They look Wonderful!!! I think I would add peas to it and make it creamed peas n potatoes!!! Thank you Angela Kay for sharing another Great recipe with us!!! God Bless Us All!!!
YES! THAT'S THE WAY YOU DO IT! BUTTER AND SALT AND LOTS OF PEPPER! My Grandma made them. Just needs cornbread, green beans and a slice a onion! I've got my potatoes on the stove! Thank y'all!
The shake method for mixing flour and liquid is the easiest. I do it that way all the time, but I just use a jar with a lid, so quick! The stir method takes sooo long !!!
These look so yummy. I live in Canada and I have never heard of these. I absolutely love anything that has to do with potatoes and have been looking for a new recipe because we are tired of mashed potatoes. I am going to make these tonight. I'm not sure if I'll get an answer by tonight but I was hoping that you would have an answer for me and the question is can you use cornstarch and milk instead of flour?
This what my folks called creamed potatoes and what folks call creamed potatoes we called mashed potatoes. Haven't fixed creamed potatoes in a long time. It 10:46 pm when typed this have wait till tomorrow to fix me some. ugh lol's

That is so true
My mom would fix this but she added diced onions. I fixed them for my husband, he'd never had them before but he loved them.
That's how my mom made them also. We call them smothered potatoes.....I miss her so much!!
I am trying this recipe tonight!! Thank you!!!
Mama made these thick sliced, and soupier with a bit of bacon drippings.
Here in southeastern Ohio they were called shanty-house potatoes!
that would be good too....I'm sure a lot of regions have a unique name for them....and I find that interesting
Grew up eating this with cornbread. My mother made them a little bit more soupy. We liked them on top of cornbread.
Good job looking awesome thx for sharing We enjoyed it Be safe stay well and God Bless

Yes, you could, but it wouldn't have the same creaminess like the flour does. It would be a little more gelatinous than it would be creamy

Thank you I understand!
Thickened taters is what we call it here in NC and they are a staple. Awesome video, I feel that a lot of this stuff is becoming a lost art
I add Lesuer peas a can, can of condensed milk, 4 sliced boiled eggs, 1 cup chicken broth , salt, pepper, cayenne, 3 Tablespoons APF. Wonderful. Butter 1/2- 1 tablespoons butter. Thank you. Georgia.
