How the hell did Andrew Walker not win MotY in 2011. Seriously. 12 years later I’m still bewildered.
Easily the worst MOTY has to go Abletts in 94 what a joke!!! 2011 was a close second as Walker was robbed 😡
Moorcrofts mark though, i cant think of a bigger reaction from the commentators. Screaming like someone got murdered haha. GOAT mark imo

Abraham flew in from the next postcode for that grab in '98' Reiwoldt at SCG was a true screamer, but didn't get MOTY.
Brad Ottens' was my favourite. What a hang!
Nick Reiwoldts mark at the SCG would better any of the marks taken since 2016, but it didn't make it in its year.
Jimmy Bartel took an absolute screamer about a half hour after Reiwoldt took his too.

Some wonderful memories of these spectacular moments - and you can look back further prior to 1990 in the VFL era and there are hundreds of iconic marks to treasure, too.
Bruce, Dennis and Sandy calling was just the best
B.T.s call of Ryan's mark is one of the best bits of commentary of all time!!

Modra's 2nd grab was awesome, the other 2 not so much. Must've been slim pickings for speckies those years
I was there, second level, Ponsford Stand, behind the goal for the Allison mark. I will never forget it. When I am senile can’t remember a thing, I reckon I will still remember that one.
Tim O’Brien should’ve won in 2021. One of the best marks I’ve ever seen live

Not a Crows fan by any stretch but Modra's MOTY in 1993 still makes me smile. That mark was insane.

1990 Mitchel got mark and goal of the year
1990 Micheal Mitchell got the mark of the year and the goal the year, what a year for him
Not sure his mark was the best of that year, I liked Dale Kickett's specky against the Swans myself. The goal, however, is a genuine contender for the greatest goal ever kicked.
Maybe Ablett’s was jump on the year rather than mark of the year.

Pretty much all the indigenous players’ marks. They just have that extra flair

94 Ablett didn’t have control of the ball at any stage, should not have been paid the mark!

Not saying Sampi’s was the best but it was perfection. Timing, height, in the hands and perfect landing. Ablett’s should be struck from the records.

That Ablett one in ‘94 was not a mark. Touching it onec, and then tapping it to your thigh before it hits the ground is not a mark. Just saying.
