I’m shocked that no one is complaining about the microphone quality of the AirPods 3 and AirPods Pros… AirPods 2 are the only ones that have an only acceptable microphone.
i’ve been using my first gen airpods since the day they released, the right one legit lasts 10 minutes before dying and the left ones hella quiet so i can’t wait till these drop
Why not just remove the tip? They still sit in your ear pretty much the same way normal AirPods do if you pop them off. I prefer them with the rubber tip, actually more comfortable for me

I bought Airpods pro 2 because I wanted some ear buds with ANC but I found that if I used them for more than an hour my ears would hurt, so I returned them after having them for 4 days which sucked because they had way better features than the airpods 3 like the speaker at the bottom of the case and the fact that you could always see the battery percentage on the phone even if the lid was closed. Hope they don’t put silicone ear tips on the airpods 4.

If they do go with a tip I'll just have to buy another set of 3s, I've been holding out for a new release since the dog ate one of my current set!
Love ANC. I wear them when cutting the grass and I can barely hear the lawn mower. Should be a nice addition to anyone getting new AirPods if any of this is true.
None of those features interest me. Apple is just trying to justify continued premium pricing but the value from a consumer perspective just isn’t there.
I have to disagree on the ANC. I originally owned a pair of AirPods Pro and had to stop using them since the rubber tips cause an allergic reaction inside my ears. And my wife had the same issue. Leaving the AirPods without the rubber tips was actually a selling point for me since I cannot use them. If they have ANC they should be Pros not regular
I can understand an issue with the rubber tips if it’s an allergy problem, but what I don’t understand is why don’t you just pop the rubber tips off? You can still use them. You can even buy third party tips made of foam or other materials.
if the new AirPods lacks rubber ear tips, then it defeats the purpose of having ANC as there will be no seal within the ears to cancel out background sound. active Noise Cancellation can only be effective in tandem with passive noise isolation. the current AirPods lacks any passive noise isolation and lets in virtually all background sound, just like having transparency mode on all the time. so I don’t really understand how active noise cancellation could be a useful feature without rubber ear tips. That’s why something doesn’t add up about this leak. They will either bring rubber eartips to the AirPods or the ANC feature will not be a thing. as this leak stands, it also doesn’t make sense as it would seem that the new AirPods would completely cannibalise the more expensive AirPods Pro which wouldn’t make much business sense to Apple

it will cancel out transport noises and other noises which is very very loud.it's basically like a highbread of anc and transparency. where you will get the benefits of both worlds No
great experience for me. it dynamically adjusts the noise cancellation while keeping voices as clear as possible. it's useful in a bus or when riding a bike. when i get off, i don't have to switch it back and forth, it all just works by itself
The best feature is the better battery life and the faster charging. It sucks when I use AirPods with my laptop connected to bluetooth and it runs out of battery halfway through a stream, or in the middle of a league game. The sound quality and bass boost update is amazing for when you want to listen to ASMR, certain types of dubstep, hardstyle, electronic - it definitely can get the immersion going.
Oh no... please no rubber tips on the Airpods 4! The lack of the rubber tips is what makes the regular Airpods so comfortable that you can wear them all day, so it would be a major bummer if they added rubber tips.
having iPhones for more than 10y now and every year i was thinking about getting some AirPods (Pro). but if i compare the existing Models and the new ones, my soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC which ive bought for less than 80€, are as good when not even better than these ones they work very well for me and dont think i will get some AirPods this year again
