A good mechanic can always hear the difference between a well maintained engine and a malfunctioning one. And budy, your engine sounds perfect! Well done!
Thank you
Hey Guys, i'm back with a new video. The Running footage will be in the Completed Hot Rod video, i have tested it and its very fast (15 kph?).
Lol as I am watching this I'm building a hot rod myself... Your's is better. Keep up the good work.
thanks
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop please make a video on how to make a LEGO pneumatic engine with the newer bigger pneumatic cillinders PLEASE I subbed too
ok
Ayyeyy
*_The HOD ROD is now fully Complete, with it's body work and Driving Footage is shown in the Video. Check it Out Below._* ua-cam.com/video/u08ScXRPJ9I/v-deo.html

U should make a lego set of this
Yes dude! love the channel! this build is also super sick!
Thanks Man, i got another LPE powered Build coming out soon. its a Porsche 911
These engines work just like a real engine! Cylinders, crank-shaft, timing-gears and more! :D
It's always very satisfying to see all the moving parts.
thanks man : )
Buy the MKII V8 Engine Kit on my Store, 2200 RPM Version! All Pre-Modified - www.greengeckoworkshop.com/
Want to see more Pneumatic vehicles? Comment Below 😄
amazing work
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop it would be cooler if it had pneumatic suspension
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop still really cool through
thank you
thank you
*_Many more Pneumatic vehicles are coming in the near Future. Check out my Pneumatic 8x8 Tatra Truck, it is Massive! -_* ua-cam.com/video/_6mQteVavfA/v-deo.html

2150: cars of the future are here, we are using black holes!
You've done it. It is zero emission and even its source of "charge" is too.
Respect
I don't hit the like-button only for the sound buddy. I hit it for your genious man.
BÄM! BÄM! BÄM!
thanks
Now make me a Legoghini
Now make it five times bigger and put it in my car
now that's a great idea...
XD
@Death Zone pneumatic engine as you can see from the hoses
Probably faster than your honda civic
the sound is even cooler
Impressive! I can't build something like this xD
thanks 👍
Very Cool
Seriously excited to see the road test
you can already watch it, it is in my V8 HOT ROD video. just look on my channel. Thanks
the enging sounds freaking awesome
The steering on this is my favourite part. Never thought to use pneumatics for that.
thank you, i wanted to keep it fully pneumatic
Wowww, the sound of you v8 engine is very nice!!! Beatitull!!
Thx voor this video!!
👍👍👍
very cool
Thanks
I Love pneumatic engines .. great design man... Good work
Thanks 👍
Cool~
That sounds sick
thank you
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop np
like a real engine i love this sound!
Idea: use a lower pressure scuba tank and a regulator for 30-40 psi so you have on-board air
Damn sounds like a classic car to me
One of the greatest models I ever seen. Only a gearbox is missing, but i think you have space for this. Amazing.
the reason it doesn't have a gearbox is because it has so much power, it would be unnecessary. it also makes it stronger as well. i have geared it down close to the wheels for more torque. thanks
I assume I'm totaly wowed :O !
Using two one way clutches as a substitute for a Limited slip differential is amazingly neat !
Hum... Do you need to modify the pneumatic switches in order to make your LPE work ?
Totaly fond of LPEs ^^
thanks, this lpe is modified. however the engine can still run without these mods, but it will run slower. watch the V8 video to see more on this engine. 😄
I would have liked to see it drive as well :U
read description please
I'm guessing it can't drive
it can perfectly well drive, watch the completed V8 hot rod video. it is in the description
It can't drive
Google's yes it can
Genius
That is awesome.!!
thank you
Extremely awesome video, congratz for such a good creation.
thank you
wow nice
Wow... Super..
thanks
superb
Thanks
I am putting this beautiful engine on a huge drag motorhome, time to shredd gears 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic!!!
thanks
You are my hero
You always make rlly cool things from lego
Thank you
love the build! I am working on a similar project, and this will help me out! :D
nice, will have a look when its done. LPE?
Thanks, and the plan is 4 xl motors
Nicee
Cool driveshaft ;)
thanks
Man,this is awesome,hope u can teach me
thanks, i do plan to do a series where i teach how to build with technic
Cool sounds great too this is awesome made a LEGO 6x6 Tatra trial truck it has a heap of power and it’s fast too keep up the good work green gecko 🙂
thanks, i am making a pneumatic tatra 8x8 at the moment. expect a chassis video of it soon.
Cool
thanks
Well done
Thanks
IT'S FANTASTIC!!!
Thanks 👍👍👍
Sound like a old Escort 😁
coooooooool
Crazy!!
thanks
Nice
thanks
Would be cool if you put a bonnet and a body to it. I am just imagining the final build and it looks sick. Hope to see it!!!
What? No test drive?! We want that beast in action.💖
if you watch the completed V8 hot rod video, i drive it in there. link in the description or on the cards
I've always wondered why most of these engines only rev up to about 2000-2200. Some cases hit about 3000, but still. Is it the lack of power from the air pressure and the extra friction associated with plastic parts?
They get to a point where the tubing carrying the air is too restricting and can keep up, other wise they would rev much higher. I am going to try out some larger tubing in the future.
Powerfully engine
Your projects are really awesome! I'm already using yours i3 engine in my project.
Have you ever thought if it's possible to build clutch that can work like real one? I created several prototypes but they were always too complicated or not tough enough
Pneumatic Vehicles do not need a clutch in the same way a real car does, it needs it so it can coast when the engine is slowing down. otherwise the drive train may break when the engine stops.
