Thank you! I hope you have a great 4th too... I'm hoping I can make a deal with the owner... He has a couple other big projects and it sounds like he wants to pass this one along.
If I do this one, it will probably be as bone stock as possible because it is a numbers matching car... There's a good chance I'll sell it when it's done so I can get the project car I REALLY want... But who knows... I may wind up with a soft spot for this car and decide to make it a bit more "custom deluxe!"
The bodywork looks pretty far gone! If you are into a complete rebuild from scratch - this seems like a good place to begin - complete mechanicals so that's good. I'd watch if you do go ahead - depends on the price I guess....
There's a LOT of work to be done on that body. The good news is that all of the sheet metal to do it is sitting on the self. Now I just need to get on the same page with the owner to see if we can make a deal.
Only real question is, what are you waiting for? Your ghia paint video will be hard to top, but I know you can do it. Oh, one more question. Will you be using pot-15? 😂
@@SYFGARAGE LOL! As you pointed out, it's "Paint over RUST". Since there is no rust, I suspect POR is the wrong product for this car!!! Oh, and I'm waiting for the owner to sort out what he has in the project so far and what he wants to sell it for. I've already decided I want to buy it if we can come to a reasonable price. I suspect we'll lock it down in a few weeks... Then I just need to move to a new house so I have room to work on it.
Yessss! This Porsche 356 needs to be your next restoration! Looks like a super project car. Long live the Ghia! But, she needs a big brother.
Greg! Good to see you back. Absolutely do it my friend. Full respect to the 356!! Love restorations, especially classic cars.
Thank you! This one will be fun if it comes together.
Yes, in bold letters with a capital Y!
Thanks John! Fingers crossed that I can get a deal made.
Absolutely yes! Every 356 is worth saving! That one looks great!
Thanks Bruce. It will be a major restoration for sure.
Yes Greg you need this!
Looks like quite the project! If you do go for it, I'd love to watch every step of the process! I'd binge watch all the videos while at work :)
Boy that's going to be a handful, and then some.
Get it! You know you want it and this will be a great project!
Hey Greg! Good seeing you, That Porsche 356C is right up your alley!!! I say DO IT!!! Would be good to see you doing what you like to do.

I’m going to be honest, it goes back 10+ years, the interaction is great, so yes!!
I hope this deal comes together! You're right... The conversation in the comment section is awesome.
Lots of work there. It would be nice when done.
Agreed Randy... It will be a mountain of challenges, but I think it's worth the effort.
Do it! Would Love to your spin on this iconic vehicle ❤

If the question is "would I watch it?" The answer is "hell yes I would!" It does look like a pretty big project, but probably really fun to do.

Agreed. Now I just gotta reel it in!
All it needs is just a little love and it will be on the road again.
You are right! I think it will be fairly straight forward.

I think the people have spoken!
Not my cup of tea, but your still young and will have lots of time to finish it. Go for it!

I would get it, this is one of those opportunities that if you miss out on you will remember back and kick yourself every once in a while
I think you're right. I've been looking for a 356 for well over a decade. Most have been just out of reach. This one might be the one to reel in.
it will keep you busy for a week or two :)
LOL! At least! Hoping I can get my hands on it...
