I worked at Bob Lanphere Honda in '91 with Dan as a detailer when I was 19. Dan bought one in the black/pink/purple colorway for $5200 one lunch hour. I was so jealous. 2 years later I bought an FZR600, it was very fast, had good brakes, and turned in well, but the 2nd gen CBR600, the F2 knocked it out of the park. It was revolutionary. It was so good that years later I wonder what it would be like to ride my Speed Twin on a track against an F2. I bet it would clean my clock. Just a darn good bike. I wish I bought one back in the day and I wish I could find one now.
I’m 65 and just bought one with 20k original miles. It’s been sitting and I’ve got to service carbs but can’t wait to run it thru the gears.

was my favorite bike..cleaning out the carbs on I-83 on Sundays at high speed was fun and taking the roads up Falls road in PA was fun as well
