    Good point on stressing to look one last time before leaving a campsite as to not leave any litter or equipment behind. I learned that lesson while hiking the AT. I left a tent pole behind and had to walk back 8 miles to my previous campsite to retrieve it.

    Nice video, Brother !!!
    Had a sudden idea come to mind when you showed that scan code, that would help with tracking people if they don't make certain points "on schedule", so-to-speak.
    People can "check in" digitally, with those scan codes, or selfies, at those points, and send them to a specific web site.
    This way, if ppl get lost or injured, rescuers have a "last known point" to start from.
    Just a suggestion.
    Keep up the great work.

    What do you use as your trekking poles. I usually do KY. TENN, NC when I hike the Appalachian trail. Never been up in the Nothern part. Looks fantastic.

      They work great. I could of also used the Sawyer squeeze but these expire in a month so gotta use um. I always have some in my pack and kits. I am 50/50 on bringing the alky as can use wood. It's just really nice for a fast meal. Thanks for watching!

    awesome video as always, keep putting out great videos...I love how quick and easy that hammock seams to unroll and re-store, what is the name of it again, I remember you reviewing it in a previous video but forgot the name, also, what is the stove that you were using......you've already caused me to get a biolite stove which I absolutely love.

    "Liked" the video. I still see you use the "Swiss Army Knife" type knives so I want to see your take on the "Champ" version.
    I have been using SAKs for 46 years (since I was 10) and I usually get a version of an older "Officer" version, it was once their top version, and my current one is over 20 years old and the file/saw is high carbon steel that can rust if you don't clean it properly. I can get sparks when I strike sparks on the back of it with a chip of quartz stone. Same with the back of the wood saw. I still have it, I don't think they make it any more.
    I have a Mora light my fire knife, a machete, and a choice of hatchets and I live in a sub-tropical region. In reserve, I have a hand operated reciprocating chain saw for the bigger stuff, only 112 grams.
    I recently bought a "Champ" so your opinion would be good if you could check it out, or comment on the specs in general. Thanks.

      @MegaWoodswalker  6 років тому

      I have always wanted one of those really big champs but never got it. The LMF is really nice as the SS is rust resistant. Thanks for watching!
