How is it on fuel economy. My urban - 9-10 l/100 and extra urban - minimum around 6 l like grandma and aggressive around 8-9 l/100. What about the hybrid?
@@themorronshacks I found 7l/100km maximum. If you are careful in the city 6.0l/100km. Regional roads(below 100km/h) 5l/100km achievable. The only thing that is worrying me is hybrid battery if you don't drive car for few months...It says in the manual it needs to be driven at least once a month..I do travel for business and occasionally I leave car to sit in the garage for two/three months...
@@themorronshacks yes!warranty for 3 years...so no worry!;) I like the car..very enjoyable to drive..stop/start system in remarkable!! 2l down from non hybrid. I read stories about even lower consumption, but my figures are real word and without to much of effort...
Turbo lag? WTF? BoosterJet has proactive control of the turbine's wastegate with quick servo drive. Turbine is tiny and lightweight, so it gains RPMs in no time. Volume of intercooler is less than 10 liters, and overboost at max power is about 0.6 bar. So, how it can lead to turbo lag? You are driving car with modern downsized motor with FADEC-style turbine control, not an old-kind-good pure mechanical 3L monster of 1980s. I think, you are experiencing intentional 'lag' in throttle responce, introduced by 'snow' driving mode. P.S. I'm driving AWD turbo Vitara LY in Siberia, 2nd winter.
No matter the technology in auto mode due to emissions it is laggy. In sport mode is much better but remap will fix this with early spool. I have driven a lot of cars and believe me it is laggy ;)
@@themorronshacks may be, for Russia they made less ecologic, but more lively mapping :) And, my Vitara has 6AT, not manual. My prev car was TSI 1.2 + DSG7, and yes, BoosterJet a bit less lively than TSI, which has absolutely exellent accelerator response and sporty shifting. But I can't call BoosterJet behaviour 'turbo lag'. It needs about 200ms to rev from 2500 to 6000 under load, with linear power output. And, my fuel economy figures (using 98 premium brand) about 10l/100km, not even close to 5 or 6 or 7.
for the best driving experience get the 1.6 NA engine. it does have 20 hp less but the way that engine is responding is crazy good, plus it sounds like you are on a motorbike :))
The car is great, but consumption is not so. I would buy it in a heart beat if it was around 7 - 7.5l per 100km. 9l-10l/100km is simply too high, even for a 4x4 SUV. My Audi A4 B6 burns 7l/100km, my new mazda 3 burns 6l/100km both are petrol.
Ok maybe you should not cry about the consumption. Please adjust first your driving style and then if you will drive slower you will see that it's possible to consume much less
Use the direction indicator!
9 l/100 km, well done. You can drive this car with 5-6 l/100 km if you drive not like a racedriver like you do.
Yeah if you drive it like a grandmother you can get it to 5 on flat with 60-70, and 6 with 80-90, but who has the nerves to loose his time in waiting
@@themorronshacks well looking at your driving you think you are Nicky Lauda.
@@Coordinator61 Of course even better. Thanks man !
@@themorronshacks hahaha cool. Stay safe man. Trees are very hard.
Yeah man :) thanks 👍
😊 i own a suzuki swift 1.2 glx 4x4, very good car

just brought a vitara s :) nice car
Vitara s 2016 or Vitara boosterjet 2019?
@@shotab8758 2017 boosterjet 1.4
@MagicStick Yes my father just bought 4wd Suzuki Vitara 1.4T, its amazing car
driving turbo Vitara in 'sport' mode on ice in mountines is not the smartest thing, unless you are seasoned rally driver :)
" Stop throwing balls at me"🤣🤣🤣
Great sounding engine. Great car.
Super test❤💪
Just bought 2020 vitara hybrid

As you guys seem to know alot about turbo engine; what about start/stop system, is this not bad for engine if turbo is hot due to aggressive driving?
@@jzoegard this thing is smart, if turbine is hot, it will wait 1..2 minutes before engine suspending.
It would be better if you did not use POV camera when driving fast on snow. Still good video!
İ can do this with Toyota Yaris
Of course even with your bicycle 🚲 too
Is it loud and noisy inside on highway?
Much better than Skoda and Duster. But after 140-150 you will hear more wind, but it is not something that is annoying
Do you need chains or can the car move without them in the snow using the all grip system?
You do not need them. This is 4x4 car :)
@@themorronshacks Heh, famous last words for many stuck drivers ;)
@@baginatora :D, so if you buy a 4x4 you believe in it. Otherwise buy 4x2 and cary on the chains in the trunk :D

I have too black red version :)
The noise is from engine bad isolation not from tyres....
You can hear most car engines when you are at 5k rpm bud...

Have to try it then:) but yeah will be much weaker
Do not agree. I have driven both and ended up buying the 1.4 boosterjet. Much more torque and a great gasresponse.

9-10 is in the city or extra urban with pedal to the metal drive. Normally extra urban 7-7.5 with 90-130 kmh
