Xdefiant and Xdefiant content is so refreshing. I use to begrudgingly watch COD content just to keep up with the bugs that came with updates and new metas/broken weapons. Played COD for years so I’m not saying it’s not an enjoyable experience. If anything I hope Xdefiant keeps going along with its growth and maybe COD will pick up its quality.
How does that even make sense joining your friends and playing this game definitely tweaks to matchmaking you can ensure that you have people on your team of equal or greater skill is if you don’t do that your entire team could be noobs and no matter how good you are you’re gonna get destroyed

I actually turned my sensivity WAY DOWN. Things came together at that point. I hated this game the first couple of days, and I am really growing to love it. I am easily getting two to three kills per life, and multiple kills per magazine now.
This game is such a breath of fresh air! I went back to MW3 and playing that game is so miserable no gonna lie. Hopped right back to XDefiant and man, I have been having so much fun.
The feel of the game took some getting used to and was getting destroyed for the most part when I first started playing but now having a great time with it! Feels good to actually see yourself get progressively better at the game
Just something, I went into the firing range to see the ttks on all of the ars and smgs. For the ars the mdr and acr are tied for fastest (both about 400ms ttk at point blank), the ak and m4 are both basically the same and are like 100ms slower. Between the mdr and acr it’s preference, the mdr has better handling, but about 10m worse range. For smgs the p90 and mp5 both kill about as fast as the mdr/acr but that ttk drops off faster. As far as I can tell the only reason to use either of those two over the ars is handling. The mp7’s ttk is around 350ms and the vector is around 300ms. The mp7 has slightly better range and more mag size, and the vector has a slightly faster ttk, handling between the two iirc is the same. They both kill in 6 shots point blank but obv the vector shoots faster. The heavy barrel seems to make you take 1 shot less to kill with all of the smgs and the ars, so it is very significant, despite only being 5%, generally it makes you kill 10-20ms faster. The cleaners also make this difference, but I’m not sure how well the two things stack together. You might be able to take 2 shots fewer to kill allowing for burn time though which would make a huge difference. Personally I like the mdr and vector over the acr and mp7. The damage drop off feels fucking terrible on the smgs so you’ll want loadouts on both so you can change between depending on maps and enemies.
Great breakdown. Gun feel is something to think of too. I haven’t tried the vector yet but the mp5 gets me in and out of gunfights better than the mp7 for some reason.

The netcode makes it very had to have consistent "feeling" gunfights, It feels like it takes me half a mag to kill someone, and it takes like 5 shots for me to die. And the devs did come out and say they're working on it.
It’s strange because I haven’t been experiencing much of this at all. I’ve maybe had a handful of matches that had a less than par connection experience. Feels completely on par with COD to me in terms of connection.
I definitely feel this, it’s frustrating consistently having the lowest ping in the lobby (15-16 versus 25-50) yet half my deaths show I’m fully behind corners and I die, or I definitely got one or two hitmarkers yet it shows the person who killed me was full health. Other than those two gripes though I’ve been having a blast, really can’t wait to see how they continue developing this game
@_billyklubb_ are you playing in the skill based matchmaking mode? Respectfully you just might not be that good. This game is a shooter but you can't play it the same way you play COD
Also accepting that some maps kinda dictate the weapon one should play is worth to consider. Third echelon hq is extremly tight and with tons of corners etc. Certainly rough for dmr/sniper and sometimes even ar's. But with smg's and shotguns its a banger. Vice versa with the more open maps with longer corridors.
Hot shot is in a way similar to TDM, I like it better than kill confirmed from cod because it shifts focus towards the hot shot and utilizes the whole map rather than people running straight to the main choke points. Protecting the hot shot or going for an assault on the enemy hot shot with your team is fun
@@JereRaiski Why not? More game modes are not bad. Doesn't take away form Team focused game modes in the slightest. Nor do you HAVE to play the non team ones. They want more people to play the game, alot of people want TDM/FFA let them have it. I love the more focus modes, though personally i'm tired of losing matches because my team is playing TDM and not the obj, get those players on TDM, and let the obj player play thier gamemode. Simple.
Needs better net code and at least theyre aware and working on it. If you havent experienced it, youre the one benefiting from it lol. 120 hz, Lan connection and 19 to 25 ping 99% of games and shots dont register or i get smoked after already behind cover. Using the sniper made it clear to me i wasnt just tripping. If you snipe and hit someone youll get the hit marker but still get killed by them. No damage done either. Just didnt register that i pulled the trigger
It's not just the net code. The servers themselves are the issue. Currently XDefiant servers have a tick rate of 12. Twice as bad as COD and 6 times as bas as CS2. I doubt they'll upgrade the servers and this was by design knowing most new games die really quickly and nobody will be on XD when the new CoD comes out. It all seems like a quick cash grab
i am totally sucking at this game but also enjoying it. Still having occasional bouts of rage and frustration because losing stinks, but overall, its quite enjoyable!

