Wow!! That one turned out really nice. I had one in electric blue as a kid. Although one of the door stoppers had broken of so that the door couldn’t close properly. I agree that the MBX of the 70s (as well as 80s and early 90s) had some great details stamped into the body and with working suspension and opening features and let’s not forget the metal base either
Great little casting this one, the gold version was a childhood favourite. Like you, I rescued one out of a 50p charity shop tub with the doors forced in, and gave it a new lease of life.
the red looks proper. love the wheels, too. great custom! :D I have seen doors pushed in like that before. I guess it takes strong fingers, and pushing against the spring to give the doorstops that little leeway needed. a broken A-pillar or two helps with that for sure. I've seen it more often on old and worn SIKU, as the doorstop there looks merely like a leftover casting line. :P
you should have replaced the windows with a clear version, and painted the car with an airbrush… paint cans just deposit too much paint. other than that it looks great.
Fantastic. Those Creative 164 wheels are magic.
Always love the Matchbox detail in their models. Good job Lad.
Love the red color choice for the Porsche 928 from Matchbox, looks ready to go on the road, good job with this one.
Thanks to your videos you have inspired me to start restoring cars like you
Brilliant! Best of luck with it

Nice tomatoes 🍅 red colour with the orange sun glass , strange why they had different shades of glass to models .
