Thanks for watching!
This woman is brilliant! I love her ageless vibe, her design aesthetic and how she uses every possible inch without the clutter. Best custom rv design I've ever seen. I'm truly inspired.
no doubt Love all you've done. So homey comfy Adorable
Ditto
Very amazing lady. She is adventurous. Her RV is a nice situp.
@mswandervan "Brilliant" is the right expression. Knowing what you want/need, being creative, and having skills, makes live so much better. I love sitting for lengthy periods of time thinking, measuring, and drawing when I want to change something to my needs. Then get cracking. Love my tools and creativity
Does the wood in her RVmake it too heavy?
Tiki is one of the best (if not THE) designers I’ve ever seen. The RV Manufacturers’ design engineers (OWMs) could learn soooo much from this women who just drips with intelligence.
Thank you, Bob, for introducing us to such a creative force. Very inspiring. If there was ever proof one doesn’t need to spend their life savings to live comfortably on the road, and do so in style, Tiki wins that prize. She is unique!
This is, by far, the best guest you've had on your channel. This woman and her skill set, is absolutely amazing!
I’m really impressed. I bought a small used Tab trailer that I renovated but it’s turning out to be too small for me. I’ve always wanted a used class c but worried it would be a big money pit in mechanical bills.
This is such a beautiful sensible RV build. She should consider creating and selling RV plans. She's a very talented designer.
She really is brilliant and should do this. But I suppose she wants freedom and peace, not business. :)
I was thinking the same thing . I would love to see her do like a flip an RV show :)
@@connieholle7920 I've seen some newer RVs that could really benefit from her FLIP 🙃😊
Connie - Take the advise and mack’s sone extra cash! You are truly brilliant at design both functionally and aesthetically!
God Bless you and stay safe out there !
@thomazstih5382: that is exactly my take on life since I am retired. So many people telling me (after discovering everything I do - for myself) "you should sell this or that, or make a business out of it, you could make a lot of money!" Well... my answer is always the same: "I am retired after 45 yrs. of doing what I love and getting paid for it. Now I don't work for other people anymore. It is ME-TIME!!! Whatever I do, it will be for ME, since I have the time now to do." I do not want to make a lot of money anymore, we all do 't know for how long we are going to make it (in our age, and in general), so I go with the motto >carpe diem
Tiki is hilarous."i will never settle down, i will die in the RV". Awesome.
“The cabinet doors offended me” Oh lady, you could be my long lost twin 😆. What a beautiful remodel. You wouldn’t even recognise it for the RV it used to be.
I wish Bob would do a follow up with Tiki. I’ve enjoyed so much watching when she’s interviewed. She does such a great job with organization.
Totally agree. I was hoping there would be a link for her channel.
@@kamw73agree! Bob, it’s been 4 years. Can you do a follow-up with Tiki? 😅
YES!!!
This is about the best RV I’ve seen so far. She has a real home on wheels. Most folks look like they’re struggling. Some are painful to watch. She’s really got it all together. Kudos Ms. Kiki! And Rocco! 🤗
Tiki needs to be a consultant! Her design skills are amazing! Her overall style is very cool!
p31ChicaLove Thanks Luv
p31ChicaLove I like her
I totally agree, hoping she'll be offering her services as a consultant in 2-3 years when I make my move to full time. Selfish, I know -- but I LOVE her style and practicality!!!
Exactly... Blow these hipster tiny home makers minds.
p31ChicaLove I totally want to pick her brain!
I think Tiki could have a booming business building these for people. So nice!
John Ryan Thanks John😘
Haha! Yes she could but maybe she wants to just chill and be retired. But what skills! I KNEW I loved her when she said she was most concerned about her tools. YES! My kind of friend.
@@tikilee7172 Gorgeous ! You should offer your services as a RV consultant for people that want to RV builds: )
@@tikilee7172 tiki, we are waiting for your videos.
love
I admire the amount of faith. This woman has in a RV from the 1980s. I’m glad it’s working for her.
