Yes, unless you were watching Saturday night TV on BBC 1 in the UK in March and April 1997, you would be hard pressed to have known anything about it! Thankfully for me that was my hey day of watching TV in my childhood, and it was just about one the best times in history to have been a kid as I was and to have done it which birthed amazing programmes like this one in particular which I became obsessed with!

Here's one "Bosch". Not only is he a 'maverick' and 'rogue cop' but he was in Special Forces, has a million dollar house, has no friends, no cop partners or debts, he's somehow completely without strings so he can do and say anything and women think he's great. Nothing has changed in cop drama in decades.
I remember watching these when they originally aired and loved them. I have the DVD. The following Saturday after the end of this series the BBC aired Jonathon Creek's first ever episode and then later Doctor Who. Crime Traveller never returned. It has a cult following and ratings wise it did well. Despite some of it's flaws I personally loved it's quirkiness and it didn't take itself too seriously. Thought Michael French and Chloe Annette did a great job. If it had a longer run I think it would have been successful and well liked.

Thank you, it sounds more like, "7 Days", now that was an interesting sci fi series. If only we could travel back to correct bad mistakes, such as falling and twisting both of my legs, I'm still in agony, and wish I could have been there to catch myself. That would have saved me time and pain.

The explanation is bogus. If one of the laws of time is that the past can't be changed that is what has happened will happen then you can't alter the future either. Such a machine wouldn't allow actual time travel. Only observation of past events. A capacity that already exists.
The writers shot themselves in the foot there didn't they? They could have made use of the fact that you can go back in time and win bets and then use the money to pay for her electronics. But last episode she said that was impossible.
Darn it. Time travel has so much potential and limited only by our imagination. This is a good series and we need more of them, even better ones - when I think about it I like exploring feeling of nostalgia in the sense that the past always seem a time more free if sometimes more dangerous, I like emotional time dramas, in fact any storytelling without it fails (time after time with Malcom McDowell and other love stories like Kate and Leopld). In this arena we are only limited by our imagination, and it's a serious limit. It's amazing how hard it is to come up with new story.

Hey, in the 90s I worked for a privately owned phone company. As an employee of the month prize I received a " cordless " phone. The phone and battery were so big and heavy it came with a " bag " that came....with a SHOULDER STRAP so it could be portable. The thing was slightly bigger than a shoe box.
I really do like this, including the original broadcast this, for I was there, is my 5th go around! It's very twee & quite cringey in parts, Sue Johnston is horribly miscast & the "Slaaade" stuff is awful; but it has a very cosy, light touch, a bit like Lovejoy with time travel.
Have to disagree about Sue Johnston. She's such a versatile actress, she could play anyone. This challenges her normal typecast as warm but intelligent, and I'm glad to see her use her talent beyond that.
Is there a compilation for 3&4?... "Disc 2,3,4" Doesn't play continuous choppy buffering. Needs fixing. Episode 1&2 compilation is Excellent. Please fix. Great show so far. Cheers.

Anyone else's maths as bad ss the movie ? In part 2 she inherited 2 million poundsand the house, remember in beginning,it was 2 million pounds and co firmed the house was hers while they broke into the house, then at the end it was she left 5 figure of debts. Mathematically thats not even 100,000, at most its 99,999.99 So paying off the debt with 2 million ( 2,000,000.00 ) she would have had almost 2 million pounds, about 100,000 shy of 2 million, and a huge house and land. So realistically she had a huge inheritance, and told the guy a porky pie - big fat lie at the end of the movie / program. And the real reason she left the job was because now she did not need to work any more because of the inheritance. You could live in luxury with 2 million back then. But with inflation maybe she use time machine to earn a modest living later on.

/wow, that's some mix of interesting sci fi shows. I'm a huge fan of red dwarf, in fact, they had a new one recently, especially being all so much older, It was funny. The other two shows, never saw those, but I can guess from Eastenders, it must have been funny.

My first time watching this. I like time travel films. Don't know any of the actors and it appears English. It does look somewhat interesting, but I like to focus on a main character; so far its Slade and I'm not wild about any of these characters. Hope I can endure this series. Title 1 was "cute". (had its moments)(ls)

Actually, there are only 16 basic story plots, basic forms. Shakespeare used them all. The rest is the dressing, details, point of the story.

It does look somewhat interesting, but I like to focus on a main character; so far its Slade and I'm not wild about any of these characters. Hope I can endure this series. Title 1 was "cute".
