Ok So Jurassic World No Way Home is finally here and the brand new movie brings together the old and new cast so that they can take down the Dinosaurs from the days of future past. This new film is basically about how life, uh, finds a way and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the plot, ending and also what we think of the film.
You bet Jurassic be full of bad puns and this video will have major spoilers so if you don't want it ruined then I suggest you extinct the video. Make sure you hit the thumbs up button if you enjoy it and also don't forget to subscribe for breakdowns like this every week.
With that out the way, thanks for clicking this, now lets get into Jurassic World Dominion.
So the movie is set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom and primarily it follows Owen, Claire and Maisie who now live out in the wilderness, attempting to hide the latter away from the world. Last movie we learned that Maisie was a clone of her mother Charlotte and throughout this film we unearth exactly why she's so special. We discover that Maisie was an immaculate conception and that her mother carried her in her own womb which is something that was hidden from Maisie by her grandfather.
Turned out that she was genetically bred to be exactly the same, however Charlotte discovered that she had a rare genetic condition within her that would prove to be fatal. She managed to remove this from Maisie so that she no longer carried this disease but she took the secret of how to accomplish this to her grave. We discover that Dr. Wu has been seeking her out so that he can find a way to erradicate the genetically modified locust that he's been creating for the company Biosyn.
Yep, movie about Dinosaurs and we gotta deal with Locust.
Now Biosyn is basically an opposite to INGEN and it's headed up by Lewis Dodgson who you might remember as being a character from the first Jurassic Park movie. He's the only actor not to return because the guy who originally played him is now a convicted sex offender so instead they've got in The Amazing Spider-man's dad.
Also Biosyn...like Biological Sin...incase...incase you were wondering who the bad guys were.
Now he's headed up the locust project and it's theorised by Ellie that these swarms have been attacking crops throughout the world that aren't made through seeds from the company. They're on their way to causing a food crisis that will lead to billions of people starving and thus she goes to get help from Dr. Alan Grant.

My only issue is that after decades of building up this Jurassic saga they could’ve come up with a better movie
I love how the villain is basically Tim Cook and his base of operations looks exactly like the Apple Park

The Dino Black Market was very creative and one of my favorite scenes. Plus seeing the OGs one last time felt great. Alan Grant was my mood the entire movie. Honestly his moment where he kinda learns how to hault Beta long enough to capture her was touching cause he was a huge raptor guy in the first and third movies and for him to do that personally is big so that I would call a moment in this movie for sure.
I just saw it and this hits the one thing I did love. That scene with Alan made the whole thing worth it
It should have been the main focus of the film rather than the locusts. They can still go back get the carnivores, then breed, train and sell more

His predictions were true. Life did find a way. Like the original movie where the entire island was restricted off as their sanctuary, here the mountain range was restricted off as their sanctuary by the end of the movie
I'll be honest, watching the Brachiosaur sadly crying out on the dock as the smoke and flames overtook it was when I emotionally severed myself from these films. I've been numb to it all ever since.

Just came back from the cinema and I really enjoyed it. Sometimes the story is too convenient but totally expected from other Jurassic movies. Love seeing plenty new species and familiar faces at the same time.

I’m glad I went to see it today with my kids instead of light year, we all enjoyed it. I saw the original in the cinema back as a kid & this had a good bit of nostalgia to it with the original characters.
It did feel a bit like a bond movie in the earlier part but it still felt like a Jurassic park movie too.
I wanted to like this movie so bad. I think the bit that stings the most is that there are elements of a really good movie in there.

Dominion wasn’t meant to be a full on serious amazing adventure movie, at least that’s what I think. What I believe they were trying to do was just end the franchise in a fun way by bringing out so many new creatures, plots, and scenes.
I liked it but I missed the first 30 mins of the movie cause of my dad misreading our ticket 💀
On top of that it was not an IMAX theater, so the image was cropped on the top and bottom.
If after all of that I enjoyed the tension, it has to have been a good movie.
I'll watch it again on 4K Blu Ray and I expect to love it

@@CarolCityCane305 I appreciate your opinion, but I disagree. I can agree that the whole locust idea felt a bit too extreme but being honest, I didn’t really mind it. What I wished they had focused on more though was Rexy and the Giganotosaurus, as they got a shockingly small amount of screen time. But all in all, it was just nice to see a Jurassic World movie go off with everything it could and squeeze it into one movie, the movie still being the longest one of course. So if I could describe dominion in one word it would most likely be thrilling.

I think that one of the greatest things about this movie was how Maisie accepted Owen and Claire as her parents and how they showed unconditional love towards her, just like real parents would. The three of them and their chemistry in this movie just felt good to me.
It was also very cool and nostalgic to see the original trio back in action and it's always great to see new species in these movies!

@@Lifewithemerson323 Don't get me wrong. I love dinosaurs but for a movie to succeed it needs more than CGI. In my opinion this movie was pretty well balanced between the dinosaur scenes and the story line in general. Not perfect tho!

