- Sadiq Khan has been forced to distance himself from a claim on his website that a picture of a young white family “does not represent real Londoners”.
A picture of a couple and their two children walking along the Thames was highlighted as an example of pictures not to use in Greater London Authority branding. A label on the picture read: “Doesn’t represent real Londoners”.
Mr Khan said the caption was added by a staff member “in error”, and does not reflect his view or the view of the GLA.

I'm Scottish, and this is just my opinion - wouldn't it be fairer for the mayor of England's capital city to be elected by the nation? The workings of a capital city have nationwide influence.

Marriage and family formation is at all time lows. Children out of wedlock all time highs. Now more black kids go to university then whites as a proportion. White boys from poor backgrounds do the WORST in schools.
More young white ppl identifies as LGBTQ+/trans now. (It's legal in the west, so I'm comfortable with that). But they statistically have fewer children.
There is huge national debts/gdp. They have been fighting wars in muslim countries iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria and quiet wars in African muslim countries. (What did they achieve? Why did they truly go to all these wars? Who will truly benefit?.....ohh you, your children and grandchildren (if you had any) will pay for these wars from YOUR tax money)).
So with all this going on, in 20 short years time who will look after the old in the west? Where will the young ppl be, to work and pay taxes to support the NHS, adult social care, pensions etc....there will be MORE old white pensioners then young white ppl that work and pay TAXES.
Where will the new consumers, borrowers and economy stimulatetors come from............

So glad you brought this up . I am an ex Pat who emigrated to Canada 1966 . I visited London last year to look again at my Heritage. Boy was I shocked🙀. I was a minority. I was extremely upset every amenity was run by people of a different nationality . From food services , transport , hotels , Venues. Not to mention I would be the only white personal in queue. I found it to be dirty, nothing like my memories😢. I will never go to London again, but I will continue going to my home town that is almost still the same , I come from the North of England 🏴🇨🇦❤️. My hubby and are (both born and raised in London) left because we were becoming the minority. It is not the home town that we once knew. I am glad that none of my family still live in London.
I visited London 20 years ago. I never met one single white Londoner. It's the same in Europe. I went to Switzerland when I was a school boy. Back in the mid sixties. I returned in 2019 and the Swiss people are overrun with Africans, Chinese and Asians. God help us and our culture.

I got out of London in 1970 because I was fed up with where it was heading.

As a schoolgirl right through the 1950s we were quite proud of our capital London (I grew up in Warwickshire). I am now deeply embarrassed and sad that Khan is the mayor of our capital. I will never visit London again while he is still mayor. An Australian once said to me 'the English have given their country away'. This was when we were in Adelaide visiting family 20 years ago. Another Australian woman on a beach who was originally Dutch, when she knew we were English, said to me "where are all the bloody English in London? we never met one" I think that Aussie man was absolutely correct. I actually felt more at home walking along the main High Streets when in Adelaide and Sydney than in some of our own cities and towns. England's capital is lost to us. When did we become so feeble?

My Grandad was born and brought up in Meeting House Lane, Peckham. He and generations of his ancestors represented white Londoners for hundreds of years. My Grandad eventually moved to the south west when Peckham started to become, 'enriched'. He'd like to go back to see if the house he was born in is still standing. I don't expect he'd be welcomed in Peckham now. It is a disgrace and an insult to native Brits that our Government have allowed, 'Newcomers', to take over OUR capital city and Khan's remarks even more insulting, even though they are sadly true.

I'm a South-Asian Londoner. Born and bred in the East End. I experienced my fair share of racist attacks growing up. However, I never blamed white people as a whole. Because that would be foolish and incorrect. As I've grown up, I have many white friends and have had relationships with multiple white women. I can honestly say this. The overwhelming majority of the white people I've come across are 'salt of the earth' type of people. They are generous, fun, fair and as anti-racist as you can get. They are far more self-deprecating than any other race. Sadiq Khan and I share a cultural heritage, but that's all we share. I wouldn't urinate on him if he was on fire.