I got called a sh!t player today despite having an OBJ score or 6.2k, all because Mr.TTV was kill thirsting and cleaning every kill, he ended up with 48 kills and 37 deaths with ONLY 52 OBJ score I had 23 kills 18 deaths amd a solid quarter od the kills I should have had were taken by him due to the netcode and yet I still was top leader board on escort. Wild to me that they called me specifically, a trash player, they're reason, I was using the riot sheild and m16 "Which arent meta". My score and KDA say otherwise lol.
as currently as now, abuse those netcode+bunny jumping. spam jump left and right while shooting, not only it doesn't punish your accuracy, it felt like it reset your recoil pattern on every jump and the server doesn't read hit into you. use it, until the fixed it. because your opponents definitely gonna use it against u.
@@aouyiu they will change it when it's ready, they actually implemented it on the beta but it wasn't really what they wanted yet, that's why they revert this bunny hoppers mechanic for now, which is unintended.

Mark left an awesome tip. Turned down ACCELERATION SPEED down to zero, others say 2% Then adjust sensitivity to 40/40. I did this, except I did mine lower sensitivity. Everything is snappier and with a bit of practice, you will dominate.

Is the ttk just really bad for the m4? It seems like i get in a lot of firefights and get like 5 shots in them and then i get 1-2 shotted. I just started playing, but still feels weird. It's like cold war, but with slower ttk. Obviously im not claiming to be good at the game after just starting, but would be nice to get some info other than "just get good". How do you have over 30 or 60 fps. I tried everything in the game setting and it's always capped at 60 fps and then for some reason the next day it's capped to 30 fps and I did nothing.
I’ve gotten comfortable with the scope in on the tac50 but not the mk44 or whatever the other one is. I love the tac50, acr, ak and mp7. The vector is nasty but it needs to be super up close at least for probably the first 15 levels. I love how team oriented this game is especially escort.

I fully support this. Or at least show us the number of hits like CS2. It's weird how sometimes I get killed by an assault rifle or SMG in like 0.2 seconds even though the enemy was pretty far.

One tip I have is embrace the factions. I absolutely hate stuff like this in video games but it’s here. Learn to like it and use it to your advantage. Biggest flip in how I’ve been doing in game.
My issues are: Not memorizing good spots on maps for defensive and offensive utility and moving. Not aiming for the head as I'm usually shooting shoulders and chest. And one of the biggest for me is not understanding aim assist and left stick connection when shooting.
I would love, if they didn't count the deaths for "Escort". Similar to CoD WW2's War mode. That way, playing the objetive is also more pleasant for guys that really care about their K/D.
Anyone else having issues with your team not even playing the objective especially in Escort? I often find myself being the only team member actually playing the objective.
I was watching xclusive ace's video on MW3 having maybe too many guns and his explanation of it was that when you have a small number of highly specialized weapons, it makes every gun more memorable and unique feeling. Having more is nice but too many and the roles of the weapons start to overlap, lose their unique feel, become hard to balance everything, and detract from each weapon's memorable feel. With less weapons you look at that one gun you did really well with and think fondly of it. 100 different guns and they all blend with eachother. But yeah I'm down for more with new seasons lol
Even if this game is a huge grind on its own, i’m still willing to boot it up every time i’m playing. The game is fun, actually really fun. It’s what i wanted a call of duty game to be for years. I’m so sick of call of duty and what they are doing, it’s more than just boring. It burns people out.
Can anyone give me some advice? No matter where I go I always get shot at by at least 2 people, often from different angles so I constantly die and I can't get a kill without dying at the same time or literally a split second after. I've played FPS games for years and I'm super careful about cover, learning the map etc but I can't seem to do well at this game. I love the game though.

