Hey Steve, as well as learning from your HVAC expertise, I also enjoy listening to your commentary as you drive to the job. Its nice scenery where you are.
Like your high quality work and your attention to solving the problem with the melting evap pan! You need to try the heat dough instead of using wet rags! It works better and is reusable! Cute Peter rabbit at the end! Thanks for another awesome video Steve!
Thanks Steve for the video, Enjoyed it brother ,that dude got hot,I think who ever put it in the first time didn't go to school on that stuff,or just didn't care.
nice install Steve... those snow legs help with brazing the lower side of the suction line....more room to get under there with the turbo!!...... we always enjoy your installation videos....
you keep catching me off guard when you say you are going to solder the suction and liquid lines when in reality you're brazing phos copper rods. great video tho. we only use stay brite 8 and stay clean clean flux (sparingly). never had a leak or weak joint yet. i don't think i'll ever go back to brazing when doing residential hvac.
I really like your bags of valves and adapters. You should consider organizing those somehow. Stuff like that adds up in cost and keeping them organized cuts down on time looking for them as well as parts getting lost.
Fuckin A Steve you're the man!!! I bet you wake up every morning and piss excellence.. lol. I know filming in the middle of a job is a bit of a hassle but thanks for the hard work, and keep on keeping on.
Nice job on the install Steve, You were right on to get that evaporator coil as high as you could above that heat exchanger. Do the Goodman condensors come with an internal filter/dryer ?
another good goodman install, i like cutting out a small sheet metal piece around a line set going into a plenum over lapping the main cover before brazing lines so its easier to remove a cover in a future, great video, how was a rabbit stew?
You could have used a clamp on the suction line armor flex to prevent burning it, that way you could have used one whole piece, with all that stuff you have in your truck I know you have clamps. LOL.
I know on Goodman “A” coils you’re have to change the pan if putting on oil furnace to a “High Temp” pan. Just a thought. Maybe that slasher that installed it didn’t do that.
Good Job and Thanks for the vid, been learning lots from you and the others! I do have one question... Why didn't you line a drier on the liquid line, or did I miss it?
Question, How do you handle the repair on the valve seal on a new unit if you did overheat the valve and you need to repair the seal considering the unit has the gas in it and if you off seat the valve to repair it you will loose the gas? Do you have to vacuum the line set to get the nitrogen out (while loosing the gas from the leaking seal) and then try to reclaim the rest-repair-then reinstall the gas?? Thanks for the video.
steven lavimoniere I would like to see the process if you ever run into a situation where one of the valves is leaking. It would be interesting to see how you find out it is leaking considering you might have nitrogen in the lines how you separate the nitrogen gas from the freon in the process. That would make a interesting video. Thanks for the response.
First babe don't overheat the valve!! Put some kind of a heat sink on or arout it like a wet ray or heat sink dope! Experience will help ya alot from doing stuff like that! I won't lie as I burned a few of them myself!! LOL
bradley morey best to run nitrogen while brazing to prevent the inside of the pipe from getting black scale on it .but not to much or you will build pressure and blow out the solder
Get out the old grinder, if the furnace is over 10 years I would replace her only when you are doing a over haul, other wise I want a good 20 years with some repairs .what a lift kit on the compressor

The new shelf for the coil -that was the best part. Bejamins are even better when they're yours!
Dwight Bennett i like the way the shelf came out great way to build them
Thanks Steve for the video, Enjoyed it brother ,that dude got hot,I think who ever put it in the first time didn't go to school on that stuff,or just didn't care.
Awesome job raising the coil. It all came out great. Thanks for posting!
efman2k3 i am happy with the way the coil replacement went
You should tape the suction line when you start putting the insulation, now all the trash is inside lol nice video by the way
I totally agree about taping the copper
You always leave it way better than you found it. Good job.
Randy Kocian i try my best
Your good at the sheet metal work, Steve. Keep up the usual.
Good video Steve I'm a new ac tech learned a lot thanks
Nice looking job Steve, and customer was happy with installation to....
Bob Parrott he wanted cooling in his house
nice install Steve... those snow legs help with brazing the lower side of the suction line....more room to get under there with the turbo!!...... we always enjoy your installation videos....
SeudoSmart 527 i put snow legs on every condensing unit now.
Nice job. Always the extra step, and a happy customer
gekkedirkie i try my best

