I have so much to learn. My previous EFI build was a twin TBI setup for a 88 Chevy Stepside pickup. I used an Offenhauser crossram. It's seriously old school.
You mentioned in your last video something in relation to the transmission you use and the PCM (tune?) you use. Is that going to be discussed in a future video?
So I did a stage 2 swap dod delete on my 08 impala ss but of course I had to change the cam sprocket is it possible to to tune the ecm to the 24x sprocket I put in ?
I have a question when you get another wire harness and p59 ecu to replace the e40 whoever does your harness can they wire up the transmission to 4t65E HD
Great information Thanks for sharing with us. I’m looking at doing a rear engine track car and ls4 is an option.. just need to find a motor and suitable manual transmission but as I’m in Australia there is not a lot of ls4 here as we never had the vehicles they came in. Any suggestions on a manual transmission??
LS4 King What did these come in originally?? I have the ability to make custom adaptor plates etc Biggest problem I face is availability of suitable strength transaxle options given our different market here down under.
Where can I get that P59 PCM, and would it be better for my 2007 impala SS I’m 4t80e swapping it and just want to reassure that I’m grabbing all the correct parts
I plan on doing this to my 08 impala 3.9 but here in Corpus Christi Texas there’s only one pull a part junkyard and they’ve never had any ls4 car just regular impala and Grand Prixs
I was wondering if you could possibly help me answer a question or two I have an 06 GP GXP with the ls4 I'm currently rebuilding an engine that was in the car originally and I'm wanting to upgrade to the truck intake manifold the thing is I'm not sure which throttle body I need to look for the intake is the older cable drive t body I understand I need to purchase an adapter to mount the tbody this basically a DD I'm also deleting the dod
great info, love the vids! im tossing the idea of throwing a ls4 into a Mitsubishi 3000gt, i have no idea if it will fit but starting to do some research on it.
I have a 2008 Buick lacrosse super with a 5.3 liter engine I have had so much parts change out on the car I have put a new ECM, BCM had cylinder head work done, a bunch different sensor changed out a lot of these sensors I changed out 2 or 3 times I even purchased a new engine harness and now it is reading a code about the oxygen sensors bank 1 and 2 I have changed both sensor twice already I just purchased some new ones to change out again I am curious of any specific problems I need to pay attention to that could be the cost of a lot of other sensor that might not be performing a full 100%
You think a 6 speed T675 M7X AWD Versatrack trans out of an Acadia will work with an LS4? The bolt patterns match, the same as the 4T80 Northstar.. can it be programed in the computer is what im wondering?
What harness/ECM swap youd you recommend for me for my 90 Chevy Beretta GTZ running an LS4 and F40 GM 6 speed manual figured on running an ls2 intake and tb, camming it to an ls6 hot cam.
I am modifying my 2006 Impala SS, swapping to an F40 transmission (manual) while trying to keep it street legal. If I swap the PCM can I still use the OBDII Port? Also, any recommendations to not get engine codes from the TCM? Your videos have been awesome! Thank you for providing everyone with so much information, I appreciate any help!
Who would possibly give this guy a thumbs down on this? This is great information that was kindly given to us and is much appreciated.
Glad you've found it useful!
It's like you've never met a Ford fanboy. 'Dumb' doesn't even begin to describe them.
thanks for info you’re the best online source of info i’ve found about the ls4
chris no problem! I’m glad you find the videos helpful!
Keep em coming. The wait and suspense is killing me. I'll be doing the swap in my 04 Indy SS.
Will do! Thanks for the support!

Thank you for posting this. It is difficult to find information on the ls4 and you are providing the best source of info.
Would I even need that if I’m just swapping out my Northstar Cadillac DTS?
You mentioned in your last video something in relation to the transmission you use and the PCM (tune?) you use. Is that going to be discussed in a future video?
Nivlac57 yea, i am going to do a separate video on the trans control. I wanted to do an introduction into the controllers first.
@@LS4King Ok. Cool. Thank you for sharing all of the knowledge you have gained. It's really appreciated.
Nivlac57 no problem! I am glad others find it useful
What if my pcm is the newer one but my throttle body has 8 pin connector what do I have
Hey got a vid or doc for wiring ?
Very helpful information
Which side of the ls4 engine does the ignition control module bank 2 sits on?
So I did a stage 2 swap dod delete on my 08 impala ss but of course I had to change the cam sprocket is it possible to to tune the ecm to the 24x sprocket I put in ?
Can you do a video with like a ls4 paired with a 4l60/80
And wiring harness for a swap
Or any advice I have a ls4 from 07 ss impala engine
Thought some of the early 07’s also had the earlier the first gen components?
Nik Konich negative. In ls4 land, 07 is 58x

I have heard really good things about the F40 6spd manual. My understanding is a lot of Fiero owners use it in their swaps.

I'm trying to do the same thing? How is your build going? Did you have to convert the engine to drive by cable?
What’s up bro I have a 2007 Monte Carlos ss i replace my engine and transmission to a LS4 engine and it’s won’t start can u help me out

The T675 has an internal TCM the T43. I bet it would work.
@@LS4King ill look in to that
Im having problems with the factory computer on my ls4. If i but the p59 can i just plug and go or does it need programmed?
So which one are you running currently on your Monte Carlo?
Bairon Fuentes p fitty 9
What do I need to do this swap in my 99 grand prix gt???
I wanna put a 90mm tb on my gtp. Could that be done as well?
Emilthehun yes, the 90mm can be repined to work with your oem pedal. A tune will be required.
@@LS4King wow thanks bro!!!

I’m doing Fiero swap. A factory 5.3 truck harness/ecu would work just fine for the LS4?
Yes absolutely. A few connectors will need to be changed, but the P59 & P01 controllers often found in the truck applications are great options!
Why do LS4 still have a cam sensor in back and front of blocks
They do not. LS4 is timing cover cam sensor only.
I have 2 ecm's both are E67 and both are the original 2006 Ecm for the vehicle, one is 3.9, one is 5.3
