WOW! It seems that we share almost the same favorite songs on all the albums (just changing "Headbanger" for "IDZ"). I'm impressed!
Well, "Mirror Mirror" is probably my favorite from THE OTHER ONE but "MAYA", "Believing" and "METALIZM" are right there. I'm really bad at processing my favorites so I will need a few more listens to get the whole picture... and listen to the live versions, of course. By the way, the five songs premiered live so far sound like 1000 times better then the studio versions (as expected).

I'm glad to see more people reacting to this new BM single I'm pretty sure everyone was looking for. I like the progressive metal vibes, the heavy breakdown and the existential questions too.

MIRROR MIRROR kinda reminds me of CATH ME IF YOU CAN.... Bright pop in chorus mesh with eerie verses... Also the theme for both songs are about kinda creepy tales or lores... I think...

The whole album is fantastic. Love the new direction Babymetal is taking.
Some people think BM wouldn't go harder just because the previous songs as you said were more simplistic but this was already a thing since the beggining and mainly Metal Galaxy album despite having some complex stuff there, and honestly this is one of the main reasons that I love this band so much is they know how to be simple and complex when it's needed there's some songs better than others but they never have a bad song regardless.
This is BM scratching their prog metal itch again. Other examples are "Rondo of Nightmare", "The One" and their best song "Tales of the Destinies". I also like the themes of duality, good and bad and the existential questions. The "Macbeth" quotes are chanted by the 3 witches...which might be an allusion to the past and maybe future make up of BM.
