Omega has been the long-term watch partner of the James Bond film franchise for close to 30 years, so it was no surprise that in 2022 Omega released a pair of watches to commemorate 60 years of Bond on screen. What was a surprise, was what Omega came up with to celebrate the milestone - one a Canopus gold dive watch with a Jamaica-inspired gem-set bezel, and a silicon dial, the other a throwback to the ‘90s with an aluminum wave dialed steel Seamaster. Today, Tim unboxes the latter.

no way, titanium is the best!
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the presentation of the animated sequence on the back deserved more screen time and to be presented right side up! And a video demonstration of how the bracelet holes work would have been better than the verbal-only description. If the aim was to get the video under 10 minutes, you could have shortened the description of the owner’s manual.
I love everything about this watch except for the 007 case back motion graphics- is there any way to take it off and just have the traditional sapphire case back from the regular watch? is that totally insane or am I just another member of the watch tribe 🤣🤔
The bezel insert is actually anodized aluminum, not ceramic like the standard current model.
Can we just get a non-Bond-branded no date diver, please? What is so hard about this?

@@BrendanBoswell can confirm, tried one in a Parisian omega shop. Too expensive, and that rear james bond is awful taste.
Price is crazy and it’s unobtainable currently. The back is too much of a gimmick as well. Just give us the blue no date with this 60th anniversary bezel at a fair price - and make it available
They lost me with the graphics on the back side....let me see that movement! Love my white dial of the current Seamaster though. Gorgeous!

Totally agree. Mesh bracelets need to be relegated to Piagets of the 1970’s.

The Diver 300 needs a complete revamp and has for years now. The case, bracelet (standard steel one), and hands all look like they're out of the 1990s because they are...and the helium escape valve is a massive, ugly, unnecessary wart that needs to die in a fire.
Nice to see Omega’s specialty watches get such a huge price increase.

@@roybatty6368 I'd expect Patek to give me a better box since you pay an average of 8 times what you pay for an Omega. Plus, Omega makes themed boxes, while PP only makes generic boxes that despite being gorgeous aren't nearly as special

There is no exhibition about the fit of the bracelet because It fails on smaller wrists. 16cm is to small for this bracelet.
The bezel is aluminium not ceramic, pretty basic information to get wrong….
Aluminum dial and bezel inlay, anodized for better scratch resistance.
The Nato Strap does not come with the watch
I just picked up a 60th Bond, great watch. You say it came with a nato. I did not recieve one,

Sorry Tim, no way this will fit a 15 cm wrist. Your 16 cm (same as mine) can barely accommodate it. Bracelet is pulling straight down on both sides.

No, you’re just seeing Omega deploy its product strategy in an effort to mirror Rolex, AP and Patek. They started it, really, with the Snoopy, then the 321, and now this.
When you get ignored by Omega, you know your life is not working out too well
It's quite frustrating. Omega boutique in vancouver said they do first come first serve.
But omega playing the games just like Rolex etc. Losing respect for them.

The mesh bracelet doesn't work for small wrists..Be aware.
You can custom order a shorter mesh bracelet from Omega. You can for the NTTD Seamaster, at least.

I really love my white Seamaster and love this design. However, why do Omega persist with these cheesey bond embelishments. I grew up with Bond movies . None of the watches need any of this tat. Its a deal breaker for me!

I have the no time to die edition, any major differences? I know no time to die is titanium and has a patina look, and this is steel with a blue dial, but is there anything else?

@@SaltBhj oh ok thanks, yeah see the differences now. I like the broad arrow head engraving on my no time to die. Tho i do like a see thorough case back as well. The lolipop second hand and the 60 mark is not a big deal for me. The only major porblem i have with no time to die is the titanium its easily scratched and i dont like polishing watches.
@@AhmadAlAjeel I always thought that Titanium was more difficult to scratch than Stainless Steel but I guess I was wrong, or maybe this particular grade of Titanium is easily scratched. I believe the watch is made out of Grade 2 Titanium.
I put my name on a stupid waitlist here in Abu Dhabi for the 60th Anniversary one because I prefer the heft of Steel and because of the beautiful wave-engraving on the dial. Beautiful watches though, can’t go wrong with either.
@@AhmadAlAjeelactually it’s not really more prone towards scratches. titanium is harder, but darker than steel. so ever scratch is easier to see and 95% of those scratches are the coating most watchmakers do on titanium.
