Thanks for the video ! Quick question, when you leave the car and unplug the phone then come back to your car, do you have to do the whole set up process again to connect to CarPlay ? Or do you just plug in the USB and it auto connects ? Thanks !
I got an Samsung S10. Just picker up my GR86 from the Dealership and when connecting it always give the message "Android Car is not available while driving"...
Yes, you should be able to stream audio when connected over bluetooth. Some people have mentioned certain apps won't play but you could always connect over CarPlay or Android Auto to stream it instead
Only thing I can think of trying that works for other brands.. on the right steering wheel pad there's the voice command prompt. When your phone is connected try doing a longer press and hold. So like 3 - 5 seconds.. which usually triggers Siri/Google Assistant
@@CarsWithSteve I chose the premium trim at the end, mainly because of the grippier tires and 18 inch wheels. It's also very convenient to have heated seats :)
Thanks!! It is the most extensive and detailed tutorial on youtube about the multimedia section of gr86!
You're welcome! Have you already picked one up or in the market for one?
Was about to say the same thing!

For apple car play the cable has to be connected the whole time?
Unfortunately it does need to stay connected
Hi ! Very usefull video thank you ! Can you confirm to me there is no "GPS" if we do not use a smartphone please ?
Thanks Alex! There's no factory navigation option in the GR86 yet

You're welcome! When you plug back in you should only have to re-select CarPlay or Android Auto and it'll launch right back into the app
Great video!
Thanks Robert!

Is it giving you that message when you're connected over bluetooth or when connected to Android Auto?
Can you play music via Bluetooth from phone?

Is it possible to say that you want to drive to a certain destination via voice command when you have your phone connected? On google maps for example

@@CarsWithSteve I will definitely try this when my gr86 arrives, thanks!
You're welcome! Which trim did you end up going with?

Good call! Enjoy the ride!
but how to put carplay with the new Iphone charger
You'd have to get one of the older cables that's lightning to USB-A - bit annoying but there's no choice because the GR86 doesn't have USB-C
It's called an infotainment screen.
You mean the infotainment screen that displays different kinds of multi media.. almost like some kind of... media screen?
@@CarsWithSteve get him Steve!