"If you turn your brain off" is exactly what you should do. A film about dinosaurs isn't going to be groundbreaking anymore, but if you go with an open mind you will enjoy the jump scares, the dinosaurs, some of the characters etc. It's not as good as the first of this trilogy, and definitely not as good as Jurassic Park itself, but my daughter and I really enjoyed it.

I lowered my expectations a few movies ago so I enjoyed it for what it is. I do agree the best ones were on the island and the human clone and locus took away from the movie at its core.
Tbh I really enjoyed this movie, even if it didn't live up to the hype. It was nice to see old characters and I loved every scene with a dinosaur in it.
I really enjoyed it, but I felt like a lot happened without them actually accomplishing anything other than destroying a city and burning down a valley.

I thought it was really good. It had good action, terror, suspense, and heart. Yes, it can be a bit clunky in the beginning, but I felt it really found its groove in the later half if the film, and its heart is in the right place.

As someone who has seen every single Jurassic film at the cinema, I can honestly say the human part of this film was ok, I love the OG but the moment I saw the dinos a massive grin appeared on my face I was 11 again. i really never cared if the films were groundbreaking, there like a lot of franchises just a lot of fun. Yes, the 1st one was out of this world. Out of the new trilogy Im putting this in 2nd place with JW2 in 3rd, but each to there own
Came for the breakdown, stayed for the Dad-puns.
There were a bunch of neat dinosaur moments but everything ground to a halt once all 8 characters were together. It was weird how, once all the jurassic-verse folks met, suddenly every set piece and every shot had to have them all in a line reacting to stuff and being caught in the middle of things. Every shot.
And why did they fix the locusts, they had an easy setup for the next three movies to be a dino post-apocalypse. And the three after that could be dino-riders. We almost had Dino-Riders!
Dino-Rider would require them to get the right to Ark. Might as well turn it into a Ark: Evolved movie then.
I think they should just leave the Jurassic franchise alone now that movie number 6 has arrived. And the locust's plot doesn't seem too strong for a second movie in a row especially how the conflict is easily able to be completed by our more than capable team from JP1.

Just got done with the movie. I personally enjoyed it. The nostalgia, scenery, and visuals. I mean who hates seeing Dinosaurs! Sure the story line wasn't as great, but I still enjoyed every second of it especially the BARBASOL!

Just saw it today, I think it was the best of the Jurassic world trilogy, but this little kid behind me just WOULD NOT stop talking. Like he kept yelling out the dino names when he saw them and his parents were just fine with it. If he’s gonna yell out the names, at least call them the right ones. A dimetrodon is not a spinosaurus
That's one reason I don't go to theaters anymore. Rude people. If that was my kid I would tell them they have to be quiet. But these days rotten parents think their kids are saints.

IMO it contains the right amount of fan service, new dinos that deserved the appearance in the movie, a very cool new character in Kayla the pilot and the movie serves for a very good and needed wrap up.
That said, the movie lacks in story, there's nothing complex in it and I dare say if you have watched the trailer, you have almost already watched the movie then. It's very predictable, but as a fan of dinos and Jurassic films, I still loved it!
Yeah it isn’t a masterpiece but we need to stop expecting every single movie ever made to be a masterpiece. It was a fun movie and I’d rather watch a fun movie with a generic plot then a boring movie with a complex plot

Yea I too was sorta surprised they didn’t include Spino for at least a cameo. Someone mentioned wishing to the see the Doe and Buck jump in and help bring down the Giga. That would’ve been cool too
the Spinosaurus live in Isla Sorna (Site B) which as far as we know is still restricted and intact.
Spinosaurus became extinct again by starving to death.

Just came back from watching it. Action scenes were great, took a while for the movie to get going though. Story line was...interesting. They could have made some changes and kinda didn't need certain characters. Overall, great movie, worth watching. 8.8/10
Yeah I agree, the beginning of the movie rushed to the action to quickly, if they had made it a 3 hour movie like endgame they could have fixed a lot.

I agree with you both. Same problem I had with the previous movie and the Indoraptor. There are enough REAL dinos to scare us, they don't need to create "fake ones" (meaning ones that never existed - I understand they are all technically fake). On that note, they don't need to create a HUGE plot around friggin' locusts and a cloned human being a way to stop the stupid locusts. Dinosaurs are ENOUGH. It reminds me of that plot leak of the never made Jurassic 4 that would have had human/dino hybrids created for the military. Why? Just give us cool dinosaurs and a reason for people to run from them
My favorite part was witnessing the Morbasaures in all its cinematic glory. A real spectacle and will go down in history for best moments of in all of cinema.

Been a fan seeing them all in the movie theater since the first to the latest. Loved the combined casts. I was not disappointed with this latest film at all. A great Summer popcorn blockbuster!

