    What’s amazing is how every single one of them had a different answer but every single one of their answers is correct to me love it!

    When I started working with my coach he described pool as "Perfect position of the cue ball".
    He also put a lot of emphasis on focusing your thoughts on specific thing (word) while you play. One of those things was "touch".
    I guess great minds think alike.

      This is what a guy told me in my first one pocket tournament. Separate the ob to cb ratio. Control the cb, especially in 1 pocket

    What they are saying is sorta correct & is in need of saying. Intangible answers are most always full of motivational words. To start playing pool, without any instruction, is a possibility, but not practical. A few lessons can go a long way, to get a young player started in the correct direction. Just remember this; Un-Learning a bad stroke is a lot harder than learning the correct one. A LOT HARDER.... When you have successfully learned to run a few balls, your attention should move to Learning the Break Shot., It is the first shot in the game. If you don't develop a good Break Shot, your ability to compete is limited.

      In the past my sambo coach once said if you want to learn something practice it 1000 times, if you want to un-learn a bad habit practice it 10000 times.

    Nice Pool Vlog Edition here Max. My key concept in becoming a great player would be DEVOTION in getting better and my one word to define shooting great pool is Concentration because if you have a high level of concentration, you won't miss shots or make mistakes. Keep a clear mind from distractions and just think 💯% about the process of Shooting pool. And you'll have no time for that little voice in your head to emerge. Message me to learn more about this process.

    Max, one of the many things that you do well shows in the interview.You are an excellent interviewer. You don’t try to interpret what you’re being told you don’t try to interpret the answers you let the answers be the answers that is spectacular interviewing. Thank you for all you do.

    What's up Opinion Seeker's, I wanted to know while having an honor to be around local player's in my town do you think while trying to take my skills to another level is it ok for the guy's to be in a childish playing mode all the time. instead of actually practicing to be a better player. once I found myself using pool as an outlet to learn to stay focused am I to serious because every shot is never the same close but not quite.I thought going around grown men will help mature the younger guy's that's coming up.

    Hey Max, I've been enjoying your videos. Thank you. Hey, next time you're back in Ohio you'll have to come over with Todd and play some pool. I just got my Diamond a month ago and I love it. But Todd and I have been playing. I think we are going to play at his house next week. I'm practicing for the Derby City in January. I can't wait. It may be a quick tournament for me. lol. But I'm just excited to be playing again and getting back out there.

    Trust is a great answer. My dad and I are in a league currently and I can't get him to "practice" (shooting games with me) more than once a week prior to league day. Even then he rarely plays more than a few hours. Then during league play he beats himself up over how terrible he is and how he can't make long shots cause he can't "see that far." The guy wears glasses, he can see. He'll even admit defeat before getting on the table. He just has the worst attitude because he remembers being amazing in his younger days. I wasn't there then so I can't say. Still, my attitude with every shot is always "I can make this, no big deal." So how do I change the attitude of a 73-year-old man?

    • @tylermassey8735
      @tylermassey8735 Рік тому +1

      Dude, I work with a 74 year old man, this doesn’t really pertain to pool but I think that he’s probably just stuck in his ways. I’ve tried numerous times to get him to think differently but he’d rather just stay the same. I think he thinks it’s too much effort and doesn’t have the patience to change.
