I have just made a blouse out of Viscose Lurex. I should have used a different fabric for the facing as the lurex irritates around the neck. Love your striped fabric :) Debbie x
Great fabrics 💖 I bought some fabric from pound fabrics recently too and it was a great quality. The sweatshirts I’ve made worked out well with the fabric. Like the look of the striped fabric you got x 😊
Great fabrics from Poundland. I definitely suggest pre washing the double gauze as it does shrink a bit and will crease up a lot. Then u decide whether to iron or not…… So far I’ve only really made PJs in double gauze but i am planning dresses in the summer 😊
Ooooooh that double gauze is giving all the ice cream sundae vibes. I got the spotty double gauze from pound fabrics which is going to be a sagebrush top. I prewashed & air dried you don’t have to iron, which is great news (hate ironing).
Hi Bonnie! I love your fabrics and plans! Definitely pre wash the gauze as it will shrink and hanging it to dry helps keep the lovely texture of the fabric. The style and colour of your poncho will look amazing on you!
If I remember correctly, Kittenish Behavior made that Mccall's cape/coat, so you might want to check out her videos on it before cutting into your nice wool fabric.
I do appreciate your sense of humour. I love the idea of a sprinkles-on- ice cream dress!🥰
Thank you so much xx
Double gauze is cotton fabric so it definitely needs to be pre-washed to get any shrinkage out of the way. Super cute pattern! Happy sewing.
Good to know! Thank you x
