Here are the steps to the dance: 1. Dancers A and B stand side by side facing forward. 2. Dancer A jumps twice on the spot and then both step three paces forward. 3. Both dancers jump twice on the spot, then turn to face each other. 4. They swap places and turn around so that they're now standing side by side facing backward. 5. They jump twice again, and then Dancer A kicks Dancer B lightly on the butt. 6. They turn around and jump twice again, then take two steps, and Dancer B kicks Dancer A back. 7. They jump twice again, take two more steps, and Dancer A kicks Dancer B again. 8. They turn to face each other, slap their hands against their thighs, then each other's hands, then their thighs again, then each other's hands again. 9. Finally, they turn so that they're back-to-back, clap twice, and bump butts. Repeat the cycle as many times as you choose.
I've just worked my way through the whole show. It is all really innocent fun, but I am amazed at how well it has stood the test of time; the production is great, the script is often brilliantly written and hilarious, and the acting is superb. It was really great to revisit this series again after about 40 years! I'm totally addicted and will probably rewatch the whole thing all over again.
I like the idea of the scarecrow hop because the world would be a better place for everyone especially after Brexit it would cheer Great Britain up and make it a better country and a happier place to be especially for birthday parties and wedding parties wouldn’t it be great for England.
I was going to jest that poor ol Worzel would get #metoo'd in today's batshit feminazi climate but whaddya know Shirley beat me to it! Ladies and gentlemen, let's all give a big hand to Shirley Pena - the woman who got offended by a dance on Worzel Gummidge.
@goddambitch12 Sorry, but the thought of my starting every Monday morning by getting my arse repeatedly kicked by some butt ugly man would NOT make my world a happier place, lol.
Priceless absolutely priceless from an era when real talent was the norm and the TV producers where in tune with what there audiences wanted alas not the same now TV is full of talentless non entities and the producers are only in tune with what they want
You sound like a very grumpy old man with a very selective memory. TV has always had its good and had sides - there was a lot of junk on TV then if you actually care to remember. It's amazing how if you do actually remember those days, people did nothing but moan about how bad TV was - and how full of repeats. TV hasn't really got any better or worse if you add it all up. All that's happened is that you've got old.
@@zeddeka well for a start off there was a lot less telly in those days so the ratio of crap to excellence was far narrower than it is now so your wrong on that count even before you've started!! As far as being a grumpy old man with a selective memory, how could anybody be accused of being grumpy who laughs and appreciates the stellar performance of John pertwee's worzel gumidge!! And as far as selective memory is concerned i would wager its you who has to be selective wading through the reams of self indulgent shite that passes for entertainment today!! At least my memory's are happy ones and your critique is not as intelligent as it thinks it is😁😁
It's about a scarecrow, Worzel Gummidge, who is magically brought to life by a character called the Crowman. Worzel is a bit naive, mischievous and childlike. He is madly in love with "Aunt Sally" which is like a large wooden doll, but she doesn't return his feelings, she just uses him to her own ends. A lot of the episodes revolve around Worzel creating all sorts of mischief while trying to please Aunt Sally while two of the local village children try to keep everything under control. Not everyone knows Worzel comes to life, only the children and the Crowman.
Ryan Anthony why not just watch the episodes ?. I’m from England and send this to an American friend and he just didn’t get our superb English sense of humour . You Americans want everything analysed and scrutinise everything to the point where the humour is lost and no longer a joy to lighten the heart 💔😒
It's a kids show set in rural England, with a mood that's naive, nostalgic and creepy (bordering on horror), about a scarecrow and a wooden dummy that come to life and behave absolutely appallingly.
Poor Worzel just wants to be loved. Tries to escape work whenever he can, and devotes his love to a heartless bitch that uses him every time she clocks eyes on him. Fuck....this sounds very familiar
Jon Pertwee is a legend who will never be forgotten. Worzel was fantastic.
Jon Pertwee in his finest role, matched so superbly by Una Stubbs. Acting at it's best. Brought a smile with a tear. Fantastic...thankyou.

Love that both Jon and Bill Pertwee in a scene together.

I agree. I have reached the show hundreds of times and still catch a new joke. I always laugh at his greetings to the crowman, like "your plumtitude".

What a genius performer Jon was . We will never get such artists again 😪
I'll always love worzel gummidge 😂❤❤
Jon Pertwee and his distant cousin Bill, what a Hugenot treat.
Legendary TV show - They dont make them like that now!! Thanks for uploading :)
I think it should be one of the dances in Strictly Come Dancing or Dancing with the Stars
Una Stubbs is having the best day ever.
@GuanoLad Until she woke up the next day with a black and blue arse and a sore back. :-(

Showbiz!
Part of my childhood gone now that 'Aunt Sally'(Una Stubbs) has passed away recently.
2.24 but did they really get married by the end of the series
This has to be the greatest work Jon pertwee ever done as a actor played worzel to perfection
Really like this episode of worzel and aunt Sally dancing
Wow
As an American, can someone explain this show to me?

This show is a testament to how easily entertained the slow-brained elders of today were in their youth.
Spare a thought for how bad the braindead youth of today already are given the entertainment they watch.