@@GreenGeckoLegoTechnicWorkshop even nicjanso says it is good to have a mechanism to do that . do you have one
Just awesome
thank you
This is very new Ilike it
thank you
hey u should make the steering into a air pump so as u steer u got more air into your tanks
Excellent work once again Green Gecko! Do you plan on bodywork for this build?
it is done now, it is white and orange
imagine an exhaust xD
Nice idea
thanks
AH finally u start on your rat rod I’ve been waiting for your tank that shoots! ( in your ripsaw vid remember?)
i have a big list of all the custom models i am going to make, it is on the list. but it is after the full pneumatic RC excavator. i remembered 😉
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop aw but u said after the rat rod
when?
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop in your comment
Wow a better drive train then an mustang. Not surprised lol
i tried to make it as strong as i could
I followed how you made your one cylinder and wanted to know how you made it run? I need to know how you can get it to start and how you get the air in?
Thanks
Wow!😮😮😮
👍
Absolutly amazing!!!! Even the music.
Who's playing???
thanks, link to the songs are in the description
howd you connect it to the chasis? I'm putting your engine model in something I'm working on (hope it can run at 75 psi btw)
I have been testing my New MK2 V8 LPE at around 100 PSI, so 75PSI should be fine. The MK2 is coming out in the next few weeks now. I think i have some extra photos or footage on the engine mounts, send me a email at greengeckoltc@gmail.com and ill get back to you. Sounds Awesome, Thanks
If only I could make one...
you can make my V8 LPE i used in this Hot Rod, i have them for sale on MOCHUB - www.mochub.com/user/107/mocs
the engine sounds like a 454 to me
Nice ! it looks a lot like the Darracq V8
ok
How do you learn to do all these stuff? Like....do you do some theoretical studies or just experiment with lego parts? And how do you organise your ideas?
I like this video
thank you, did you watch my video of the completed Hot Rod? Thanks
Is no one amazed over the sound of the compressed air lego engine? Often it just sounds like air, but this one actually has a little bit of a real engine sound to it, in my opinion.
i think it sounds great ; )
nice! subbed & liked you now. lets be friends!
thanks 😀
Who finds the sound of the engine addicting??
very...
I prefer the sound of thousands of tiny explosions per minutes. I also prefer the sound of a 3500kv brushless motor.
R/C is the best hobby out there
i am also right into the RC hobby, what rc's do you have? 😉
Traxxas slash that is almost entirely custom. scx10 II but that's mostly stock since it's such an amazing truck.
Then I have a CEN Genesis with the 7.7 nitro. And a traxxas T-Maxx 2.5 nitro
Nice, i also have a fully custom slash and scx10 ii. also a full custom e revo brushless edition and race touring car class at my local club. i am also into planes and boats, so i got a few of those too. have had over 18 other cars as well... be doing rc for over 5 years, so i got a bit of a collection of them. 😉
Still better sound than the new F1 V6s..
wow
thanks
Great to see all the details. Very complex. subbed & can't wait for bodwork.
thanks
Cool new logo
thanks man
OMG
i subs
that's what i like to hear
How about a LPE W12 or inline 6?
i will be building a inline 6 soon...
Engine's power??
more than enough for this model, if you watch the completed models video. it is shown driving in there
500 horses.
Show more of the steering an how to make it.
One idea I've been thinking of for a gearbox would essentially be a casette tape, a simple cvt. It'd be non lego, but who cares. Smaller spool on the engine side to start that grows to a larger ratio by the end. Maybe it free-wheels after running out so it doesn't screech to a halt
a lot of things can be done with lego, can you explain in more detail how it works? thanks
Its pretty simple, you have two spools connected by a ribbon, when you wind one the other unwinds. If you start with one spool empty and the other full its like first gear. As the first spool collects more ribbon it has the effect of increasing the gear ratio (or decreasing, I always say the ratios backwards). Near the end of the ribbon it'd be like top gear without ever having to change gears. But when the ribbon runs out if its physically connected to both spools the engine will stall and the wheels will lock up. It'd be good for a dragster. You can vary the thickness of the ribbon for how quickly you want the ratio to climb
nice idea, but it only has a limited range
Yea, might be good for a dragster though in a high speed contest
i think so
Do you get a problem with friction overheating if you run it too long?
Not from what i have found, the air cools the pneumatics down because it is under pressure.
How much air does it consumer per yard?
I really like the pneumatic steering,
do you also use modified cylinders for the steering?
thanks, i used one modded cylinder on the car and two on the controller
Try making a pneumatic lego boat next.!!
i have, look - ua-cam.com/video/ULVLdFH6aZo/v-deo.html it's an older video
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop that's cool
Dale like si entiendes esto
where do i buy a full sized one?
Can the plastic lego parts withstand the friction and heat which the engine produces?
Yes, the cylinders and switches have silicone oil in them so they don't get hot. thanks
Where to buy the parts? Link in the description is blocked.
intrustion for the pneumatic steering pls
If you look at the steering carefully, you can easily see how it works
Outstanding! Any chance of/plans for building instructions for the chassis?
probably not, but we will see
Find a way to set it up with co2 and control the flow and you got yourself an rc car
i did look into that, but CO2 is very cold and would damage the plastic cylinders
Hey superb work... want to take training from you... do you give training
thanks, i plan to do a Technic "Training" video series in the Future and for pneumatic engines.
