    I told Jayce the other day that Chase could catch a musky in a mud puddle!! Great technique, thanks for sharing.

    Great vid! I made an effort to jig this year & had some success but also lost a bunch of fish. Seeing you guys have a few pop off makes feel better 😂. Watching them on scope, it's crazy how long they will interact with the jig before finally eating.

    Do you position your boat on top of the shad balls and have your baits directly above them? Or are you off to the side and jigging at the same depth as the majority of the shad you’re marking? Great video as always man! 🍻

      If I have two guys in the boat I generally have one guy jigging on top the shad and one guy jigging in the middle of the bait ball. Wait for results and whoever gets bit the other goes to the same depth! I also jig on the edges of the bait balls and through it. Kind of just drive around with the trolling motor back and forth! Thanks for the questions!

    Question on boat control while jigging. How fast do you keep your boat moving with the trolling motor? And if it’s windy enough do you ever just let the wind push you and drift while you jig? Thanks

    • @mayhems10kcasts
      @mayhems10kcasts  9 місяців тому +1

      Great question. So normally boat speed should be around .5-.8mph. It’s important to stay in contact with your bait. Yes you can use the wind to drift but keep in mind you don’t want your baits dragging behind causing lift in your line and bait. Hope this helps and good luck! Thanks for the questions and views.

      The parking lot scenes gave it away. Any of us locals recognized that in 0.5 seconds.
      My brothers and I have mainly bass fished over the years. But we have had our fair share of battles with those toothy beasts. Quite the adventure when you are using bass tackle.
      The Lake has been under rated for years.

      We don’t ever share what lakes we’re on. The last thing we want to do is upset locals who live and fish the areas we are visiting. It was an Ohio lake though. Thanks for the question.

      Next time try the cove by the inlet tower, locals need to not be whining Mary’s they don’t own the lake…. But appreciate your decorum anyway

      @@mayhems10kcasts Every Ohio lake gets pounded hard nearly every single day of the season. Though, I know folks don't want to get called out for "spot burning" and such.
