No cuz im a traditional artist and km convinced the side of my hand is slowly turning green/grey permanently from the amount of graphite and charcoal it smudges

@@sundaystorms5171 Same honestly I’ve been practicing since I was 2-3 and I’m still kinda crappy :’D (Plus, I hate doing digital art. The only motivation I have is that it has more colors and no smudging.)
@@Ha-neulie ugh same. i just don’t color my drawings anymore (i’m a traditional artist). i love digital art but its such a struggle to render it right for me, i can’t never get the right shading.
@@absolutely_notttt I love doing traditional art more than digital art tbh. Doing it digitally strains my eyes too (TvT) Just… the glossy feel makes it hard for me to feel like “this is something I want to draw on” (But then another part of me goes “but I don’t want to rely on only having a paper-like screen protector in case I can’t get one”)
I love the vibrant colors especially the reds on the cheeks when the shadows meet the lights! Paper grains from mixed media, watercolour, and other similar variations, always make characters feel more alive. Including texture into works helps a lot in making things lifelike along with other elements like color and form. An overlay of paper grains is always an easy and good looking way to include texture! I love what you’ve create.
There is an overlay of paper grains used in this work. That’s why it looks just like if it was done on paper. If you enjoy doing digital art, I’d suggest giving it a try! It’s a fun addition to works and is also a good inspiration giver.
@@RedpurrFox levels and styles don’t really matter much when it comes to adding certain details to your work! You can give it a try if you’re feeling it, if not then just keep it in the back of your mind. 👍
That is so so so gorgeous 🥹 also probably weird question but how do you film your iPad so neat like that ? I’ve been doing it for years and it’s either blurry or it shows screen lines or reflections… 😩😩
looking at the hand and the pencil, i would assume that they had the lights off while filming to reduce glare/reflections. as for the blurriness, you just have to have a steady stand for the camera and focus it well before filming
There's a screen protector on it to create some friction for the pencil and remove reflections. It also makes drawing feel more natural because the screen isn't so slippery. I'd really recommend it if you don't already have one - I use Paperlike. It adds a bit of grain to the image, but you quickly stop noticing that and it's worth it for the benefits.
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I can't even believe people think that digital art is not art like, LOOK AT THIS THING, IS THIS NOT ART TO YOU?????
I need this! I mainly do traditional art, and I’m trying to get into digital, but the feel of it always messes with me. I want resistance on the brush, like paper, not flat, smooth
I think the texture is just in reference to the background and brushes used, but it sounds a bit like they could be using one of those textured screen protectors that's supposed to give the screen some grip so the pen doesn't just slide. I've heard good things about them, but all the ones I've seen seem to pull out the pixels, if that makes sense? Like it gives it the same kind of look as when you get steam on your screen and can see speckles of different colours from the pixels. Might just be the brands I've seen, though, idk
@@monkeman7371 From the sound of it it's like the ipad has a matte texture screen protector. I can tell you I get that kind of sound and rough feeling with the paperlike screen protector, but I heard really good things about a brand called Bellemond, I think I saw them on amazon and you can get one with a different level of roughness if it makes sense. I think they're a bit cheaper too, because the paperlike it's 35€ for 2 screen protectors. I like them, but they scratch easily if you draw with the lights on you might see the scratches a bit. Not sure about the Bellemond ones but I heard they're really good for texture and anti scratch. If you're talking about the texture on the drawing, you might need to look for digital paper textures and use them in your background while drawing, and the brush he uses is something with texture like the shale brush that procreate has. Here I'm guessing since idk what brushes he uses tho
The best part of digital art is that nothing smudges on your hand
actually, the undo button and zooming in is the best

Stunning
The added paper sounds while painting digitally plus the paper texture was SOOOO satisfying even knowing its not how it actually sounds 😩❤️
