- The greatest goalkicker in AFL history. Ladies and gentleman, enjoy St Kilda and Sydney royalty known simply as 'Plugger' at his barnstorming best.

Legend has it that on a bus trip down to Geelong for a game he eclipsed Boonie’s record - except that instead of putting away 53 cans he ate 53 family size meat pies from St Kilda sponsor Herbert Adams.
He proceeded to kick 12 in a losing side, and clogged up the away rooms thunderbox at half time.
Terrific athlete.
@M no one cares
@M If soccer is so good, why do you need to preemptively defend it?
@user-vk2wp4ot8h bro says all that and goes for the worst club in Manchester
I was incredibly lucky to watch this man every week at Moorabbin as a kid growing up….the greatest full forward of all time 🔴⚪️⚫️
Incredible speed for such a big guy, phenomenal mark and phenomenal kick too, the fact that opposition defenders admit to being scared of him is a true compliment to the great man. Theres only one Tony Lockett!
Fucken oath man.
The dude was an absolute weapon
What's even more amazing is he looks so much fitter now than he did back then. One of a kind
There's only 1 Tony Lockett.
lol
Tony Lockett, 1 of lifes biggest dumb meatheads. Derrrrr Oi fink Oim gunna punch someone, derrrrrrrrrr.
Lockett was absolutely amazing. We need more like him.
Greatest footballer in history. In full flight he made it impossible for any defender to stop him.
Great call by Sandy at the end of the 1996 Prelim too.
greatest goal kicker in history but lee mathew’s holds the greatest title
Gary Ablett Snr is the greatest.
Tony lockett is my hero
What an absolute legend he was st Kilda forever
Missed his 1994 final quarter for St Kilda at the SCG. Turned round a 48 point lead. As a Swans supporter it broke my soul to watch it, but heck it was impressive all the same and i remember it 30 years on.
You had to feel a bit sorry for Essendon in that prelim. Of all the players to have the kick after the siren it had to be Plugger!
What a legend
Sam Murray Is a legend so is your profile pic
Stephy you're a legend
absolute legend
The Greatest Goalkicker Of All Time Well Done Plugger Wish He’d Got To Richmond Though
Tony Lockett a Guru of Australian rules a extremely busy forward who kicked 1300 goals an icon of Aussie rules in his time who began his career with St Kilda and ended it with the Sydney Swans at the age of 36. Definitely one of the most explosive full fowards the game has had to offer threw the 1990s went on to brake Gordon conventry record of 1299 goals.
Plugger what's more to say hardly ever got beaten such accuracy and that record of 1360 goals which may never be beaten
What a star
One Tony Lockett
Max King needs to watch how Plugger kicked for goal ...
Your a Ripper Tony.
From Thomas James Schmutter.
The greatest
I searched for AFL pig on field and this is what comes up...
This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like
Well if you look at tyson fury the boxer i believe you.
Only saw him twice live . Every thing about his kick was perfect, from the hold to the follow through. Only Peter mckenna kicked better.
Top 5 not good enough for this legend, especially considering that you had to leave out his 1000th goal and his 16 against Fitzroy
Can't believe that channel 7 back in '95 didn't telecast that game. I mean it was Sydney vs Fitzroy but still they should of thought maybe Lockett would run amok.
The same happened when Dunstall kicked 17 in '92 against Richmond. 7 didn't think it was worth televising...
@@blairchaplin1533 well get pay tv then it's better anyway
@@codeword632 I've got pay tv but what has pay tv got to do with the two games I mentioned!? Back in '92 and '95 footy wasn't on pay tv and channel 7 never telecast those two games where Dunstall and Lockett had goalkicking feasts!
Totally hated him being not on my team!
This bloke would have done well in rugby.
toooooonnnnnnyyyyy llllloooooccccckkkkkkeeeeettttttttttt
Anyone else here after Buddy scored his 1000th?
From Thomas you are a, super kick for goal Tony.
Hi
Greatest player to never win a flag
I'd take 1300+ goals over a flag
Him and R Harvey
@@realcrunchy6572 him and b skilton I'd say
Ablett Snr
Plugger one of the greats (only when he played for saints tho
Red and white never suited him!!
He’s big big for a afl player. Wtffff
1083 thousand goals in his career
1360 goals mate
Only guy to have a great record on him is SOS, some days Lockett smashed him and other days SOS kept him down to 5 goals, which in those days was a horrible score but now it’s heaps.
Archie Coucher
How Plugger never killed him for all that pulling and scragging gets me. How many would he kick if he played now?
boganus699 Bullshit. Class is still class.
SOS used to hang all over Lockett and chop his arms.....of course that was legal in those days.
Many AFL clubs in 2024 need him as a kicking coach! Can’t kick straight on $800k a year , pathetic …
So true 20 out on a slight angle and they have to kick around the corner no confidence or skill.