Mk 20 is my favorite gun. I got it bronze already and it's beast if you hit your shots. I've seen all these people complaining about bunny hoppers but they can't bunny hop around my aim. I only need to hit two shots lol
Is it really only 2 shots? I was trying out the m16 and l loved how I could 2 burst people. It feels so fast to kill and accurate but not landing those bursts is punishing
Honestly if your good with movement i recommend the mp5 for close range it might not be the most powerful or have the highest fire rate but it has good iron sights similar to the ak47 in the ar category it's probably the most powerful but is it the most accurate acr says otherwise but ak is better up close and has better iron sights.
Best tip: Play on Mnk Turn sens all the way up to 30 1600 dpi B HOP every single corner then strafe opposite of your opponent (: Thank me later when you drop 40+ kills a match (:
I keep looking up tips since I haven’t really played any FPS a lot since battlefield 3 and I played BF 1 a lot as well. Those are much slower paced, I haven’t played CoD since MW2 like 14-15 years ago. Soooo I’m getting my cheeks absolutely clapped in this game. I have fun but good lord my buns are sore after each game. I’m hoping I get better since I have been enjoying it even tho I did way too much
The game feels weird some games the ttk is low, and im loving it, next game enemies have 800 hp and im hating it also a lot of hackers no clipping above the map
My only real issue is the crazy headshot multiplier. Either dial it down a tad bit so it’s not crazy insta kill. No reason I should put 4-5 shots into someone in chest of someone, they spin around immediately one shot to head. Now obviously when my aim is trash and I’m hitting low body aka legs obviously I deserve to die lol.
XD is ok and to me its more like overwatch than like COD in its gameplay. Yes it has guns like COD but it doesn't really feel or play like COD to me, everything is slower and because the maps are huge you spend a lot of time runnin to get back into the fight. Where it is like COD are not good things, people jumping all over the place, gettin sniped from across the map, the powers (BO4 anyone?), matches are super sweaty and matches are really uneven, you either get wrecked or you wreck the other team a lot of the time. Its cool to have something else to play, I liked Splitgate and Rogue Company too, I'm more than happy have all the COD sweats go play XD, but I don't think they'll stay because its realistically not really like COD.

Yeah any fps that has acceleration I turn off. It helps with muscle memory.

I used shotgun to hold/defend B site on plane crash map (idk name) and one-shotted most enemies contesting B

How do you have over 30 or 60 fps. I tried everything in the game setting and it's always capped at 60 fps and then for some reason the next day it's capped to 30 fps and I did nothing.

I’ve gotten comfortable with the scope in on the tac50 but not the mk44 or whatever the other one is. I love the tac50, acr, ak and mp7. The vector is nasty but it needs to be super up close at least for probably the first 15 levels. I love how team oriented this game is especially escort.

I fully support this. Or at least show us the number of hits like CS2. It's weird how sometimes I get killed by an assault rifle or SMG in like 0.2 seconds even though the enemy was pretty far.
Im struggling to win gunfights, im low level and so are my guns so maybe as i rank em up they will improve. Enjoy the game, just suck at it early on. Thanks for the tips
Weapon leveling is tedious though.
At least it's far less tedious than CoD's, my God MW23 and MW22 are a nightmare

since halo 2 i have only played halo match making. this is the first game where im ready and willing to make the switch
One tip I have is embrace the factions. I absolutely hate stuff like this in video games but it’s here. Learn to like it and use it to your advantage. Biggest flip in how I’ve been doing in game.