She should have a van design business. She's genuinely talented.
This woman is a brilliant designer. Too bad she doesn’t work for an rv company.
Are you able to get to the drivers seat without going outside? I couldn't tell. I see you are not afraid but I worry someone might break into my car while living in a house. I think I would be terrified and hear every little noise, thinking I am about to be killed.
Don't get me wrong, I think solo traveling sounds great, I just can't get past the fear.
@@jayneweathersit’s easy to see at the start of the inside tour that the drivers seat is part of the living space as it swivels.
@@jdxx59 yes sorry, I missed that, thank you. Do you have a response on the fear factor?
@@jayneweathers, get a ccw, and train how to use it.
Tiki's a freaking genius! She should design RV's because the industry would really boom with her ingenuity.
As everyone said before me: Tiki is brilliant & very innovated....I want mine like hers...I’m stealing ALL her ideas & more! Thanks so much! ☮️
Holy cow Tiki is a genius. This video was amazing and I love her rig. She should seriously consider having an RV, van or tiny home design business.
I wish the USA RV manufacturers would take a look at this interior to see what can be done.
brighton dude yes. I have bought new and used campers. I liked refurbishing better because I could fix their wasted space issues. I want a class c due to the safety but I have a Sedona for now.
I think its great that she was honest about her plan to travel but ALSO that she plans to buy land and have a home base. Many people wouldnt be so honest with Bob standing there asking "Nomad" related questions.
'Went back and sold the house' YOU GO, GIRL!!
That was amazing. This lady knows her stuff. The design was very impressive. She should offer design consultations for RVs.
I rarely comment on videos, but have to say how much I enjoyed this particular tour. I have followed this channel for a long time, and I think this is without question the most beautiful RV conversion I've seen here. What struck me in particular was not just how Tiki was living on very limited Social Security, but living so //well// on it; that is a skill indeed. Tiki has loads of charisma and seems to be the perfect host for a channel for those of us in the RV lifestyle who have a budget but care about home-making and aesthetics. I think now there is a market for a "Good Housekeeping" for RV's.
- - I love it...Good House Keeping...well said and thank you.
- - She would be great for that! But unfortunately swears she will never have a channel. Did you see her rig on Two Meander? We will soon feature her “home base” 5th wheel too.
Another watch of this amazing lady and what she has done with this RV. The ideas she has given all of us! She reminds me so much of my sister in-law, that can do so many things like this. Thanks Bob for this video for us.
What a wonderful service you give to the world, Bob!
This women has it all figured out. I'm impressed.
One of the best modifications I've ever seen, rock on Tiki!
Ideas, ideas, and more ideas... how do I love thee, let me count the ways! Tiki, you should seriously consider consulting or designing or organizing or otherwise helping so many of us that aren't good at what you excel at.... so well thought out Tiki - designer, extraordinare!
This woman did a better build than any of those 'chic' builds I've seen. Her rig is amazing!
Bob has a talent for interviewing beautiful, creative women.
I sold my 34'Class C I had to move into after I lost my wonderful husband to ALS in April 2020. I lost my farm and home due to quitting work to stay home to be primary caregiver to the man I loved more than anyone in the whole wide world. I m finishing my tiny cabin and got a 4 window short skoolie to convert into a cushy vardo for my dogs and I to travel in. My cabin is my homebase. I'm 65.
She could have a second career refurbishing RVs what a fantastic remodel! Absolutely lovely 😊
Wow, this lady and her Class C are awesome. The 68 dislikes on here must be people who are jealous and wished they had Tiki's ingenuity.
You are the best designer of an RV ever. I have not seen anyone come near your common sense when putting this RV together for your home. Congrats and enjoy you're retirement!
Love all of the hidden sensible storage she found. No wasted spaces. Brilliant.
This is one of my favorite RV build-outs. What a plus having a shower stall and toilet. Those are deal breakers for me as well as a real kitchen with a stove, even though Tiki's oven doesn't work at this time. Well designed, utilizing every square inch of real estate.
