Probably more so than any other piece of gear, cold weather gear often comes up short. Brands of all sorts promise the moon when it comes to their sweaters and jackets, but the results often fall short.
I've recently been testing out the Baerskin Tactical Hoodie 2.0 which makes similar promises. Let's see how it stacks up!

Baggy sleeves means you can stack some layers underneath it, if you want. I think it lets you be a little rough with it and it makes a better outer shell than cotton hoodies of my day.
A good thick hoodie under a rain shell, nylon or canvas, has always been a go-to for me. I think the micro-fleece products do better in the damp and wet than the old cotton hoodies of yesteryear. But they layer much the same as the old cotton ones did, under a good rain shell.
These do look very nice. Maybe almost too warm to actually do much work in. More for snuggling up when things settle down. I'll have to check how well it breathes.
Got this for Christmas, cold winters in Ohio. It kept me warm and was great

Thank you for the review; I'm definitely interested but since I live in Georgia, it sounds like it would be too warm for our mostly mild winters. Wonder if they have a lighter version.

They don't hold stock. Its made cheap and shipped out from China. Its just good marketing

Hmm, I don't know that I own a good comparable. All the other hoodies I have are not as "heavy duty" as this one. I have heard good things about the Sitka Ambient Hoody though.
Is it quick drying?
It's not marketed as such but when I had this in the snow, it did dry pretty quickly
I would really like to buy the waterproof one, but I had such a bad experience with my purchase of the 2.0 that I am just afraid I’ll be throwing my money away again. I believe that the BaerSkin 2.0 Hoodie was THE WORST GARMENT PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE. I bought the hoodie in 3X and the body fits fine. But the arms on mine were made for some pencil man, they are stretched tight on my arms from my wrists to my shoulders so I can't wear it over a long sleeve shirt. I see your jacket's arms (and most other reviews on UA-cam) look baggy. And the hood on mine is apparently made for a 50X hoodie as it hangs all the way over my head down to my chin. No adjustment on the back of the hoodie to adjust how far over your head it goes and mine seriously completely comes down to the bottom of my chin completely blocking my vision of anything in front of my feet, rendering the hoodie unwearable for me.
I can get NO RESPONSE from their customer service. And from what I've heard from others, returning it is virtually impossible as you will pay more to ship it back to China than you paid for the hoodie and then they still might not refund your money.
Sorry to hear that was your experience. I think you'd be better off not buying the waterproof one then.
Their support sucks. Bought a size L and it's too small. Trying to get a response from their support on swapping to an XL and can't get a response.

Well, ... thanks for showing the pockets. The pockets are rejects; outside pockets: rotate 90 degrees, or .. put the zippers on the inside pockets. Or both.
