OUT OF LINE!?!?
You should be wearing safety glasses as well. You don't want those little shards of glass in your eyes either. Your video is awesome but as a dad of 3 girls and having done glass etching I'm totally freaking at you not wearing safety glasses. (said with love) :)
I'm arsilan
Hlo
Where’s the goggles!?! Protect your eyes from the micro glass dust please.
