- This is my photo collection for the city of Sofia. Greece and Bulgaria are neighbouring countries, friendly countries nowdays and in my opinion we must do good things among us. we are in European union, we are modern people with modern ideas. we aren't backward people like other nations. we have culture! all of us must be united for a good future in the Balkan region, a future of peace without wars and without pain.

Bulgaria and Ellas forever
I'm from London and visit Sofia very often (6-8 times per year). It looks better and better each time I go. Investment is pouring in and people are beginning to take real pride in their city. I'd say it's certainly the most up-and-coming place in Europe right now...

Don't post bad comments, boyz. Every place in the World has its beauty. Sometimes obvious and sometimes to be discovered. Even Middle East for which in the Western world often there are sour comments, has its charming. Just make note and point out something beautiful the place has to offer. Bulgaria is a beautiful country with nice people.

Hi! I am Italian and I don't want to speak about political and historicla issues! I just want to say that I consider Bulgaria as a second home land which I love so much. I go there every here, sometimes more than once in a year! I don't want to know who and why defined Bulgaria as the "toilet of Europe"...whoevere he/she is maybe needs a real toilet to wash their tongue before spaking about Bulgaria: The Land Of Roses, The Land Of Orpheus.... I love it!

You see what you should see. Sofia is not constructed for 3 million people. In the center of city is nice but in endings neighborhood the picture is different.
I am from Sofia and "...sometimes I don't want to be bad..."
I've been to Bulgaria during the past spring and it was really very depressing. Many towns like Pernik and Kyustendil are living fossils of the former commu. era. Sofia is slowly emerging toward a modern European city but i found its citizens hostile and without any manners. On the positive note, the Black Sea coastal towns of Burgas and Varna are worth the visit.

I know a nice girl from Bulgaria, but she usually complains bout how cheap it is, for example, doctors make like 1600 euros per month... In western countries they make 6000 euros usually. But can't wait till the day i go and see my girl anyway : p

@brasucasoul No Sofia is really not dangerous place .....comare with Parish or London is safer ......and you can walk even in 02h in the morning .....the streets are empty.......in the day is a bit crowdy ,and buzy but Sofia is good travel experiance .........it is just a bit poor and cheap ............ butSofia is just SOFIA......:))))

@pimpninja1985 , small parties in US have no influence watsoever. And Boyko is the best politician BG has ever had. You must be married to a communist to say anything negative about him. He is the change we need, not old commies who took BILLIONS from Bulgarian people and put them in private Swiss and Austrian banks. That is the real reason today Bulgaria is not a rich country. Because with all our resources and educated population(except the Gypsies) we should be a Switzerland on the Balkans.
According to magixent sofya may be the best one..but u should first see a real modern city to compare with sofia...You should be blind to say that sofia is a modern city...I'm not defencing the other modern cities,this is just an objective comparison between cities..ok u can say developing city about sofia but u can't say it's a modern city..coz it's not...
