40 million. If we get less we should keep him. Ramsdale isn't a problem for Arsenal. He signed the contract and Arsenal have the right to keep him at the club if the offers aren't good. The Ramsdale problem is only a problem for Ramsdale.

He and Ortega or city are on same level imo and no one is preaching about selling the later. We want fair competition with city but don’t want to have same squad as city
Ramsdale for 40+ (but NOT chelsea, totty, manch-divided) there is NO negotiating or acquiescing here. Either we get $40+ OR he sits on our bench for THREE years and is the best #2 in the world! I am NOT interested in selling him for as little as 39 million and then having go buy a scrub #2. Edu already ate his own feces by letting Hein and Okonkwo go for free, two perfectly good #2s. Edu paid 28 for Rambo and 30 for Raya. If he's gonna sell Rambo then he better as heck make a GREAT profit. No discussion.
Hi James. I'm happy with 40mill for him. Add in a 10% sell-on clause and I'd call that the perfect sale. But tbh Arsenal should stand firm and demand that type of fee because Aaron is a special player, he's PL proven.
I really wished that Mikel and especially Iñaki could have worked on Aaron's mentality a bit more and iron out the little kinks that seem to be troubling his performance. Other than that, he's a beast and I'll love him regardless of what happens next.

if we sell Ramsdale we must buy 2 keepers this transfer. if you buy second keeper for 15 and sell Ramsdale for 25 it is better to not sell and have a good no 2 keeper instead of gambling with Raya injury.
One thing we can definitely improve on is selling players. We keep unwanted players too long and diminish their value. Our highest sale is Oxlade Chamberlain to Liverpool I think

I wouldn’t sell Ramsdale for any less than £35m. We don’t need to sell as he has a long contract. We need to stop undervaluing our players

@@arvin9425 I think we’ll retain a very good 2nd choice goalkeeper. It’s the old saying “if you don’t respect yourself then don’t expect others to respect you”. We need stand firm and then clubs looking to sign our players will know they won’t be able to nickel and dime us!

He's no.2 too Raya who cost? Ramsdale isn't highly rated regards top teams, outside of Arsenal he's 20-30mil max based on his career to date & market value.

It's simple keep him, he's a fan favourite and great personality to have around the club. The Audacity to suggest Ramsdale has dropped from £30 Million to £15 Million is a joke, does finishing in PL team of the season, qualifying for CL back to back, England International, 26 years old and 89 apps for Arsenal decrease your value? Ramsdale is easily worth £50 Million. We should be focusing on selling the likes of Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Eddie Nketiah, Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, Kerian Tierney, Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares.
He's not going to be no.1 why would he stay he is missing out on big england tournaments as no.1 & regular football? Plus Arteta made it no.1 would be based on form but as soon as Ramsdale form dropped Raya was in but vice versa didn't happen! Plus his value is 20-30mil max he's not that highly rated outside Arsenal. He's clearly no.2 too Raya who cost!!!

Hi James. Tbh Ramsdale was never a problem until Mikel made it a problem... Not saying that acquiring Raya was a bad decision, he's a good GK and now a golden glove winner.
But we've arguably got the best first and second choice GK's in the PL. Mikel needed to capitalize on that imo. Rotating them and giving them a more equal amount of minutes in the season could've not only have benefitted Aaron's situation more but it could've favoured Arsenal's season in the grand scheme of things.
Ramsdale cost us multiple times with his cowardice. Constantly kicking long because he was too scared to play short.
@@davejordan9776 I hear you but those are things Iñaki and Carlos could've easily fixed if they wanted to. Let's be real, we've seen Ramsdale play both long and short in his breakout season for Arsenal🤷♂️ think about it...
All I'm saying is that the evident issue was that Mikel made the decision to get Raya in on loan but excluded Ramsdale entirely. He could've alternated them and get both of them on par to play the way he needed them to.
We’ve always sold badly and let too many run their contracts down - even Edu left in his prime on a free 🤷🏽♂️
Another solution that nobody mentioned is having one keeper play all the PL games and the other play all champion league & cup games (Like they did with Ospina-Leno a few years ago). That way you increased Ramsdale value and potentially sell next summer.
There's no way Arteta is playing him in the champions league, he would have done it last season if he was open to it

