I have been roasting my Thanksgiving Turkey with your cheese cloth method for over 20 years and have never had a dry turkey, always Delicious. I printed your entire Thanksgiving planner all those years ago and pull it out every year! I even have the CD 😂 I also have the CD of your Mom's meatloaf, another family favorite. Thank you❤
Yes I agree with other commenters here! Please-show us the home you’ll be in and the decor! I’m NOT begging on my knees but I WILL PLEAD MY CASE!!! We NEED your grace, kindness and tutelages yes, but we ADORE whatever your doing in your home. Thank you! Love to family have the best ever Thanksgiving!!!🙏🏻❤️
YES!!!! i know!!! I wish they showed all the pre-1990 videos! I had them on VHS they are FAB! When she was in her GORGEOUS Turkey Hill residence- those are the BEST! Kimberly
I have been making my turkey like this with cheesecloth ever since I watched Martha do it 25 years ago on her morning television show. It's just always perfect. Thanks Martha!!!
I absloutly vouch for the traditional turkey recipe, this was the first turkey I have ever made and both my side of the family and my husbands side (including my mother in law) said it was the best turkey the ever had and would not stop raving about it.
This year I combined the butter soaked cheesecloth method with the parchment paper method and it was the best turkey I have ever tried! I seasoned and stuffed the cavity with lemon, onions, garlic & herbs giving it great flavor. My family doesn’t even like turkey that much and everyone was raving about the flavor and how tender and juicy it was. Thanks Martha!
Martha you have great insider information on stuffing a turkey...so talented and a pusher of fine recipes. Have to have a merlo wine and switch off my cell when you cook!!! Such a delight to watch!! 😢
@@a.marcoux4274 Yes, she clearly explains everything, & most of her ingredients are basics found in most every good cook's kitchen. Thanks for your reply.
You are a wonderful teacher. So calm, charming and fun sharing nutritious conscious food and the way of cooking. So impressed. Happy Thanksgiving to you from Michigan!! ❤
I absolutely look watching cooking shows, especially Martha Stewart. Amazing cooking steps, she shows every step and explains so well. But to be honest, who wants to go through all these steps to make a Thanksgiving dinner nowadays. Like making the pureed potatoes etc. Just think most people are not going to out the real effort into their meals that she does for her show. Many people, younger generations don't even know how to cook even simple basic meals. They have grown up on fast foods, processed, premade meals, frozen or restaurant foods. My family was from Massachusetts so we always had home cooked meals. I was raised in Southern California though, but I learned as a teenager how to cook full healthy meals because of my parents.
That is very similar to my stuffing. I do use dried cranberries, which gives it a little brightness. And for nuts, I pan- toast slivered almonds. So good!
I have been making Martha’s stuffing recipe for 25 years. We all love it! I don’t put the nuts or cherries in. And my daughter has to have this stuffing even when she has thanksgiving dinner with her in-laws
I'm surprised. Usually had the bouquet Garnier tied in leek, but you took it to the next level of expanding the flavor compared to French cuisine art. Thank you Martha!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
My mom made it simple also, and it was delicious your turkey came out soo beautiful, and love how you also kept it simple I will definitely follow your recipe I could smell it over here. Have a beautiful Thanksgiving 🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃🦃👍🥰
I never brine my turkey for me I don't see any difference! But I do salt and pepper the turkey with other spices for 24 hours and the day of I just use room temperature butter and herbs and salt and pepper! The key to a moist turkey is to keep an eye on it with a thermometer and base it a few times ! Thats it and it comes out delicious and moist..
I made that cheesecloth butter wine Turkey One time. It was fantastic!!! From that time ,to now , and for evermore, in my family, it is referred to as … the shroud of turkey 😂😂
If you want a good, moist Turkey, brine it first. I do it overnight in a five gallon bucket. I put in about three gallons of water, 2 cups of table salt, one cup of brown sugar. I stir it all up and put the Turkey in it. Mi then finish filling up the bucket with water until it is within one inch of the top and cover it with a plastic serving tray. There, it will stay until the next morning. This finishes melting any frozen parts of the Turkey. My wife then washes off the turkey and bakes it in her normal way, which includes lots of butter. After you brine a Turkey, you will never cook one again without being brined.
@@candicekellyhomeswe put ours in a five gallon bucket with our brime. Couple days in the fridge. We have a walk in cooler. Quess not everyone has a walk in cooler. 😊
As someone with a deadly/severe tree nut allergy, I'm used to having to ask if nuts are in foods that I expect to find them in...pies, desserts, baked goods, etc. Thanksgiving stuffing is the last place I'd expect to find pecans though...I'd hate to show up to a Thanksgiving dinner and realize I can't have any of the stuffing or turkey because of tree nuts.