This has to be my most favorite RV ever. I could absolutely live here forever! Nice sturdy work and cozy!
This is a phenomenal remodel. She is a brilliant designer, resourceful remodeler, and a hilarious host.
Her van is gorgeous. Her energy and passion is contagious.
Tiki's is one of the best renovations I've seen in a Class C. Thank you...going to be stealing some of her ideas...I really enjoyed it. She made use of every inch of the vehicle.
What a spunky humorous woman! Wow......elegant simplicity and practicality in he design; she is talented. I agree this is the best re-do I have ever seen.
Some of the Best space saving ideas I have ever seen. Tiki has maximized living in this rather small RV to an amazing level!! Well done!
That's the first bed I've seen going through so many R.V living videos, that looks comfy. Very nicely decorated.
If I can ever do this, I want to hire Tiki to help me redesign it. What a brilliant lady!
OH! Brilliant design as Bob said! It is virtually unrecognizable. Love everything, removing the banquette was genius! Well ... actually all of this is. I am extremely impressed!! That was a LOT of work!
It is beautiful! Just beautiful!!!
This is so well thought out and designed perfectly for a single person. Tiki's living on about what I will be once my husband passes. I think I need to start thinking about what I should live in. My hubby and I were full timers for about 14 years. I'm glad we did it when we did, because now, at 'normal' retirement age, he is very ill and if we'd waited, it never would have happened. Thanks for sharing, Tiki! You rock!
We're at Tiki's right now! :)) Just had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with her yesterday, and did a tour with her just this morning of her new fifth wheel that will be coming up next week on our Two Meander channel. She is SO excited that you put this video up Bob. Woohoo! :))
Oh, and thanks Bob and Tiki for the plug on my first book @14:00. That was a nice surprise! :))
New fifth wheel, why?
@@vincefusco3248 Exactly. She had the class c perfect. Why a big 5th wheel?
What? Why would she buy something else when she had just made what she had nearly perfect??
This feels a bit like a real estate RV 'flip'. She's definitely well educated in RV, sales, etc. For many of us, just working on an RV is expensive and requires hiring help. I'm in a Class C and it always needs something. I admire her clean, uncluttered look. I haven't needed auxiliary storage since 2006. My motto is "less is more". Thank you Bob for videos re: Class C's.
Finally! I have wanted to see a twin size bed in a rig, because for me (single and happy) I only need a twin size bed. I love her design skills! Dreaming of living this lifestyle, for now I just watch videos 😉
Same here, been in a twin bed now for almost two years and I love sleeping alone, also single and loving it!
Ms.Tiki is from a generation that is not afraid to learn new and take any risk head-on. Most people of this generation believed in learning and knowing what they were dealing with everyday. This comes from commitment and hard work, that my generation and younger generation must learn from them.
She did a fantastic job redoing the inside of RV. Love the design inside.
THis is the PERFECT design in what I'm looking for! Most vans have huge beds taking up all the room....no bathrooms or tiny ones...and 4 places to sit....bed....swivel chairs in front...couch and booths/tables.....too much sitting/sleeping space and not enough functional space! I would want this set up or even with an overhead bunk...with a full kitchen with double sink plenty of counter space...desk area...and a full shower with sink/mirror and toilet...love it! I'm also 65 and semi retired and want to get off grid...and take nature photos to sell and write. TY Tiki!
This rig is better than the Sportsmobile I looked at a couple of months ago. She could go into business refurbing peoples campers. It is really remarkable what she has done. This is everything everyone would like to have in a camper. I would love to have her redo a wanderlodge.
This lady is brilliant! No wasted space at all!! Great video, I'm in awe of this woman! How talented and she is also very attractive, so she really shouldn't be worried about looking in a mirror, J/S
This is a VERY smart lady! She should be a consultant for companies building these.
OMG...NEED HER TO ORGANIZE MY ENTIRE LIFE. SHES SO TIDY GREAT JOB TIKI.
This is a true "HOME ON WHEELS." It's my favorite of any I've seen.
