Tony Iommi's adaptability to the modern sounds of the 90s and 2000s is what sets him apart from other musicians of his generation. He was the architect of Black Sabbath's sound from the beginning. Without him, there would be no Black Sabbath or Heavy Metal for that matter. Singers come and singers go, but there is only one Tony Iommi.
While other classic artists of Tony's generation were going stale, this dude had his ear to the ground, taking in the most innovative styles of the 90s. In this song alone we can hear how he was tuned in to industrial, grunge, and trip-hop
An old flame once said if I meet Dave Grohl, that's it. No rules, I just give it up. Can't say I blamed her. Great dude and an even better tune on this unappreciated Iommi album..
Records are always put together with the best song batting cleanup, they put them together like A baseball lineup. I've heard this from a dozen different bands. Next time you listen to your favorite album always pay attention to the first five songs, especially the fourth one.
@@jeremyjames1659 why would you think Grohl would do that? He's never used electronic drums in a single song he's ever done in his own bands. Tony Iommi is in charge of all the music from this album as well

Wise words.
Agreed fully. Sabbath, Hendrix, and Zeppelin are the true founding fathers of metal.
The modern sounds adapted to Iommi.
The only thing missing for me geezer butler he really helped carry the sound correctly if you catch my drift
@@flightofthebumblebee9529Zeppelin doesn't possess the doomspell necessary for metal. They're a great rock band
Dave grohl and Toni Iommi total masterpiece

Yep, I love his playing on this album ( well... in general). He should've done this in the 80s when Ozzy fucked off to do his solo career.
Great song AND with Brian May on harmony guitars!
best song on the album. I couldn't play this loud enough.
Yeah right. Lol
What album? Can't even find this song on amazon. Gotta come here to YT
It’s a fantastic song but Just Say No To Love is my fave off the album.
Oh hell yeah! Where are the rest of you rockers? This is two generations killing it together!
Right here!! 2021 and still rockin hard!!
Let your neighbors know you love this song! Hahahaha
I let everyone know about it back in 2000 great album
Right here manggg this song gets after it
I wore this CD out when it released
Love the gloomy sound of every track captured for this album. They need to release this to vinyl !!!

Very monster magnet
Kick ass tune.

Gets what, hip hop beats?
This is the song and album that would be the inspiration for Probot
This man is amazing
Primal scream therapy.

Hello misery, you're the best of me
Hey, has someone got the best
The best
The best
The best of you
TOP!
Just imagine Eminem on this 🤯
I'm not sure what Laurence Cottle is doing around 3:48 -- but whatever it is, it sounds difficult.
This could have been from the Road Rash soundtrack
Someone please do a tutorial for this.

For the longest time, I thought this was a Probot song.
Sounds like the riff to "Come Together" by The Beatles.
Great idea guys,
"lets make a song with the greatest metal guitar player and then skip the lead guitar. GENIUS
To be fair he is known mostly for his riffs not shreds
One Iommi riff is worth a million noodles by other guitar players.
It's even better that Tony got Brian May from Queen on the harmony double-stop parts!
It was Iommi’s idea to do it like this.
mr dave from nirvana and foo fighters playing with tony iommi from black sabobbth.
not impressed.
Walk on home, boy!!
He's a big Black Sabbath fan
& trying to do a NIN lol
The dumb hip hop beat ruined it for me, must have been Grohls contribution to the song lol. I can't stand Grohl either.