@@domagojhrgovic7419 he wants to give himself the best chance of winning the champions league, he doesn't just want to play in it. So he will play what he believes is his best team to do that. So he will play Raya. Ramsdale will get the league and FA cup only unless Raya gets injured or suspended. It's not that hard to figure out how Arteta thinks on this subject. He's not Arsene Wenger

We need a backup with a similar style to Raya. The change to Ramsdale is too much and caused panic in our defence.

If no clubs put a sensible bid in for Ramsdale, we hold on to him. We will have a stronger squad next season so hopefully we will have longer cup runs for him to play in. We need to break the cycle of just giving our players away for less than we brought them for. He’s still really young for a goal keeper, England international and he’s quality. 40 mil minimum!
The thing is: we dont have to sell Ramsdale. If the right offer doesn't come in, he is staying. Simple as that. Yes it would be harsh for him as he wants playing time, but we are not in a position where we have to sell.
Yes I agree but if we keep him another couple of seasons then his value will rapidly go down as he isn’t getting the game time to improve himself. We would lose out on at least 30/40 mil
I love Ramsdale enough to want to let him go, because he simply needs game time even when he makes mistakes. The problem is that Raya will be allowed to make more mistakes than Ramsdale. If Ramsdale has one bad game, he immediately goes back on the bench. I don't think the same can be said of Raya as the number 1. Having said this, we might never get the best of Ramsdale again, unfortunately. I'd love to see him win something at Arsenal before selling him though, even if it's from the bench. Unless we get good money for him, I would keep him for one last season as backup. The risk is, if we don't win anything next season, his value will be far less than what we would get now. If we do win a major trophy (which odds are in our favour 🤞🏿) and he plays a part in it, well then his value doesn't drop and the risk would've be worth it.
Great points but can’t see Rambo sitting on the bench happily. He acted like pro last season and was super supportive, can’t see him having so much patience this year. I think it comes down to how he was mugged off really, so fair play on him. Interesting there’s been no more interviews/comments from him, sure that will change though. I’m sure Arteta won’t want him spreading negative energy around the squad.
Arteta is a fantastic manager. I think the other element that I have been a bit frustrated with is how Arteta publicly disposes of players that fall out of favor. This has really also depressed the value as well. Other teams know that our players are on the chopping block.
I'd keep him if the valuation is not met. I believe this is a must for us as otherwise we will show weakness and the other teams will keep taking advantage of that. We must stay behind our valuations so everyone takes us seriously, this is a lot more important than the money itself in my opinion.
Rob holding wasnt starting because of how good he is to be fair. We still need for cb depth imo
You have to look at the one time we got top bucks for a goalie ie Emi Martinez. He had started most of the matches and had a lot of tape on him starting in the EPL. Can’t say the same recently of Ramsdale

James, I couldn't agree with you more! This fits perfectly with Arteta's vision for transforming the club's culture. We are the Arsenal, a formidable team! It's time to implement this in every possible way.
If it doesn't make financial sense we keep Ramsdale, regarding Tierney I personally think that when Zinchenko came in he was more suited to the style of play, but in last season's Arsenal, Tierney would fit better.
Newcastle have Pope whose stats are better than Ramsdales dont get constant link neither will be ok as no.2!
Big clubs don’t often sell for big money. Big clubs pay little clubs lots of money because they really want the player. Smaller clubs pay Big clubs smaller money because the Big club doesn’t really want/need the player.
Small clubs enjoy a sellers market.
Big clubs endure a buyers market.
Havertz should be our main striker. We should definitely bring in a young striker and focus our funds on the midfield, wings and left back position

If you look at all the players we sold, apart from possibly Xhaka, they have all proven to be worth, or even worth less than what we sold them for. Perhaps buying clubs know more than us.

