Happy winter solstice! Sorry, I wasn't able to wish it to you sooner! I hope you are finding peace and rest in the southern hemisphere during this time. Sending many blessings your way! 🖤✨
Thank you for sharing your wonderful voice with us! I am captivated by the diverse range of lengths and themes in your work. Wishing you a delightful summer solstice filled with joy and warmth. 🕯
I am sitting here before dawn wrapped in my blanket, listening to the soft rain on the metal roof of this mountain cabin. My entire body is filled with light, the afterglow of this grace filled luminous practice. Every cell of my body feels seen and honored. The singularity of experiencing simultaneously dark and light, heaviness and lightness was amazing. What a wonderful midsummer day celebration. I appreciate your gift so deeply.
You have such a beautiful way with words and expressing your experience. Thank you so much for being so open and for reminding me of how beautiful the simple things are. 🖤✨🙏
Just completed my second listen and have to say, this was amazing, Ayla. I especially enjoyed this sesh's body scan. I have to admit something to you...I typically dread tension release exercises, as I'm never quite sure how hard I should be squeezing, and it seems like such a contrast to the feeling of relaxation that I look forward to prior to the session. I think that's the point, actually 🤭 But even though I gave myself permission to skip it on the second listen, I found myself convinced by your voice to do it anyway. And you know what? It is never as bad as I imagine once I start it🙃🖤
I can totally understand that. You are the director! Go as little or as much as you like! I do enjoy knowing you gave yourself permission to do 'the thing'. Sometimes getting started is the hardest part, often usually. I can relate to this. Thank you for practicing with me Jeff 🖤✨🙏
I wonder why there is a dislike for it. Purely out of curiosity, no other reason. Resisting tension... I mean, it makes sense in a way. I did this practice this morning and you know... I felt like I held back on the first attempt... but as I dropped the guidance each time, I felt like I could be more involved in the exercise. You know what my thoughts are on my experience? I was thinking(even though I was guiding myself. lol) It was that I didn't want to be told what to do. Haha. I felt, "but I don't want to be tense, I want to relax". But then... each time I realized as I exhaled, I relaxed... and it was doing the hard thing... that made that release and relaxation more rewarding. Anyways, just know this never 'Simon says'... this is your own time, energy and practice and I think saying 'no' or choosing not to do something can also be a powerful practice of exercising your boundaries.
@@AylaNovaNidra Haha I love that you were determined to be your own guinea pig in order to uncover the answer! Buy hey, I've always wondered whether you ever have the pleasure of being guided by yourself, and now I have an answer to that as well 😉 To expound a bit further, I think for me, it's the temporary subversion of my expectation that once I lay down and close my eyes, relaxation and comfort will follow for the duration of the practice. That's on me, as you do often advise me to let go of expectations and preconceived notions 🙃 Often, I do this practice after I've mentally checked out from the stresses of the day. And so when I am asked to engage in intentional discomfort, I experience a bit of trepidation. You're absolutely right though, in that by inducing controlled tension and release, the release is much more satisfying than if I were to simply exhale after taking in a breath. I'll definitely have that in my mind the next time you challenge me to a sequence of tension-release exercises... and I shall come prepared, Alya!🤭🖤
I was so excited when I saw your newest Ayla….to celebrate our Summer Solstice. I will need to practice this again as I feel into a deep sleep after our body rotation. I like to believe that my unconscious still picks up all your wisdom throughout it all. With much thanks, appreciation, gratitude and love to our Soul Sister. You are incredible.
Happy winter solstice love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️

I always dislike that part of meditations also. Sometimes I don’t do it. For this one I just tensed a little.