When the first film came out, it was groundbreaking, shocking and completely new. It doesn't matter what they do now, they'll never recreate that original impact on audiences, or the magic, so it needs to die. Same as the Terminator franchise, Alien, Ghostbusters, The Matrix etc etc etc, trying to continue something that broke ground originally, JUST DOESNT WORK!

Absolute hard disagreement, this movie was PHENOMENAL and NOT because I had to "shut off my brain for pure action entertainment" either, but quite the opposite! Clearly everyone is expecting the same Marvel *all-action-no-plot* outline but this is a film and franchise that makes the viewers think and wonder what the correct course of action is between outright eradicating the dinos once and for all and stay safe or finding a way to co-exist with the possibility of them taking over our planet! It's very sad that flashing lights and convoluted plot movies such as Doctor Strange and No Way Home make almost a billion $ while gems like Dominion get berated for being "boring" for those viewers with the mental comprehension of a goldfish, but I for one thoroughly enjoyed this film and was $$ well spent!!!

It's also unfair to compare to Marvel, since Marvel has just a alot of movies and series' backing it up, aswell as having a lot of fans in general.
Also the most logical action would probably be to kill them ngl, not only would they destroy our ecosystem, it will also cost billions to trillions in damage. Ofc every ecosystem will reach an equilibrium eventually, theres no stopping the destruction before it tho.
I also dont think it makes you "think and wonder" that much, only the first JP did that and so far nothing has really topped that in that aspect(or even other aspects like filmmaking, science, morality swap, entertainment value, and even graphics, cause nothing beats good ol practical efx, cg hold up too even today.)
I agree with you. Spectacular but it felt like a greatest hits of the past five movies and nothing new. I kind hope for a continuation but I hope they will transfer to a streaming series at one if the content creators

See, I really liked the movie, because I didn’t heap expectations on it. And the few I had were met. I didn’t really mind that their weren’t any many prominent human deaths, though I do get that that would bum so folks out. I just wanted cool throwbacks, to see dinosaurs, and to see where they brought their various plot threads. I actually really like the whole sequel trilogy. It feels like it tore down that first park, but like in a good way? Every problem, from the issues Malcom brought up in the first movie (remember how he warned against using genetic power? Specifically that corporatizing it was bad and playing with life (genetic power) was dangerous?) to the actual physical location. The island blowing in the second one is a good throw back to the book. It’s not perfect by any means, but nothing’s perfect. The movie was just what I wanted it to be, it gave me what I needed, even if Owen totally would have died if he fell in a frozen lake like that XD
Don't forget that Owen was a Navy Seal, so it probably wasn't his first rodeo involving an unexpected dive into freezing cold water.

Really glad Paul made a video on this movie .The film is really underrated for some reason. It is way better than fallen kindgom and can probably be considered the best sequel after the original alongside jurassic world. No movie is perfect , not even jurassic park !
Yeah no movie is perfect but Jurassic Park is miles better than any other Jurassic Park/ World movies other than the first installment of Jurassic World.

Would of gave it a 7 out of 10. This film to me was more relative to a closure of the old cast. If they stayed true to just about the dinosaurs and the bringing all of the cast together. It could of definitely been better.

One thing I didn't get about the end of fallen kingdom and Domination - a building full of Dinos got released into the US, and that somehow means the Dinos are now global
I have been expecting this.
Just watched it finally. For what it’s worth, I absolutely enjoyed the dinosaur action and some of the implementation of dinosaurs in the real world like the black market idea. That’s basically the movie to a greater extent imo..lots of great or interesting ideas that lacked the proper execution. And at the very least, I’m glad they realized the mistakes of Fallen Kingdom and properly redeemed/retconned most of the issues in a way better manner than The Rise Of Skywalker retconned TLJ.

I loved it I'm so glad none of the main cast especially the OG cast died I'm so sick of films bringing beloved characters back just to kill them just like they did with Han, Luke and Leia in the Sequels.

I loved this movie. Seeing the OG trio on screen was the best. Think everyone had great moments in the movie except Owen. Pratt took a backseat which I'm not really upset about. I'm glad the main villain wasn't just another big dinosaur and it took a more science route like the book. The ending with the dinos integrating with other wildlife was awesome
Not sure about that Mosasaurus, though. That thing is going to eat every whale and great white shark on the planet without a struggle and poses a massive threat to the ecosystem.
I thought that animal montage was the worst. Dinosaurs would totally upset the natural order of things... such a Disney moment.

This is me. It was a good film. But seems it tried to focus so much on 1 particular story, that said story took up most of the runtime, leaving little room for as much dino action as we would've liked. I heard Colin wanted to do a 2-Part finale, but Studio didn't care for the idea, resulting in having to cut tons of things & cram bare essentials into 1 film.
I liked it, but I didn't realize the Biosyn guy was the guy who hired Nedry in the first one.
