Thank you for this amazing content!
I'll just write down the points that seem important to me :
    1) Health + Time = Luxury
    2) Don't waste your time with wrong people
    3) Don't think that you're too old to learn something new
    4) Dream BIG
    5) Make relationships with people that are more clever than you / make you relax
    6) The world is small

      @AmericanDreamer 5 років тому +5

Hi, I just want to tell you, I agree with all, but point 5 is something that could be seen from other perspective. I mean, it is a wise decision to surround yourself with people who are at least at some points wiser/more developed than you but then again - there should be some common ground, some sort of 'connection point' so to speak that will act as glue with paper. It has been my personal experience, when I got to start a conversation with people I look up to and find them so inspiring etc but it seems dead end quite soon and from their side mostly, which makes me super insecure and realize - I cannot truly connect with them and they sense that I'm not on the same wavelength as they are. What would you suggest for this? I do find it a big boost for myself to be in touch with such people, they work as alarm clock for me and I need it, but the relationship is not equal. I mean, at one point I will become more equal to them but while I'm not - how to get that relationship/friendship rolling and healthy and enjoyable?

We think so much alike. I'm so ambitions and seeing my friends already settling in their early 20's is saddening. Where is their drive or passion for something more than just the simple life? I've worked hard and earned an $88,000 scholarship to a private university in NYC and I've been so grateful for the opportunities that arise from just taking simple risks or stepping out of your comfort zone and pushing yourself for your goals and ambitions. Risk is inevitable, so don't be afraid to take risks. Establish objectives and most importantly invest in yourself now. Learn a skill and always have a crave for an increase of knowledge. It's beyond rewarding to see yourself progress and accomplishing your goals then reflecting when you see your old friends, you realize how much you've grown as an individual.
Just a little long rant from me to you. Marina is right, anything is possible so dream BIG. I'm 20 years old, thanks for the advice Marina your wisdom is free but priceless.

The first part of this video isn't actual anymore.
I used to feel bad for so much partying I did on my 20es, I did lose some opportunities due to that.
But now, 10 y later, COVID made feel like that was the best choice of my life and I feel so sorry for the today's 20yo kids who won't be able to have it... Now I am on my 30s and more mature, really happy to have enjoyed my younger days and having no excuses to work hard and becoming a home body where I am, because it's all that's left for doing now.

Hi Miss Marina. I'm Benjie Mae Dela Cruz from Philippines. I just really want to learn how to speak English fluently. I mean I can write and talk in English but I felt like that it wasn't good enough. That's why I search how to speak English confidently. Until I saw your channel. I thought your channel will just help me how to learn more about English but it's not what I expect. Upon watching your videos I found some videos like this that really inspires me. This is an eye-opener and a reminder for me. I have learned a lot from some of your videos that I already watched and I wanted to watch more of your videos and learn from it. I now loving to learn more and explore things that will help me in the future. Thank you miss Marina. You are one of an instrument of God. 😉😊

Its not about studying but what you want to do in life. Dont study till your mid 20s and realize you have been getting As but no idea what the real working world is like. To spend the next 5-10 years figuring out what is it that you want to do by then you are in your mid 30s. Earning money n getting As is important but theres so much more to it. Be a Michael Jordan, an all rounded player.

It is one of the most amazing and inspirational videos I have ever watched in my life ( I have already downloaded so that I can watch it again whenever I am stuck in a big stuff ) actually, all your advices you gave in this videos are familiar to us and I am quite sure that some of you guys have already heard it before. But the strange is that we never believe in what we know or experience. We absorb other advices more easily than ours and that is the reason why we need marina here. Some of your advices are a little new to me and the rest are the thing I always want to hear. It is absolutely a big motivation for me to move forward. I am just a student in grade 10 from Viet Nam and you know, the study there is put more pressure on us than
in any other country. I am kind of competitive person and it is so easy for me to change my mind or be affected by other opinion ( a little bit like a pushover guy ) I love the way you edited this video and talk to us gently. All I need when I am stuck in a dilemma is just someone to listen to and has somethings about bias in common. Driving time, wisdom and health on my passion and improving myself maybe the only goal I can not surpass this year. It is time for me to start and live an interesting and balance new life. Love and always subscribe your channel.

One thing you mentioned about dating, I'd like to Signify that being in love with somebody is a kinda motivation and protection of image, what I mean by that is a person take carefully the things he do and the goals he set for not being devalued and disgraced in the surrounding of their partner.
Being in love is a push ahead to Ultimate actualisation of goals .
    that was i felt .

Hi Marina , I am also a 20 year old girl with exact same dreams that u had in ur 20 s. I do have a dream to start my own business , and to settle in the united states . I took commerce stream when i was in 10 th grade . I completed my higher secondary with 98.75% marks. I took chartered accountancy , since my dad was an Accountant . My whole family wanted me to be an Accountant since it was a more traditional job , suitable for a woman. I knew from the very beginning that this isnt my cup of tea,.. Since then , it has been 2 years , i havent yet cleared my exams. I was academically a well performing student previously, So my transition put my family down. I donot wanna do this but still , they wouldnt give me another chance than this . i am 20 now , i have totally lost hope in life and is in a completely devastated situation . I have never been a privileged girl , i have never went on a holiday , never went out with my friends, or went for a movie . The course that i chose is so depressing that i lost almost all my friends and i am a total loner now . I still dream about having a better life , but deep inside i know nothing is gonna work or come true.. My parents wont even allow me to travel outside my city to study . i lost my interest in studies and is hopeless , waiting to die someday soon , cuz i dont want to live this useless forever. I cannot talk to my parents about this or anything , because they accuse me of the choice that i made when i was 13 years old . Please say some kind words because that would mean the world to me , right now,.. I envy your life. I wish i could live like that , one day ..I wanna escape from this life..

Hey dont lose hope. If someone is coming in front of your goal. Say to them 'No' .I can understand as i am also an indian guy. But this is your time to act . If they dont listen , make them listen. You can do it . And you are gonna achieve your dreams . All the best.
