I mostly make dresses too. I wear them a lot! We live and work on our farm. The fancier dresses go to town and the more casual ones I wear at home. Make the dress!
Depending on your machine, the easiest way to rethread your machine is to tie your new thread to the cut end of your existing thread. If you have an Air threader then just follow the instructions. The more you practise rethreading your machine, the more comfortable you will be. 💜🇦🇺
Have you thought about making the Tilly and the buttons Mabel top. It’s a really nice sew and would look lovely in that floral viscose fabric. Michelle (sewing bunny) has a sew along if you’ve not tried shirring before. Xx
that's going to be a gorgeous blouse! looking forward to seeing it. I also need to listen to you about not being too ambitious with plans!!! 😅
Be the best dressed in the office!!!
Yes, I'm participating SewAprilBlouse24. I have cut out a Frida by Atelier Jupe today and have more fabric pressed and ready to cut tomorrow

Love that! I can imagine a very beautiful dress twirling in the fields though! Very sweet!

Realistic is always the way to go.
Have made 2X Lauren blouse both in flannelette with long sleeves for winter in Australia - love the pattern.
Sounds great! I hadn’t thought of a long sleeve version 🥰
Hi, When you make the Lauren blouse make the ties longer, when I made it I couldn’t tie them so had to make some more x
Oh that’s great knowledge thanks so much for sharing! Will write a note on the packet
@@HappySpaceCreates I think Michelle from the sewing bunny had to lengthen hers too x

I would love to do a Mabel top, I don’t own the pattern yet. I keep saying to myself to learn how to do shirring. Thanks for the tip 😘 xx
