The cheers from the audience is just everything, which can only be heard in a live recording like this. They decided to release this as an EP in proper audio quality seeing the demand from the audience. And just like that, Mariah got her 6th no. 1.
“Proper”? undubbed was the proper way of a real raw LIVE Performance. Nobody expected it to be perfect (well not me)… and one thing is regulate the volume and the mix of instruments, but not fixing vocal imperfections (Trey Lorenz vocals were all over the place and Mariah was flat here and there). I couldn’t care less becauae this is JUST believable… dubbed was simply super human!!!
@@McFred1065 Lmao you sounded desperate to hate lolololol. It’s crazy how y’all coming into Mariah’s videos just to hate lowkey 😂 Flat? Mariah literally DESTROYED THOSE F5’s while sitting in front of the children singing this song out of nowhere with a smile in her face 🤦♀️
@@jeonjungkookie1209 you got me all wrong from 1 single comment… after 31 yrs, I still love Mariah the singer and the person… too perfect, a little narcissistic that’s who Mimi was… who’s going to show her NOBODY and not even her was a perfect singer? Amazing singer? HELL YEAH! that’s it! Would she tell dubbing was a natural process to improve things? Will she blame it on Mottola? Wouldn’t be fair… so to each their own!
@@jeonjungkookie1209 one more thing… WF children are u talking about? That wasnt unplugged (1992) but a pre recorded (and for sure dubbed) session for Camp Mariah in 1993… Flawless = Dubbed!
@@McFred1065 Lmao so you came here as a hater cause you don’t know sh*t. That 10 seconds RARE CLIP FOOTAGE of Mariah hitting the effortless and supported F5’s of I’ll be there better than the dubbed ones from MTV UNPLUGGED is RAW VOCALS tf u talking about? It was recorded by Entertainment tonight! Not a performance nor something released by mariah but a random singing session with the kids in december of 1992 idiot.
And people like to act like her voice became girly and "over-brightened" during Daydream. Her tone here is so light, youthful and almost childlike. Just astounding; I prefer this over the dubbed version.
Thing is, dubbed IMHO shouldn’t be used to correct ALL the vocals imperfections!!! If they were flat here and there it is precisely because they are humans singing
I can see why they dubbed it though. Her higher belts sounded terrible for the most part, honestly. The F5s were awful with only one or two sounding good. She just had this weird bizarre placement for belts sometimes and that weird placement was definately present here. 😅 The lower parts sounded beautiful but the belts sounded icky.
Holy shee... Mariah's vocals live is just pure heaven.
she was just 22 or 23 yrs old then
At the beginning of the song Mariah started singing with a calmly voice, like she’s singing a lullaby to a baby! Lovely 😊

Love all of this, especially the harpsichord and getting to hear the backing vocalists better
The real fans always come here. No doubt she has the best voice one earth ❤
The intro piano is incredible.
Only live Mariah can outsing studio Mariah, impressive
Listening to this for the first time ever, so beautiful, so is the dubbed version, but this definitely could've been released instead, loved it.
The song birds supreme 👍👍👍❤❤❤
What the hell? This is insanely better than the dubbed version. They should've just stuck with this version.
Oh it's because Trey went flat on his descending run. Damn. That's a big shame. The undubbed version is so much better on Mariah's part
Heavenly
I love that Keyboard that plays throughout the song, it sounds like a Beatles/British influence. @3:35
It’s a harpsichord
How on earth did you get these?! I can't believe my ears! gorgeous!
Mariah let me in the vault x
The hack in Sony records… a few years ago.

Divine voice!
Post more rarities!
someone needs to mix this audio together with the video plis
Love It!
This sounds less raspy and more high . Second take or some ??
Was wondering the same??
The original undubbed vid was lowered a bit so that’s why it sounded flat sometimes
This vid is the correct key
Thanks anyway
Kelly price upload this Videos 😂
🤣🤣🤣
mariah sounds good though
Trey's part sounds exactly the same exept the falsetto
4:41 pan pan nam nam; nice
I don't think this was supposed to be here, so they were probably unprepared, especially Trey on the high falsetto
She was originally going to sing Vanishing.
@@andilamont oh yeah, that would make sense

wait did she get flat on all the F5s in "yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah"?
No
Not flat, but slightly unsecured, the whole voca is dry and laboured.
No flat at all. Pushed and not-so-great technique? Definately. She was always inconsistent when it comes to high belts. 😅
Singing wise there isn’t much of a difference at all from dubbed to undubbed