Nice job. That system will last a long time because it was done right.
Richard Fossani i believe your right
Great job as usual Steven, I finally got me some youtube and goole+ time. That is a nice vacuum set-up I still have a lot to buy.
First Choice Service LLC ( StL MO) the vac set up works great
Yeah looks like it does it would have came in handy yesterday and today.
I really like your bags of valves and adapters. You should consider organizing those somehow. Stuff like that adds up in cost and keeping them organized cuts down on time looking for them as well as parts getting lost.
Very good job. Nicest part was the cash!
Fuckin A Steve you're the man!!! I bet you wake up every morning and piss excellence.. lol. I know filming in the middle of a job is a bit of a hassle but thanks for the hard work, and keep on keeping on.
John Spartan thanks for the support
A true AC “artist”!
Is that silver solder you’re using?
And, can you show how you flare the ends of the copper next time you have to do it for a job?
Looks good steve
awsom70 i am happy the way it came out
i like this,, neat and clean... i cant help it,, i just trust the yellow jackets and the testo

Nice job on the install Steve, You were right on to get that evaporator coil as high as you could above that heat exchanger. Do the Goodman condensors come with an internal filter/dryer ?

Dennis Noone no rabbit stew for me there like pets out side of house
On oiled fired units it is always good to install a metal drain pan. The temp rise is higher on a oil furnace than a gas furnace.
Nice looking job.
MrMultitool thanks for the comment
Gotta love the smell of burning armaflex in the morning. lol Great vid steve.
Ryan Booth out in the real world thing happen
Didn't see a liquid line filter/dryer...
Another sweet job Steve
Harry Dickson thanks for watching harry

Excellent steve!!!!!
Don’t you need a trap to over come the negative pressure in the unit so it can drain ?
I know on Goodman “A” coils you’re have to change the pan if putting on oil furnace to a “High Temp” pan. Just a thought. Maybe that slasher that installed it didn’t do that.
Steve’s workin’ again mama!
How does a coil fall down it should have been installed 3 inches higher in the beginning for more air flow
love him and his dog.
I noticed you brazed. Newer videos you solder. Any reason??
Good Job and Thanks for the vid, been learning lots from you and the others! I do have one question... Why didn't you line a drier on the liquid line, or did I miss it?
+crabjoe this unit has a dryer in unit from factory
good video keep them comming

amtpdb1 if the valve leak you have to pump down the entire system and replace the valves with new ones ,
steven lavimoniere I would like to see the process if you ever run into a situation where one of the valves is leaking. Nice brazing job
I guess that humidity control isn't a priority on Long Island or they wouldn't install such grossly oversized units.
steve, is it best to always run the nitrogen through the high side and let it bleed out the low side line while brazing?
bradley morey best to run nitrogen while brazing to prevent the inside of the pipe from getting black scale on it .but not to much or you will build pressure and blow out the solder
Get out the old grinder, if the furnace is over 10 years I would replace her only when you are doing a over haul, other wise I want a good 20 years with some repairs .what a lift kit on the compressor
great work!
RBT HVAC thanks for watching

USMC 1961 man i have tons of rabbits in the back yard .i do not have the heart to kill them
I noticed your brazeing skills not to sharp but you get the job done
how do you size up the duct work?
nice work. :)
***** thanks for watching
steven lavimoniere
ur welcome. :)
4-5k?
You're kind of a bad-ass. :)
karizmatic5 just a working guy thats it
I've been in the field about 4 years, but lack a lot of the fabrication skills you have for instances just like this. Great job.
What’s that about $7500.
Duct tape suction line before pulling armaflex
Ed Benton that tipped me out when he did that
Mass must be an expensive place to live.
does anybody still pop rivet anything or is that showing my age lol