Tiki is such a wonderful lady. Tallented, intelligent, gritty(in a good way, maybe gutsy is better), fun, positive and so pretty.
She's a grat, crafty, designer, something I've wanted to do for my entire life, but life and health got in the way. Also adore her love for her tools. I'm the same way. Especially my power tools. Before a freak accident that's put me bedridden for some yrs now, i was in a wheelchair, using my chainsaw to take down a tree that was about5 inches in diameter and approx. 20 or so ft tall. Not only did I successfully fell it, but chopped it all up by myself and hauled it to the street in my wheelchair making folks on our busy road nearly wreck themselves from amazement followed by amusement. Yep, i love me some power tools.
I really wish I were in better health. I know i could live as inexpensively as she does and have enough income to have a bit more wiggle room.
Happy travels and retirement beautiful lady. I eanna be just like you when i grow uo. LOL 😂 ❤
This is hands down the best reno I've ever seen. I love the look of it, and the functionality is off the charts. Amazing!!
I would love to be friends with this woman! She is so smart, funny and stylish. I am so inspired! Thank you for sharing your world!
FINALLY TIKI HAS A NEW VAN TOUR!
Tiki, is a master of design! Very innovative! No wasted space.. amazing!
Delightful Tiki, very creative.Looks like a Park Av Studio Apt. Just like a sticks n bricks home you can go all out, moderate or no build as you desire. I love that she kept the cabinetry and the walls on the lighter side, to give the illusion of space. Very impressive. ❤💐
Tiki is such a joy! Thanks for the video, Bob!
Matt Lester Thanks Matt 😘
Absolutely love your RV conversion! What a marvelous job you have done to make that RV feel like Home on the Road! Safe Travels to you!
I love how she loves it so much.
Great organization!
Before I became disabled ♿ my husband and I were going to live in a RV, maybe 9 months out of the year, and spend 3 months here in Hawai'i.
We were both looking so forward to making one our own.
Oh well.. I'm happy to see others follow their dreams this way.
We've met the kindest, funnest people when we lived and traveled in our old RV.
It must be the mostly stress free life. 😊
Enjoy your retirement years. Good luck with your land. Sounds beautiful at that elevation. 🏞
I must say, we are blessed to homeowners in Hawaii, even though there are no wheels. 🏝
Sending you love and Aloha from east Honolulu! 💞🤙🌺
Amazing work!! This little lady is awesome!! I want to be friends with her!!
Tiki,s home is better than my house 🏡 just beautiful. She’s amazing!
Tiki, you did a fabulous job re configuring your Class C motor home!
She took the lead on that solar project. Way to go, girl. Impressive.
This is nice. A retiree just doing something that she really wants. Not because she has to. Beautiful home
I love her rv interviews and I heard new york times interviewed her thanks for telling us about the water machine Tiki you are incredible, great ideas passing along and you are also gorgeous.
If you ever want to stay in Reno (rural)and want to be my personal angel.....i have a 70's model motorhome that im living in and desperately need help creating my safe haven from a very toxic relationship.
I have absolutely no clue how to change this place around since it is pretty old ....please come down and inspire me!
I just love your home ❣❣❣😁
This is phenomenal!!! Clean, organized, aesthetically pleasing...the best reno I've ever seen!!!
Wow! This lady uses every inch of her space and it doesn’t look cluttered. Very nice 👍🏽
Great video!!!
She has a definite knack for design. Great ideas!!!
Love a woman that loves her tools!
Tiki is Amazing!!! Her zest for life just overflows and spreads happiness, with a little sassyness. I have seen her in many other videos and I enjoy her so much, what a fun gal. She has it figured out and would be a kick to hang out with. Lots of great ideas and a beautiful job on her redo on her amazing RV home. Great job tiki you inspire so many!
