This is so impressive. So many people totally don't appreciate the knowledge, skill, precision, and technology involved in todays modern farming. This is simply amazing!
Do the farms own all that equipment? I apologize since I'm from Europe and we have very small fields here. How does it work? Do they lease the machines for the harvest? Cause in my country everyone owns their equipment and I cant even imagine someone owning 2 of those things let alone 6 or how many they have...
@@sgtbigpoop8559 not all but the majority of the largest operations are still family owned in the United States. Also there are some pretty large custom crop firms. I’m not sure about Canada. It’s actually very hard for small farmers in the United States now. New equipment is so expensive and sluggish commodity prices have made it impossible for the small guy. Small farms have sold out to larger ones that have cash flow and equity in land to purchase the struggling smaller farm. It’s a shame I was a small dairy farmer in my late teens and early 20’s. But I do respect the large farms and always thought the large farm equipment was cool. Was always a dream of mine to have a large farm in Montana.

If a company ever builds a combine that will pass all of Mike's tests with flying colors, I would say buy it! All jokes aside, I really like your machinery reviews. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to put them out on free u-tube :)
How long did they harwest for that amount of 50 milion, how much acres or bushells? Here in Croatia South eastern Europe average wheat field is about 5 acre and in my region the bigest is about 100 acre.. By the way You have awesome machinery and field's
@Lyn Wessel, thank you for answering my questions. 40,000 acres is a lot of land! Always wanted to get up north to Canada and see how things are done up there. From the looks of it, pretty much the same as in the Great Plains.
I like Mark's 3 points of contact and safety harness while observing the grain cart auger. Workman's comp would be happy. Just like they would be with Mike's gymnastics outside the cab on operating equipment.
@@benpattinson1 Since when is Claas better than Fendt? Never was and never will! I am not a fendt favorit but the truth is Fendt is much better then Claas.
Azorean Tractorspotter / unfortunately sir, where combines are concerned, you are factually incorrect. The Claas range of combines and specifically the top of the range Lexions are unbeatable.
Love ,love ,love your philosophy on the yeild monitors and sensors , certainly good tools but you still get paid by what goes across the scale and the moisture test that comes out of that load !!! 50feet would never leave the lot in Illinois most everything over 20 gets trailered most of the time !! So many machines that you have a traffic jam in the lot is a fairly unique problem I'd think but pretty fun and impressive !! Keep these coming and thanks a lot !!!
Cant believe your already in the combines seem like a month ago you were planting them ok mike good to hear from you again have fun oh hows married life treating you

I love how your videos are so informative and from a bit of an engineering perspective. ‘this is how it works and this is why it works like that’ great videos Mike as always. Ps, updated farm tour please 😬
I really like how mike thinks sometimes, i totally agree with him on, in harvest is not the time to think on increase your yield or anything like that or how much are we getting, its the time to put the grains on the combines the best way, the time to think on increasing yields is way past, most on germ and spray phase....
Impressive park of Fendt combines, grain carts and tractors, woow. Well, enjoy the 2020 harvest with your team and family. Be careful and secure with all the equipent Keep safe. Have fun😉👌

Looks like high a volume low profit per acre type area, although they don't spend money on tillage. They know how to farm in that area successfully.
Have a safe bountiful harvest. Thanks for the ride a long.
Good luck, enjoy the harvest

You mentioned the wheat baked in the head. I know people who are the same way ....
Bahahaha!!! 😂 Bets comment!
In America that is what we call a Demorat. After baking the head falls off.
Why do they have the top of the concave welded shut? Seems like it takes away threshing area.
I see lots and lots of health and safety measures, good on you Mike nice job! 😅😉
Nice operation there Mike, looks like a great crop, nice and early too.

Your dealer is well aware that a service unit on site is valuable for you and thus his business. Nice to have a conscientious dealer.
Looks like they need a service unit on site do they come with purchase
He leases them so the company probably does most of the service work or is there to help with the proper tools and expertise.
Awesome Mike great videos big gear have a good season 👍🚜
