Summary judgement is a very dangerous and not smart move by the defendant. In summary judgements, the judge only looks at the evidence. There is no direct or cross examination of witnesses, there is no motions to be filed, there is no arguments to be made. It’s evidence vs evidence and that’s it. Very simple, really, even a college bound pre-law student would understand what summary judgment means.

There is a very good case for a mistrial because of the way this judge is acting. He should lose his license, be removed from the bench and be prohibited from practicing law ever again. I thought “harm suffered” was an essential element to a claim of “fraud” by the party suing and claiming “fraud.” And who involved in the loan transactions in question is claiming “fraud” and “harm suffered?” I understand the banks were paid back? @daddski1 I'm guessing that you aren't familiar with what summary judgment is and how it works, either. Copious amounts of evidence were presented to the court with motions by both parties. In-person testimony is not the only type of evidence reviewed in a trial.

There is a very good case for a mistrial because of the way this judge is acting. He should lose his license, be removed from the bench and be prohibited from practicing law ever again. I thought “harm suffered” was an essential element to a claim of “fraud” by the party suing and claiming “fraud.” And who involved in the loan transactions in question is claiming “fraud” and “harm suffered?” I understand the banks were paid back? The prosecutor posted a video and stated, “…today, we rest our case. After 11 weeks, the Judge issued a guilty verdict… before the trial began.” How can the judge do that, OR EVEN provide a summary judgement TWO WEEKS prior to the prosecutor resting their case!?

When the judge had his mind made up BEFORE the trial started, how can you say it will be a fair and impartial trial. When a judge tells the.defendant to shut up, but let's the prosecution say what they want, how can you say it's a fair and impartial trial. When a judge strips you of your right, how can you say that it's a fair and impartial trial???

Now, going back to the issue, the judge examined evidence and prosecution statements. That's his job and you don't seem to like it. The judge decided one crime was proven and the trial should go on and examine the other charges. You dislike that BECAUSE the defendant is a famous fat con man. That's all.

"Guilt is determined before the trial, the trial itself is a show for the people so that they can see justice being done", or something to that effect. In any other courtroom in the United States, Donald Trump would qualify as an expert on real estate development and valuation. I say this as a civil lit atty for 26 yrs, who uses experts in almost every case.

The thing that shocks me most about this trial is trumpet. No presumption of innocent. He was presumed guilty and the whole purpose of the trial was to find out what the penalty phase would be. That does not seem like law in america at all