Kate L. Hi Kate, thank you 😘
@@tikilee7172 You are very welcome. I so enjoy watching you, and your RV is amazing. Great Job. Do you ever do videos of you and what your are doing in your RV? I subbed to your UA-cam channel, but it is just videos of other people... Would love to see you and your travels.... Take care and stay free and happy! : )
I couldn't agree more!!💖
Bob, thank you for being on this to help people and not just a paycheck like so many UA-cam RVers who give this lifestyle a bad name.
Is it afford an assistant or is someone just helping out of the kindness of their hearts? Or maybe he gives him half of what the channel makes? Does it matter though? Hes very helpful. And seems to be genuine. That's hard to come by... just sayin.
Stephanie - I agree Stephanie. If anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt it's Bob. I've learned a lot from his videos and I've certainly been entertained. He is the guru - Hal
One thing about Bob Wells is that I feel I can trust what he says. He is a man with Integrity and that is hard to find these days. Most RV UA-camrs constantly cry broke about this repair to the RV or what everything cost. They do that so they can pull on the heart strings of innocent people so they will donate and give more money. Bob Wells does not do that. He just likes to help people nothing more and nothing less. Thank you Bob.
mike Moore - Good points Mike. I've never heard Bob cry poor little ol' me
Rafael Garcia I hope he pays/gets for free, whatever the case is, Bob Wells does so much for people and he can’t do it all alone. So I hope he has 20 assistants!
She really made it like an apartment. Very nice 👍
I I am beyond impressed! As someone who has a fond enthusiasm for interior design, I can truly appreciate the aesthetic as well as the functionality of everything she’s done with the RV. I could only wish that somehow someway she could design an RV for me someday when I get to this point. She’s amazing! She really ought to work for the RV companies as their interior designer. Far supersedes the standards that they already have.
Tiki, is a very impressive lady with some beautiful design and storage ideas. Thanks for sharing
Bernie R 🙏🏻😘
Bernie R Thanks Bernie
This lady should have her own tv show.👍
Carl Jones Funny Carl. 😘
I love her plan for the future. A plot of land to call her own, with on the basic needs and still living in her RV...even if parked there. My own future plans put to tape!
Wow, this is my favorite rv ever! Can’t believe all the improvements she did and on her own!🙌🏻 5 years old so I hope she’s still traveling or hanging out in Sedona. One of my favorite places ❤
OK I don't know HOW many times I've watched this video!! I love it so much. First, I love the lack of clutter! Second, the use of space is so deliberate and I love that. And although Tiki did SO much carpentry, I think that a normal unskilled person like me could get an adequate copy of this will paint. LIke the way she painted the AC black, that I can do! This is just wonderful. Nice, nice, nice!!!!
yesiownfrodo Good catch on air conditioning cover.
@@tikilee7172 STILL WATCHING. You're a world changer.
The stainlesss steel French press on amazon works great and no breaks!
I agree! I don't worry anymore while I'm washing it.
Wow.. beautifully done. No wasted space..👍👍
When it comes to kitchen stuff, I'm not hearing anyone talking about induction burners. I kept hearing and reading articles about indoor pollution and how bad the combustion fumes from gas was that I broke down and bought a single induction burner for my house's kitchen, and I just love it. It plugs into a normal 110 outlet and heat pans up really quit. I'd never go back to gas or resistance heating. You should do some videos about that because it is so small and portable I think these would be great for RV life in terms of saving space and power. I am not sure really how much power it uses, and maybe propane is more convenient - especially if you already have a dual fuel generator, but just thought I would mention it. I think it was less than $100.
Well Tiki I am so impressed with your work and your vibrance. You have the right attitude for this lifestyle. Im disabled and in allot of pain. I started to convert a 2016 Sprinter Van and Ive stalled out on progress after moving from LA to Idaho. I own my new house out right but I still want to travel in my van before I am totally unable. You have inspired me to get going again. I'm going to find a young person who wants to learn how to build a van and get some help to finish this project. I missed the RTR last year and now again this year so the new goal is 2019. Thanks Bob.
Ian Gordon, approximately where in Idaho? We are in the LC Valley area. I am also wanting to build out a van, if it doesn't happen this summer, it will be the next summer. I also had the idea of finding a young builder to help!!!
