This guy just needs more subs, he designs an entire world full of technology and cars and 99% of the vr chat community doesn’t even know. Keep up the great work! Hope you get what you deserve!
I was so stoked to start watching your VLOG series, then devastated when I saw you had ended it and haven't made any vids since January this year... that saddens me. You are incredible sir. Your talent rivals the best and highest paid developers and you planned on giving most of it away for free to other devs... that is incredible. I sure hope you start this series up again, and I LOVE your driving world! My favorite world by far, even more than SACs test pilots... Do you still plan on releasing these cars as prefabs? They are incredible and I would love to have one or two in my crappy world. It would sure make it shine a whole lot!!! . Keep up the good work sir and I hope you get what you deserve from this community. how you only have 1k views is beyond me!!!
Thank you so much for lovely words, I feel truly humbled and the least I can do is give a worthy answer. Unfortunately 2021 had a really rough start for me in terms of my private life and maintaining monthly videos documenting my work got too overwhelming with everything I had going on at the time. NYE special was also the first video I edited with DaVinci Resolve after transitioning from VEGAS and it took quite a while to get used to and become efficient with editing. Since the beginning of the year I put almost all of my resources into getting my first driving world public, and since April I have been working on improving the vehicles further and getting them ready for the eventual release on GitHub. All of the original plans are still active, and I have started by releasing my UdonEssentials (github.com/Varneon/UdonEssentials) repository which is steadily growing into a bigger package of foundational prefabs that are also necessary for the vehicles. The script for the Q1-Q2 development vlog is almost complete and I will be moving on to recording as soon as I'm done with more critical work like Udon performance research. Bottom line is that I'm definitely planning to revive the series in a form that I have the resources for and the UdonVehicles GitHub repository is actively being worked on every single day. There are still too many projects in the background to squeeze down to a single UA-cam comment so I'm hoping that the next episode covering the entire beginning of this year will shine some light on exactly how much I've been working on this year. -Varneon
Hey man love your videos!! I think your a really good creator and I can’t believe you are able to make thing so realistic and cool! I have a question if this works on quest? Thanks and have a great day!
Thank you! I assume you are asking about the vehicles so correct me if I'm wrong. The main purpose of the vehicles is to be a system available for any VRChat world creator so that they can create their own vehicles for their worlds. The core system itself has no limitations regarding Quest as far as I'm aware, so it will be up to the world creator to make their content Quest compatible. I will eventually have my own Quest compatible demo world for showcasing the vehicles.
I must of missed the music player in the car but I also got stuck inside it lol, either you have done amazingly well developing so many cool and interesting prefabs I look forward to seeing them implemented in future worlds and maps.
VR users without full body tracking will grab the steering wheel and gear shifter with grip, accelerate with right trigger and brake with left trigger. Clutch will be automatic in VR only mode
Components for creating motorcycles are planned. My own demo vehicles will not be based on real brands, but anyone using my system to create their own vehicles may use any 3D model they wish
Wow... the driveable cars are coming along incredibly. Just, wow...

Lets say someone doesn't have full body, would be possible to use the controller stick to accelerate/decelerate ?
VR users without full body tracking will grab the steering wheel and gear shifter with grip, accelerate with right trigger and brake with left trigger. Clutch will be automatic in VR only mode
@@Varneon Beautiful! Thank you for the info, doing a gorgeous job
i hope to god i get to try this out one day
that would be so sick and with all the customization to the cars me and my buddy can make sick drift cars
Dahm so many great things you create
Awesome This is what i call a turn for Vrchat :D are you planning any Motorcycles like the Yamaha ore GSXR ? hey and happy New Year from Germany :D
Components for creating motorcycles are planned. My own demo vehicles will not be based on real brands, but anyone using my system to create their own vehicles may use any 3D model they wish
I wanted to ask but how did you get the ma3 lighting console in club VGL in VRC?
Modeled it from scratch and added logic on top of it using VRCSDK2
@@Varneon ok I see, that really cool!
What game studio do you work for when you aren't doing this?
I don't. I'm a self-taught developer and have never worked in the game development industry professionally.
I’m having trouble getting into the PC car world. When I try joining, it just takes me back to the home world
Ok now when I load in to vrchat it brings me to a world and says theres a problem, i cant find a way to fix it
Will it work for a rift player
Rift is officially supported by VRChat, so yes.
How do I use my feet without pedals
You are doing God's work here.