I totally agree about not letting ourselves getting mugged off. I personally wouldn't except anything less than £25-30m. I think keeping him could be a really bad idea though! He would be lucky to get 5 games in the domestic cup competitions then he probably has some bad games because his confidence is shot to pieces and at the end of the season we would be lucky if we got £10m. Better to loan him out to a PL club that need him and can increase his confidence. That way we can at least maintain if not increase his value.
Think our club is going to grow a lot under edu and arteta... they seem to have the finances under control and giving new contracts to hold players value. Not to mention we were strapped for a time with the new stadium

You can sell at the price others are willing to pay. It's that simple- not that Arsenal are bad at selling. If a player we don't want is worth x to us but x-y to another then they just move onto another player. As we build a better squad, rotational sales will be far better. Thing is there are a section of Arsenal fans who slate some players but then expect another club to pony up a big fee?? You only get good prices when multiple clubs are interested in a player- the market decides the price.

Teams across the world dont have the money like that to splurge their budget on one player.... most teams are feeder clubs for the bigger teams in the prem, Madrid and PSG
For me i still favor Ramsdale over Raya by looking the shots raya faced the defence was fenomenal not the goalkeeper

I tend to not disagree with you much James but I think if we cant get £40m for Ramsdale, a loan deal to a good club (potentially with a buy on clause) may be good for him, he can show his worth and likely can sell him to either that club or another for £40m if he does well)

Englands current standard of Goalkeepers isn't high hence Arsenal's no.2 who isn't playing much,whose behind spains no.2 is in England squad. Ramsdales level is a mid to lower table team and they ain't paying 30+mil for a keeper! As much as he's a fan favourite his track record in teams is 2 relegations and throwing away top spot & advantage in 22/23 season!

We know Edu is rubbish at sales. He needs help from the club! I have called for awhile for a dedicated team internally to work on this topic.
With modern transfer fees escalating, this becomes even more important. The clubs PR machine (a formidiable propoganda engine) needs to be a part of that Transfer Special forces squad.

Arsenal doesn't have a Ramsdale problem, We have a keeper problem. Ramsdale was a solid shot stopper who, in 2022/23 season he made at least 35 big saves on the 140 + or - shots he faced. It was his first season under our new ex Brentford Keeper coach. As the season wore on, errors began creeping into his game that were not there before. Then we get Raya, whose reputation seemed to be top class, but boy, was that wrong .The guy is a mistake machine. 30% or more of the goals he conceeded were from his mistakes. In the first Tottnumb game, he made 3 errors on Son's goal aloan. His positioning was poor on the initial cross , he pushed the ball into the middle of the box instead out for a corner kick and then his positioning was way off for the goal, he lined up so that the right goal post was on his left. He was not in the goal for the shot. I've been rewatching the season paying close attention to Raya and have watched up until the end of the NewCastle game. He comes out of his goal too far, which makes him vulnerable to crosses and balls lobbed over his head. This is causing him to scramble to get to the ball, and this is costing us goals that should not have happened. This is something that continued all season long and happened in the CL against Munich, which helped knock us out of that competion.
How this problem was not rectified by the keeper coach is beyond me . As I said before both these keepers are much better than they showed last season and I am ask serrious questions about why Brentford were so willing to part with both there keeper coach and #1 keeper in the space of less than a year for so little. If we had lost Saliba or Gabreil to injury like last season, we would never have finished, so close to the title as we would have given up more shots, giving Raya more opportunities to make errors.
If I were Ramsdale I would be running from Arsenal as fast as possible to get away from this coach who recommended we buy the Runarsson. I'm predicting another mistake infested season by Raya which will cost us games like at Tottnumb and Chelsea this season.

@NicholasBalasal niether 1 right now is good enough. Raya cost us the title in the 2 early season games against Tottnumb and Chelsea with his mistakes. We should have won both game, but because of Raya, we drew both.

Arsenal doesn't have problems selling players, content providers do. You are doing a disservice by pontificating over suppositions . Maybe, but, it's etc, creates unwarranted anxieties and problems with the fan base.