Not memorizing good spots on maps for defensive and offensive utility and moving.
Not aiming for the head as I'm usually shooting shoulders and chest.
And one of the biggest for me is not understanding aim assist and left stick connection when shooting.

I would love, if they didn't count the deaths for "Escort".
Similar to CoD WW2's War mode. That way, playing the objetive is also more pleasant for guys that really care about their K/D.
Anyone else having issues with your team not even playing the objective especially in Escort? I often find myself being the only team member actually playing the objective.

I was watching xclusive ace's video on MW3 having maybe too many guns and his explanation of it was that when you have a small number of highly specialized weapons, it makes every gun more memorable and unique feeling. Having more is nice but too many and the roles of the weapons start to overlap, lose their unique feel, become hard to balance everything, and detract from each weapon's memorable feel. With less weapons you look at that one gun you did really well with and think fondly of it. 100 different guns and they all blend with eachother. But yeah I'm down for more with new seasons lol

Even if this game is a huge grind on its own, i’m still willing to boot it up every time i’m playing. The game is fun, actually really fun. It’s what i wanted a call of duty game to be for years. I’m so sick of call of duty and what they are doing, it’s more than just boring. It burns people out.
Can anyone give me some advice? No matter where I go I always get shot at by at least 2 people, often from different angles so I constantly die and I can't get a kill without dying at the same time or literally a split second after. I've played FPS games for years and I'm super careful about cover, learning the map etc but I can't seem to do well at this game. I love the game though.

I get slept in medium range by SMGs so rifles are kind of crap. There is no practice zone outside of PS5. The net code is crap not registering bullet hits

Mk 20 is my favorite gun. I got it bronze already and it's beast if you hit your shots. I've seen all these people complaining about bunny hoppers but they can't bunny hop around my aim. I only need to hit two shots lol
Is it really only 2 shots? I was trying out the m16 and l loved how I could 2 burst people. It feels so fast to kill and accurate but not landing those bursts is punishing

Honestly if your good with movement i recommend the mp5 for close range it might not be the most powerful or have the highest fire rate but it has good iron sights similar to the ak47 in the ar category it's probably the most powerful but is it the most accurate acr says otherwise but ak is better up close and has better iron sights.

I keep looking up tips since I haven’t really played any FPS a lot since battlefield 3 and I played BF 1 a lot as well. Those are much slower paced, I haven’t played CoD since MW2 like 14-15 years ago. Soooo I’m getting my cheeks absolutely clapped in this game. I have fun but good lord my buns are sore after each game. I’m hoping I get better since I have been enjoying it even tho I did way too much

My only real issue is the crazy headshot multiplier. Either dial it down a tad bit so it’s not crazy insta kill. No reason I should put 4-5 shots into someone in chest of someone, they spin around immediately one shot to head. Now obviously when my aim is trash and I’m hitting low body aka legs obviously I deserve to die lol.
Buy the battle pass and all your problems will go away. That’s sad but it’s the truth. After buying the BP I had no issues again for some weird reason

They def need to adjust the damage, headshots shouldn’t take me 4-5 shots. Hitting body shots, forget it.. switched to an LMG to help with damage.
I enjoy slow paced fps games it relaxing and fun, sort of reminds me of Battlefield
XD is ok and to me its more like overwatch than like COD in its gameplay. Yes it has guns like COD but it doesn't really feel or play like COD to me, everything is slower and because the maps are huge you spend a lot of time runnin to get back into the fight. Where it is like COD are not good things, people jumping all over the place, gettin sniped from across the map, the powers (BO4 anyone?), matches are super sweaty and matches are really uneven, you either get wrecked or you wreck the other team a lot of the time. Its cool to have something else to play, I liked Splitgate and Rogue Company too, I'm more than happy have all the COD sweats go play XD, but I don't think they'll stay because its realistically not really like COD.
