thnx for the video. I am Egyptian and I am fluent in English. I thought about being a translator but I was not encouraged enough. however, I am now😃. Thank you again for sharing😍
Hi Mona , did you start your translation business or not yet? if yes, how is it going? is it recommended to give it a try or save time and effort looking for translation jobs instead? I am fluent in 3 languages and I feel that this job is so easy for me. any feedback from you will be nice and helpful. Thanks
Media Reviews i am a professional translator and please it is a real job! You need to go to school to learn the techniques. Being fluent in languages doesn't mean you're good translator.
Hi, I'm Egyptian, I learn Russian and English and at first I felt like you're speaking for myself 😂 Thanks so much for encouraging me ,this video really gave me a push.
I'm an Egyptian too . I learn languages . I have learnt English and going on with Spanish still a beginner . And I think I'm to going to learn Russian after I learn Spanish .
thank you very much. I am very antisocial person and was worried that becoming a translator requeres very good person skills. I now know that I need to market myself more as well.
Hi! I work in the world of health since 1999 and before I studied a degree of podiatrist and other courses about health. I'm thinking about to become a medical translator. I've read a lot about health in Spanish, French and English. Now I'm studying a lot English and I'm going to improve my Spanish reading a lot too. Thanks for your video! I'm not sure if I could or not to become a medical translator but after seeing your video I think that if I work hard I will be able to translate medical text from English to Spanish. Thanks!
I don't believe you can only translate into your native tongue. My professor who has a doctorate in translation, is from Bosnia and translates between Spanish and English. even though neither are her native language.
hi im from iran so i know farsi and i am also super fluent in english and am currently learning german and chinse! your story is like mine and i really hope to become like you!
Thank you for the info. I'm considering a career in translation and I am currently working on it. I think it would suit me at least for some years of my life, as some source of income I could easily come back to or alternate with other projects. In other words, I feel it's a career that can allow me some flexibility and to travel, as you said.
Hello. The language you translate INTO is in fact your TARGET language. In general, it is your native language. The language(s) you translate FROM is(are) your SOURCE language(s).
Thanks for the video. I have a question , I would understand if there is English to Arabic (we need that). ..but Arabic to English(where did you find people needing that)?... and thanks again.
When it comes to Arabic, there is no such a thing as "Standard Modern Arabic". We have Literary Classic Arabic (the language of the Holy Coraan), it is taught at schools and universities (Read and Write). It is the official language of governments, legislative bodies and formal publications (newspapers, books etc...) The man on the street does not use classic arabic (even less at home), every arab country have their own dialect that differs from the neighbour next door but with a small share of mutual understanding. Depending on the ethnicity and history of each country, the dialect they speak has a totally different pronunciation with a considerable amount of foreign phrases and "borrowings" that do not originate from Arabic.
Thank u for this amazing video .. Translation is really big work there r a lot of things and skills that one should learn so how do you think i should start? should i divide my time among those skills or just go through them row?
I'm sort of the other side of the coin in your case, I'm Egyptian and I'm an upper intermediate english user, and I need a translation job as fast as possible. Any advice??
Error and mistake are not the same. You can perform in all fields as a translator. If you are not an expert it will take more research, but I guess that is the road to expertise isn't it?
Actually I'm the exact opposite of you Translating from English to my native language Arabic But wait ! Is there's really something in Arabic worth translating ?

If you are not qualified in a field, you can do some research in that area to become "qualified"
