- Willard and FP react to a report from ESPN's Tim McMahon saying that the Utah Jazz may be more interested in acquiring Brandin Podziemski than Jonathan Kuminga in return for Lauri Markkanen if a deal were to ever happen.

kuminga is electric. when he goes airborne and gets launched the wattage is off the charts in the arena. it even comes thru if your watching tv. he has the most dunks .he also has the most exciting windup dunks !

Jazz do not want to extend a contract to Lauri or Kuminga. If Kuminga was going into his second year rookie contract, Danny would hang up if Kuminga wasnt on the table.
Jazz want to tank for Cooper and not pay Lauri or Kuminga which is why Podz is the primary target.

Podz should count as a first round pick. ALL picks are somewhat of a gamble and can hit or miss. He is clearly a HIT. Achieved well above his pick number. Actually if Walker Kessler is worth 2 firsts then Podz is worth more than that.
If that's the case then Moody should too. They can't trade him for a bag of hot cheetos.

It all started because of team USA Select team and a video that now has gone viral of Cooper Flagg saying that Podz was the most favorite player he played with.
What people are forgetting is their Timeline. Podz lines up better than any other player to line up with Flaggs Timeline and they’ve created chemistry

Btw, any trade for Lauri isn't a smart basketball move. It's a debt owned to Steph and what he means to the franchise. Basically, it changes the 2.5% odds to win a title to 5% chance.

I wouldn't make any trade for anyone that involves draft picks that could help warriors in the future curry and kerr are leaving in 2 years and curry wouldn't let the team trade klay or Draymond for players that could help him win now and draft picks that could help the team in the future after curry leaves

Podz is good, but I hope the Warriors don't run the risk of overrating him. Feels like the Warriors are going out of their way to promote him more now. He did the video for those hideous new Statement Edition uniforms for this year, he's playing in the Summer League when he probably doesn't have to at this point. He's established in the league now early in his career. I just hope the Warriors aren't doing too much with Podz.

@@JB-sb5ph they would give up podz except he’s their back up point. So they can’t include him. That leaves wigs or JK. They will give up one or the other but they can’t give up both as they play the same position and then gsw would have no athletic wings if they both go.
Kuminga is great. I don’t think Utah gets him plus a boatload of picks. If I’m golden state I explore other deals. Danny Ainge is toying with warriors the same way the clippers did. They gonna get nothing from that deal and they are gonna end up losing loyal players.
No on pods plays hard plays. Send jk and two first round picks and Wiggins. The team just can’t give everything.
I'd easily give up Kuminga over Podz. Kuminga has shown little growth in 3 years. And he is going to demand a hefty payday next season. Podz contract negotiation isn't for years.