Ian Gordon you can do it Ian! I’m in the same situation as you and am going to start a build soon.
@@donnahoffman1855 hey Donna. Ive got allot done so far but I still have to install the solar system 640 watts and the plumbing and wiring. I have all the parts and knowledge but a real bad back, hip, and need a rotator cuff repair. I live in Kuna. When the van is done I hope to assemble caravan of people to travel and remote camp. Do you have the bas or c van yet or in the planning stage. My advise, keep it simple. Im always reinventing the wheel.
@@cyndifoore7743 keep it simple. For a woman, it is probably best to start with a small motor home that already has the basics. Tiki was smart by making repairs and changesa little at a time. I started with a bare brand new van. I could have bought a new unit finished for what Ive spent in parts. I didnt plan on medical problems slowing down the build. My back is so bad I cant pickup any weight anymore and climbing around under the van is tough. Thanks
Ian Gordon, I am in the planning and saving money stage! I am also the full time caregiver for my mother with dementia. In my free time I am always making floor plans for tiny houses and van conversions. I have started collecting things for the van. We do have a lot of places to explore in Idaho. I figure it is a good place to get our feet wet..lol.
This one is exactly like the owner. Wise, neatly arranged, with moxy. Inspirational.
Being a guy, not only does it not ever cease to amaze me, but the education that I've acquired from their interviews & tours are superb! These women are in no doubt the greatest when challenged, are super, courageous, & continuous life giving humans! If only us men just at the least, listen to "em"!🤗...
Thanks once again Bob for this wonderful interview!
From a woman, what a kind and generous thing to say 😊
I've seen Tiki on other UA-cam Channels, She's a Kick in the pants, Wow, What she can do with an older RV is amazing !!
Me2. Almost didn't watch this one, because I have seen her elsewhere a couple of times. But I like how nice, clean and organized her RV is. Hoping my bus will turn out as neat.
Thank you Nocturnal. Love your name
Nocturnal, wait until you see her “bade home” 5th wheel! :))
How do I find it ? Thanks !!
Beautiful home! Super functional.
Good for Tiki!! She did an awesome job! So talented!
Stunning home! Every detail and need has been thought out but style is never sacrificed. Instead, she has a lovely, efficient, comfortable home that is a reflection of her. Well done- I really enjoyed.
I love her R V it’s simple and doesn’t have junk like the others. It has no clutter. Good job tiki 👏👏👏🌸🌸🌸🌸❤️❤️❤️
This is the second time I've seen a tour of tiki's rig and it amazes me more each time! She really has some great skills. And her saying she lives off $25/day is sooo encouraging for me. I literally just put a counter bid on my house and am waiting to hear if it's sold! As soon as I have closing I am heading out to get an rv. Can't wait!
allentown Gal good for you! I’m a Pennsylvania gal too originally.
Cyndi Foore Hi! Cindy Where ' bouts? No house sale yet. Know anyone who would like a nice little 2 bedroom? 😀
allentown Gal, congratulations! Hopefully you saw the original tour on our channel too. We soon will feature her “base home” 5th wheel too. You’ve got this! KOKO!
Tiki has it ALL together! She hit off every mark on my list of what I would want to do, but would have no idea how to do it myself! Maybe she would get in that business, of handling retrofits for RVs much like hers!
This woman should have her own youtube channel! She's great.
BOY.....that is nice. I can't believe it has that much room in 23ft I think she said. That makes my 19ft Class B look like a closet. And all that storage too. Best of luck with it.
dabprod Thank you dabprod
wow, this is a piece of art on wheels and she really knows what she wants and what she needs and ideas on how to do it. Brilliant.
That was a massive remodel, that lady did an amazing job 👏
This gal is amazing! She was in a previous Bob video and was super duper impressive then, and this sequel surpasses even that. I am completely serious when I say she should be President of the USA, everything would be a lot better. Tiki you're super wonderful, best wishes from Alan, in England x.
She did an great job of design and finding clever storage options.
